Hey everyone- Ill start a February thread...

Happy Monday everyone..hope you'll are doing well! I ate like crazy this weekend ..I seemed to not care as much didn't lose weight last week lol but I know I should've still stayed on track.. I did still workout..we'll see if I gained, lost, or stayed the same on Friday ..my weigh in day. Good start for this week so far after that weekend of gobbling everything. Worked out/ ate healthy so far today

Great job on the weight loss, but even more so all the efforts!!

It has been REALLY hard over here. I had to pick up extra work for a coworker who was having a family emergency- so I havent had time to breathe. I am so tired!

I have been eating a lot better and exercising a lot more... but I havent lost any weight. I think its a combination of the stress and building up muscle. My pants are fitting tighter :/

Oh well, I am going to move forward! I only have Feb, March, April and 15 days of May to lose this weight!

My weight always seems to rise a bit during my period, then it will go back down. I checked the scale the other day and was down 2 pounds for the month, then my cycle started. Boo. Hoping to see loss on the other side!!! Time to go drink more water...

Hope everyone's having a good week. I've been w/ in my calories but my weight stalled ( at the 5 lbs..even went up for a few days by about a pound, I was upset but working thru it lol) ..working hard to get more off this month..I may need to add more activity..I workout at least 3 hours a week but I know that's not a lot in the scheme of things , but a good amount :) good luck everyone..talk to you soon

Hi there! Good job on the two pounds. I weigh the same as last week so I'm still down 5 lbs which is good but hoping for more before the end of the month..working on it...still staying w/ in my calories except yesterday..first time i went over it in awhile..working out at least 3 hours a week plus walking on my 15 min breaks at work. Hope everyone's doing well..talk to you soon...I almost stress ate today after my stepson's football game/when i saw how much cleaning I needed to do lol I told myself I'll do it tomorrow instead/ go to the gym in the morning too ( went today for an hour)..thank God for this 3 day weekend...maybe the extra cardio tomorrow/ monday will move the scale some more

Hi Team! How is everyone doing on goals? We are HALF way thru January...

I am down 2 lbs.... but really fighting the urge to bake and eat chocolate chips cookies. The last few days have been really hard. My baby is teething and I am short sleep. I want to stress eat. My workouts have been poor- cleaning and walking... I really need sleep so I have the energy to be a person.

Good luck! We still have 14 days left in January! Lets make them count.

emoticon Hi! I'm joining the challenge. My main goal is to lose 40 lbs and I am breaking that up in two. 20 by May and 40 by June. emoticon

emoticon Challenge:
Some sort of daily exercise- this will be challenging but I can fit more walking in to my daily routine.
Water goal-9 cups a day.
Healthy eating -I started eating low carb on Jan 1st.
Feel free to add your own goals- meal and snack prep to keep me on track.

5 lbs this month would be a good goal for me, I think.

I am 6 ft tall, hovering around 228 lbs right now. I am down from 240, but I really want to get under 200.

Exercise is a challenge for me because I have been dealing with foot pain for several months; I can't tolerate large amounts of walking, running is OUT, and standing still hurts pretty bad. Before my foot problems, I liked to use my Wii for exercise (especially the "Just Dance" games), but now I'm using a recumbent bike at the gym for cardio and doing strength exercises with weight machines, as recommended by my physical therapist.

Whenever I have tried to lose weight, the keys to success for me have been (1) drink water and (2) eat breakfast. I am also trying to minimize my consumption of wheat products. I can't honestly say I am eating completely gluten-free, but I have cut way back, and some days do turn out to be GF.

I look forward to meeting my goal with you all!!!!

Fridays are my official weigh-in day. I started at 175, weighed in at 173.2 yesterday, almost 2 pounds down in the first week without doing much for exercise, I'll take it! I really need to get a regular exercise routine down again! I want to start doing yoga regularly to help with my flexibility and back pain, so that should help too! It's great to read everyone's progress so far this year! Keep up the great work!

You're funny 2pups4kids! :) thank you! I actually am not doing anything special for diet. To be honest with you I've had a baked potato and buffalo chicken wings (3 -5) almost every day this week lol..i love wings. I told myself that I'd let myself eat anything I wanted as long as within my calorie range. I also know I like a snack at night so I've done my best to only be at half of calories between breakfast and lunch..other half dinner and snacking..and that has seemed to work..if i go to lunch woth coworker, friend, bf, etc I'll have a smaller lunch then as long as I know about it early enough in the day. I have not avoided fudge, my main snacks have been milk chocolate covered almonds..love them..just had to ration out the amount i could have or hummus or popcorn or whatever to stay within calories. My main change was tracking again so I'm more aware, i stopped almost all of last yr and part of 2014. Paige, are you doing anything special for diet?

Wow 15more and Paige!!! That is awesome!! Goal met for the month on the 9th! Jealous!

I did go to the gym. I worked out for 45 minutes at 400+ calories burned and did a few weight machines. :) I did an ok time eating- under calories but had kit kat and some fudge :/ Hmmmm- choices... I did have two GIANT salads today- heavy on the veggies and light on the dressing...

