The others are asking some good questions...

The amount and what kinds of foods, amount of calories, carbs etc, are dependent on your body build, your current weight, your activity level, your personal tastes... you are unique, and so are your needs.

The best plan is to have your doctor refer you to a dietician to set up some guidelines for you as an individual... and then you play with that a bit and tweak it by testing, testing, testing~ until you end up with a plan that works just for you.

After all, you ARE worth it...

"The real secret of success is enthusiasm..." thanks, Walter P. Chrysler. I believe it. That's what I want in my life--to give my imagination a chance, to live with energy and enthusiasm!
P.S. I looked up enthusiasm, and it says the root words mean God within... interesting...!

Ralph Waldo Emerson said 'Life belongs to the energetic.' But I don't think you have to be frenetic and hyper--some energy is quiet and steady, like a heartbeat... and that works too!

Did you fill out your profile on sparkpeople. That will give you the # of calories, fats, carbs and protein you should have normally. Eat only good carbs. No white bread, white potatoes, white rice. Have the whole wheat pastas, bread, etc. Nuts, fruits, veggies. Eat a healthy diet.

That would depend on a number of factors such as
How much do you weight now?
Are you still losing o maintaining?
How active are you?

Do you have a nutritionalist? They have all the charts and can tell you not only how many CALORIES you should eat per day, but also, what those calories should be - i.e. ratio of CARBS, PROTEIN & FAT.

I'm sorry, I'm not much help. Maybe someone else knows.
