I've just been rescued.
I've been really swelled up lately and have been wanting to snack. But that sodium does a number on me.
So I posted a plea on the community feed for snack ideas that are low in sodium. Someone IMMEDIATELY responded with Apples and Natural Peanutbutter.


I just HAPPENED to have both. I yelled for one of my spark buddies, and she immediately got a plate full for me. phew!
Sometimes I just need that back up. Sometimes it helps when someone ELSE does the footwork for me, when I am weak.

And we all lived happily ever after...

yes, definitely. I began the Fiber challenge about 1 year and 9 months ago and it has really made a difference. For the first time in 48 years I could finally feel full! I believe the same happens with good fats and protein.

And we all lived happily ever after...

congratulations Linda on your weight loss.

Susan, do you feel with more fiber you can go longer without food? I've been reading research that higher quality fats help people to go longer without having to eat every 2-3 hours, because insulin is raised every time we eat. It's pretty interesting.

Since February when I added the Rec Center into my life and pain isn't as severe as it was I'm down 6 pounds as I'm not sleeping all day. Since I'm not around people eating all the time it really helps

During the day a four hour gap is too long for me. I'd better not go longer than that.

Now that I've learned to eat more fiber-y foods as well as protein, I'm doing much better. Amazingly better, actually.

And we all lived happily ever after...

I eat when my stomach tell's me to now and I wait for 10 minutes if stomach is telling me it wants food I eat When I was working I ate on every break which was between 2& 3 hours. Now I'm home I'm doing so much better

Daddy, I'm not sure how big he was, the scales only went to 350. He said he lived to eat. Then when he started having health problems, he decided he had to eat to live. He did live 20 years longer then the DR thought he would and most of them were good years.

My biggest problem with family is switching my diet can 37 years ago when I was having sever stump problems and the DR said I cold no longer digest meat. They wanted me t find another Dr. I told them I was no longer in pain, so there was no reason to change. Then when I changed my diet to loss weight, they just said oh well she won't listen anyway.

The Dr told me to never go hungry. It would make me hate my diet and quit. But to make sure I was hungry. If I thought I was hungry and it wasn't time to eat, I was to drink a glass of water and either go for a walk or do something that kept my body and mind occupied. If 10 minutes later I was still hungry to have a snack high in protein and low in sugar. It worked for my, normally the glass of water as all it took.

How often do you eat? And do you eat only when you're hungry? (and if you're hungry all the time what are your food stimuli?)
