Agreed! 193, even if off, is way to high. Glad the Dr. will be there tomorrow, too. good luck.

193 even if off is too high. When do you see your Dr or diabetes educators next?

Thank you so much for the info! No, I gave up on checking my blood sugar, not sure if my meter is set right? I read that TrueMeter can readings can be incorrect, not reading right? I went ahead and checked my blood sugar, it said 193?

Did you take your blood sugar??? Could have been low blood sugar.

There ARE meters to measure your A1C, but they are different from our glucometers. That's the shortest answer.

A1C measures the range of the blood sugars over a 2-3 mth. range. Whereas the glucometer is telling you what your blood sugar is right @ that moment.

I didn't know where to ask this? I felt pretty good this morning when I woke up, didn't check my blood glucose. I ate breakfast and maybe an hour later I was making my lunch for work and felt so shakey and weak I had to sit down! Any ideas why I did this?

Another question? Is A1c and blood glucose testing the same, if not, can they both be checked with a meter? I'm pretty new to all of this!

Thank you!
