I think if we have emergencies come up or other things that take priority, that is not procrastination.

Postponing something that should be done for something else, like SP or FB or whatever, is what I consider procrastination.

And speaking of... I need to go vacuum my bedroom. emoticon

I have OCD so procrastination is not my thing. I can never leave dishes in the sink when I leave the house or go to bed. If I start a project I will stay at it till its done. Sometimes this is good but not always. I try to make the disorder work in my life. emoticon emoticon emoticon

My joy is washing the pots and pans and silverware FIRST. I hate doing them. It feels so wonderful to get them over with. Plus the kitchen looks cleaner, sooner!
When I feel procrastinate-y, I rev myself up to do those first, then everything else is easy.

And we all lived happily ever after...

There are so many things that must be done that those you can put off for the time being is not procrastination, but arrangement in your day or something else you might think of ....

Make a list ...some must be done and some not so important.

One rule I follow when that list builds up is to do the hardest one first...

Jackie I'm a Halloween baby but many years ago.

5'1.5" - I shrunk from 5'4"
Summer: Minesota
Winter: Arizona (as of Dec. '08)

Personal goal is to weigh in 159 by the end of March 2017. I did not make my previous goal so must do better...I ACHIEVED THE GOAL OF REACHING 151 IN MAY 2013. A LOSS OF 37 POUNDS! Summer of 2014 I gained 10 pounds of it back while traveling to the BVI's and Ireland so I have set a new goal for 2017 to be back to below 155.

I might get around to this next week - lol Sometimes procrastinating takes the form of finding something else that suddenly needs to be done first, either as an emergency that arises or else just an excuse. I've read that some procrastinating is the result of perfectionism and the fear of failure solved by not ever stopping. That's' not often me. Mostly, it's just too many things falling onto my plate at one time.

Does anybody else have thoughts on this topic?

This week let's work on NOT PROCRASTINATING.

Last week was working on our minds. Part of procrastinating is still a mind set. Sometimes it helps to do smaller things and feeling productive to get energized to conquer bigger things.


We can do this.