Are you guys doing anything special for diet? Or just avoiding kit kats and fudge- hahahaha ;)

Hi everyone! Hi 2pups4kids! You can do it.. I've already reached my goal for the month..official weigh in days for me are Fridays lol .. 188.4 ..so excited/proud of myself..so I guess I'll do my best to try to make it to 10 lbs for this month or at least more than where I'm at since I met that/keep going. I did a workout video today-44 mins/ will walk on my breaks at work. Yesterday I did 32 mins of a video by waking up before I had to do school drop off before going to work/walked during breaks/ the same on Weds..good week so far. Tomorrow I'm supposed to do a casino cruise ( about 6 hours) so I'll have to look into what drinks I can get that are lower calorie..maybe wine/ what dinners they offer ( one comes w/ the price)..I should be able to workout before it though..can't wait :) I stayed w/in my calories everyday since 12/26 that's a miracle for me...we can all do this ladies!! Talk to you soon! I'll check the thread periodically/update my initial post w/ weighins..

Today, the baby got up at 4:50. I am already struggling with the desire to not do ANYTHING today. I WILL go to the gym. I WILL clean my house. I just am dying here.

Mon-Wednesday is SOOOOOO hard for me. I didnt track, exercise or anything yesterday... I didnt get home from work until after 9, got the kids to bed and worked on paperwork until bed at 11. :/

I'm in! I want to be down to 135 (from 175) by my 35th birthday at the beginning of September, so roughly 8 months to lose 45 pounds! I also have a shorter goal of being at a healthy weight by my graduation date in May, which would be 154 pounds. Hopefully keeping up on my tracking and having lots of people to hold me accountable will help!

My January goal is to get under 170 by the end of the month, and start getting back into doing yoga on a regular basis. I am also limiting myself to no more than one soda per week and increasing my water intake.

Hey there, I'd love to join this challenge! My CW is 209 so I guess my GW by the end of the month will be 204. Monday was DAY 1 for me to get on track and get things right. So far I am 2/2 with staying in my calorie range and getting in a workout! Yesterday I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and today I did a biggest loser boot camp workout video.

Hi team!!
So excited we have so many of us to encourage and inspire!!

My check in:
I am SUPER proud of myself for today- I did the Denise Austin Get Fit Fast video before work this morning!!! Although Monday and Wednesday are VERY bad eating days for me... (Im a therapist and I stress eat for other people, I think...), I stayed with in my calorie range- not the best choices- but increased protein- so that is good! I am on day 4 of my new lifestyle...
Im catching up on my water. I see back to back clients from 10-7 so its really hard to stay hydrated- I dont have time or privacy to use the restroom...

How did everyone else do today?

I do a yoga class every night via Yogaglo (www.yogaglo.com). $18/mo for over 1K classes - you're bound to find a teacher you like. My favorite so far is Kathryn Budig - intense without being shaming. Hope this helps!

Hi guys,hoping to join! I have two little ones who keep me busy (2.5 year old and an almost 6 month old). I'm finally ready to get back to me.

This week's goals are:
to find some kind of yoga I can do nightly
work on my eating (I'm still nursing, but am at a resolve that I am ok if my weight loss affects my supply a little)
increase my water intake. I was good about doing 8 cups a day until I realized coffee really is a mom's best friend.

Starting weight is 155, final goal weight 125, month end goal weight 150

Hi 2pups4kids..I'm tracking calories and staying in my range (1540 calories) and working out again (at least 3 hours a week between gym and workout dvds to start) and walking on breaks at work. This helped me lose about 40 lbs previously (until I slacked a lot about a year ago til now.."lazy love weight lol") so hopefully it works like a charm again :)

Yay! I am so excited that you guys are in! My internet wasnt working yesterday. But I am doing ok... I know my food choices are WAY better than they were even last week- but I wasnt thrilled with them. I just feel like I am STARVING! I am SUPER proud of myself for working out the last 3 days. I REALLY didnt want to go to the gym tonight- but loaded up the kids and went.

Food- Ok :/
Exercise- Wahooo! 300 calories! And I even ran a little bit...
Water- AWESOME!

I'm in .. CW 193.4 GW 188.4 by end of January..I'll edit my post with my weight as I do weigh ins (normally weekly)

GW met as of 1/8-188.4..I'll post updates through the rest of the month to see where I can get to. :)

no new weight loss this week..maybe I'll lose more next week :)

I'm in! My brother's wedding is this June. :) It'll be great to have some accountability and encouragement.
Today:
Exercise: 40 minutes
Water: 3 out of 8
Healthy eating: Don't wanna talk about it..... ;)

Hey spark people! I have 4.5 months to lose a minimum of 20 lbs for my sisters wedding. (I'd be thrilled with 25) I'm going to lose 5 lbs a month. I'm looking for accountability, encouragement (& inspiration) and other people who are wanting the same!

Challenge:
Some sort of daily exercise
Water goal
Healthy eating
Feel free to add your own goals!
