Hey girls, don't be so hard on yourselfs. I think we have all been struggling this month. Let's get a fresh start this month and try to lose a few pounds or at least maintain through December and start dropping those pounds off again in January.

I'm going to congratulate MYMISSY for being the winner this month in our weight loss challenge. I didn't redo the chart but after adding her 7 days of tracking this week we have a winner with 17 pounds for the month of November. Congratulations MYMISSY!!

Well, I finished out November at the same weight I started (which is also my starting weight). Not sure why these last few months I have been having such trouble with losing (and even going a little OVER my starting weight - yikes!), but I will keep trying. The good thing is that I didn't gain any weight in this month that starts the holidays . . .

Oh. I guess the NOVEMBER weight loss challenge ends in December?? I have no internet right now but I came to the library to see who to send the little Kernel to. Maybe it'll be fixed by the time the last pound is counted.

Glad you did good on your Thanksgiving foods. I seem to have fallen off the wagon this whole month. Monday I'm going to Curves and get back on track.

I think the holidays have slowed us down. I lost some since last week, but I think that puts me down to the weight at which I started the month. Did well with Thanksgiving foods!

Yes, it's always good when lost pounds STAY away. I actually had a 1.6-pound loss since yesterday, but I have to wait until next week to make sure it is really gone for good. (Hope so!) Being able to track on your phone - that would make it easier!

Thanks, Janey - that's what I thought you meant (the meals tracker with calorie counts), but I wanted to make sure :). I thought some other people might wonder, too, so I put the question on the board.

Maybe I should try that again. I did it "religiously" for a while, but it was taking so much time, and I was meeting my calorie goals well, so I stopped. But it may be time to do it again.

Hi there, sorry for the confusion. By tracking I mean tracking your food in the calorie counter so you know exactly what you are eating and how many calories you are consuming each day. When I was in weight loss mode several years ago tracking really helped me stay in my calorie range and I would even put my estimated dinner in there before I ate dinner and I would know if I would be able to have for instance a half of potato or whole potato, etc. I have always felt that counting calories was the secret to my weight loss and the more exercise you do the more calories you can have each day and still lose weight. I think in January we should maybe get points for drinking 8 glasses of water a day. I know I'm not drinking what I should.

Question about the tracking: I track every day on the number of fruits and vegetables I eat and on how many glasses of water I drink (+ exercise, of course). But I'm not sure that that is the kind of tracking you mean. Could you clarify that, Janey? emoticon

I have to post early this morning. I really wanted to lose at least 10 pounds by surgery, but I lost 4. I will take it!!!! And I've tracked for 3 days.

I'm so sorry, Team - I actually gained 1.7 pounds above starting weight. I did have a couple days when I just did not eat wisely, but mostly I do. Those couple of days just put on the pounds. But I promise you to do better!

I track every day. Tracked Monday-Friday this week (5 days). Sunday I was eating too much from running my half marathon, so I didn't track.

Still trying to figure out how I ran 13 miles this week, did circuit training twice, and ran another 2 miles on Wednesday and still didn't find any corns. hmmm hopefully next week!

I haven't lost either! And I keep working at it. I think I need to check with my doctor when I have my annual check next month to see if the thyroid needs more help, because the other thyroid "symptoms" are getting worse, too. But meanwhile, I'll keep at it! Onward, forward, Team! emoticon
