I'm also originally from Rochester, NY and the snow received in MN just doesn't compare!

I'm interested in how you feel after running the course - it sounds plenty hilly.

You can exceed what you think you can do.

Never run it before and I'm just doing it for fun. I don't have a chance! I used to run by pace but nowadays I run by feel and have only a vague notion of the pace at which I'm running.

The description of the Prediction 10M says it's very hilly making it that much harder to run a strict pace. But I just took at look at last year's results and two people finished 6 seconds off their predictions!

As for the amount of snow here, I'm kinda jaded (lived in Rochester NY for awhile where this kind of snowfall was no biggie) so I don't bother measuring but a lot of friends are posting facebook photos showing measurements of 2 to 3 feet.

Pastafarian: If you run it, let us know how it goes. What an interesting concept.

How much snow do you all have so far? Just snow, or is there ice with it?

Have you run the race before? Have you been able to predict your time?

You can exceed what you think you can do.

Sounds like a pretty interesting race, too bad the storm will shut it down. It could be worth trying to do even as a training run.

I am trying to learn to "feel" my pace. Maybe this type of thing would be a good starting point.

Live your life as though you are obligated to make the world a better place. Make a difference today, be the one!

That is a great concept for a race, but I imagine a snowstorm would throw off all the predictions!

Don't feel bad about living so far away. I live close by and may not get to do it either. Possibly no one will get to do it. Forecasters are giving us 50-50 odds of a monster snowstorm this weekend! Yikes!

That is an amusing race. I do not live anywhere near, or would probably do that one!

For people training for a HM, the Prediction 10M is a great workout and a race where you won't care about running fast. Indeed, you're not permitted to wear a watch. You just need to predict your finish time. Person closest to their prediction wins!

Another great thing (if you've been following my suggestions, you'll also guess ...), it's cheap! Only $5 (or free if you're a Frederick Running Club member) until start time!

And the food? Bring a dish to share! Not surprisingly, the food is great!
