Thanks!
I'm going to add my post of successes as part of my blog today.

Soooo....I have discovered that Spunky, my FLEXIBILITY COACH, has done a number on this ole girl!
lol, I REALLY FEEL it.

I finally got my swim in today and was able to swim another full mile. That makes #65 out of 100. At #75 I get my next reward. In June, it will be 2 years since beginning the challenge. I really hope I can finish it by then. I THOUGHT it would only take me about a year. Boy! Was I wrong!

But I was really excited to mark off my 65th mile!

Linda, that is great that you were able to join the Rec center. I go to the rec center here, too. Through the hospital insurance we were getting free membership, but this year the city is giving free membership to seniors. That is nice.

Susan, you are doing really good. I need to start getting more consistent with things. I will have to get a list of when the senior sneaker classes are and try to get there for using the exercise bikes, too. Although, the senior sneakers classes must get my heart rate up anyway, even the ones that are slow (most are) because I really get worn out.

Seems like everyone here is doing really well on their goals.

Susan, great job on all of your successes! And how wonderful that others are able to recognize them. (without fishing for them. lol)

Linda, how wonderful you have a local rec for classes you can do.

STRNGNGRNDED it is a double edge sword walking it does help right now I have worked up to 15 minutes. I joined the local Rec center last Thursday so I can go to the 3 classes a week they offer silver sneakers one of the classes is chair yoga. This week holiday today no class tomorrow doctors appointment I will make it on Thursday.

Susan great job on being consistent.

Ceiling fans when my dinning room fan starts making noise I know it's time to clean. Ceiling fans always seem to be what I always forget to clean along with door knobs trying to remember to clean them more often now.

1. Strngngrnded, I CRACKED UP AT YOUR CEILING FAN COMMENT. TOTALLY HILARIOUS.

2. @Everyone with health issues: I have complete sympathy for your struggles and hope you can find a way to fight through them.

As for myself,
3. I'm super pumped. Over the past two years I've NAILED consistency, I've empowered myself with knowledge about how my body reacts to certain foods and what needs to be done about it. And this year's word, INTENTIONAL, is helping me with my procrastination, which was already improving these past several months.
I've KICKED the daily pop habit and have only had it (since the end of November) on the holidays and then one Diet Dr. Pepper this weekend just for the fun of it. I was being pampered that day.

I've been consistenly working out and INCREASING things like dumb bell weights and cardio time and the effort put into it.
I remember last year at this time I had increased up to 5 lb dumb bells and it was such a struggle to get my arms up in the air (You know you're struggling when your nostrils flare as you lift. lol)
Now, I am up to 8 lbs and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.

Eight pounds seems to be the weight that is heavy enough to DEFINE MY BICEPS AND TRICEPS AND DELTOIDS. FINALLY!!!!! I'm finding solutions that work for me!

My totally ripped 16 year old son said he can REALLY see the definition in my arms.

My HUSBAND said my belly looks thinner from all angles. (and I did not even have to FISH for that compliment.)

And tonight, three of my daughters, my 16 yr old son and I, were having PLANK contests and such. Daughter 13, said she was going to be my FLEXIBILITY COACH (she's VERY flexible). So we worked on that tonight. (Son won the plank contest at 2 1/2 minutes.)

My 22 yr old daughter was amazed how strong I held my two planks for the full 30 seconds, which I have NOT been able to do. (I think I did it that long ONCE last year, after that I could only last 15 seconds.)

Even my BODY is telling me something. It's saying, "I don't WANT to sit still, I want you to WORK me!"

Soooo...after my battles with inconsistency, lack of knowledge, hypo-thyroidism and it's accompanying fatigue, pulled muscle injuries, ovarian cyst surgery, hernia surgery, caring for my mother, and both parents passing, I have found that I've come out on the WINNING SIDE. I struggled through it, but I did NOT stop. I paused, but I never ONCE thought of giving up.

And I hope to see that scale begin to confirm all the above non-scale victories.

Sandy great job on the 2#'s gone! I can understand not wanting to flare up the pain. I'd be hesitant too. The yoga should be gentle enough for you right? Can you swim? Do you have access to a pool?

Linda, sorry to hear you have RA. One of my postmasters said it helped him to walk to ease his arthritis. Kind of seems like a double edge sword though. It hurts to walk, but walking eased it? What does your doc suggest for you?

btw, thank you for mentioning cleaning fans. I need to clean my ceiling fans. (four of them) oh crikey, my ds just reminded me every bedroom upstairs has a ceiling fan. sigh. LOL

I don't think I saw last week's challenge or if I did I forgot it. Guess I have been procrastinating, though. Heck, I have today since I need to get laundry done and a litter box cleaned.

My weakness is mostly if I get on the computer to look something up I end up staying on it. That means I don't get my exercise done. I think this week I've eaten better because I have a cold and made chicken soup that has some vegetables in it. Also had some Chinese without added sugar, so had vegetables in it, too.

I did pretty good with that being said I did too much and paying the price for it. Since last Sunday got mom's ceiling fans dusted went through boxes I still had packed when I moved here February 2017. Moved furniture so I could get agood vacuum job done. Went to library to make copies.

My RA is kicking my butt

I've done a terrible job. I've been relatively low pain & I'm afraid to do anything because I'm afraid it will cause the pain to flare up again. I've already had a talk with myself & I have to go back to yoga tomorrow & that has helped. Walking also helps but it's just been too cold. Still down 2# so far this year.

The good news ? is that losing weight is supposedly 80% food and 20% exercise. About 15 years ago I heard it was 90/10.

I've been slightly overwhelmed with all the things needing done as well as the new attacks on my chickens and the cold weather giving me extra chores checking up on them and making sure they have water that hasn't been froze. Then there's the cats too. And the heater that isn't working properly. Oh, who needs heat in 4 degree weather? LOL There's more, but I won't bore everyone with them.

My body stresses out more when I exercise.

Doing OK.Finishing up tax prep has been a hassle but I'm still working on it. This will be ongoing as more official forms come in. But as of now, I'm up to date. Also, leaves are put into the bucket for the next pickup even though that will be another week off: have to take advantage of good weather when I can get it.

If you want to call it procrastinating, I still have not started my workout program. There are not enough hours in the day for all I have to do, and by evening I'm too tired.

How did you do on not procrastinating last week?

I did pretty well, but still pushed some things aside. =/

This week, what is your weakness?
Is it mindset? not eating as healthfully as you could? or do you think it's not exercising? or something else?
