This was my first time taking part in one of these and I wasn't sure how to record things here....

I was anxious to see how everyone fared this month - especially after turkey day. I am so motivated by what I read. The ups the downs. It was all encouraging to know we are all human and we're in this together.

I am happy to say that I am ending November with a true 5 pound loss. I actually lost a bit more to compensate for the feast I was going to indulge in on Thanksgiving. I gained 3 pounds for one day of OVER-Indulgance ---- GULP the big one. Yet, I worked hard and my body rebounded back to what it was before (sigh water weight and not fat!!!)

I am so looking forward to another month with all of you!!!!

Thank you for the motivation!!!!!

Well, it's after Thanksgiving, and while I tried to keep everything in balance, I still came away with an extra pound -- I guess I'm glad it's only one. I was all set to be bummed about it... but then when I got back from holiday travel, I found out that I'm pregnant! Yay! So I'll put my weight loss plans on hold for now, and focus on staying healthy - still exercising, but I'll be dropping P90X in exchange for walking/jogging and non-extreme workouts :) Many, many thanks to the great people on this board. I just started on here, but I've been touched by your encouragement and enthusiasm!

I am amazed that I lost 3 pounds, my biggest loss in Nov, the week of Thanksgiving! I was very careful the rest of the week, and got my walk in every day. I really didn't eat too much on T-day, either, and didn't snack on leftovers.

I have lost 26 pounds since really starting with this Sept 1!

Well, I didn't achieve my 3.4 goal this month, missed it by 1 pound, but I am not stressing over it, because I finally lost instead of gaining again like Sept and Oct. I need to find some balance, so that is my goal for December. Good work everyone on working towards our goals! Keep plugging away, and I look forward to seeing lots of you over in the December Challenge!

Actual Weight, Monday, November 9: 170 (week from he%^, Halloween candy, no exercise(purposeful rest week), ate so much junk I can't even count it. I started back exercising today with a bang, burned over 800 calories this morning! I am also going to track my food again, and I will expect some results next week. I am feeling focused right now, but I don't want to get my hopes up that this will continue. I must make it continue, it is all up to me!)

Actual Weight, Monday, November 16: 165.2 (down 4.8 pounds! I had an up and down kinda week with my food, but I was very consistent with my exercise, and really pushed hard to burn 1000+ calories a couple days. I have a plan to reach my goal weight by March, so I am really stepping up my dedication. Still gotta make sure I stay focused though! One week is not going to cut it.)

Actual Weight, Monday, November 23: 169.2 (up 4 pounds. I had a really tough weekend. I woke up in the night on Thursday very dizzy, found out Monday night I have an inner ear infection that caused my continuing dizziness over the weekend. When I am not feeling well, I EAT! Plus, no exercise, the whole day in bed Sunday. Ugghh. Trying to get it under control, but being dizzy all the time makes me feel like I need to eat, because when I don't eat enough I get dizzy. I have to get this infection cleared up, and hopefully next week I will be back down to 165, we'll see.)

Hey Ladies!

What a week!! I didn't lose anything last week and stuffed my face with my turkey feast for 3 days straight..I thought..another wash.. NOPE.. I lost 2 lbs.!!!! I am only 5 lb.s away from my goal! emoticon

I laughed because the other day a neighbor approached me and said "don't lose anymore weight, you look TOO SKINNY!!" I laughed!!! Ok, ladies I am 135 @ 5'7 I don't think I am too skinny...LMAO!!!!

Well, today will be a bit challenging since today is my b/g twins 4th birthday (cake) Then tomorrow they are having a birthday party at their school(more cake)..lol..But I have already penciled it into my calories for the week, so I should be okay... emoticon

BONUS: I was able to fit into a pair of size 8 jeans! I can't believe I am a single digit size again, it's been WAY TOO LONG!!!

Oops, forgot to weigh in yesterday! Weight Sunday and today was the same, though, down 1 pound. It was actually lower earlier in the week, but I ate really badlyon Sunday, so I am happy that it is not higher! Apparently, I cannot eat white bread anymore. I felt horrible Monday and Today because of eating it on Sunday!

Great news --- it didn't come back. I really worked it last week to make sure I wouldn't go up in weight as I strengthened my muscles (muscles weigh more than fat yest burn more calories in the long run)

So its official --- I lost my 5 pounds before Thanksgiving which gives me time to get in more prior to and then work off whatever I gulp down on Thanksgiving.

Whew --- now to keep it off.

Hey everyone! Just checking in.. lost 2lbs. so that is good. Didn't exercise too much last week. It was a bit crazy for I missed Weds, Fri & Sat. I'm not upset though, I got back on track this morning. Did some aerobics w/FitTV and strength train. Tomorrow I will be up & at 'em too. I'm also going to stick with my nutrition tracker. haven't logged in a day or two. So, here's to not giving up and getting back to my new routines! :-)

Don't give up! we have all had those months, weeks, & times!

Find something that inspires you, originally my motivation came from material rewards (and still does on some level) but now I have caught the vision of who I am and What I can be like... yes I want to be "skinny" BUT more than that I want to be active, to be able to play and not pant constantly! The daily goals are very helpful! Just set small goals for the first month, originally mine where exercise everyday and and drink 8 glasses of water!

We are here to support you however we can! emoticon

ASTER23, it sounds like you are doing alot of the right things, I was wondering if you are tracking your food? Tracking my food has the biggest impact on my weight loss, I would recommend trying that if you aren't already. In the mean time, you have the right attitude, keep working at it, the scale will catch up soon!

Eh, so this isn't going as well as I would like so far... I'm eating a bunch more veggies and drinking a lot more water, which is good... and I've been climbing stairs at work and jogging on the weekends, which is great. But I think I might be eating more bc of the exercise... so the weight isn't going the way I'd like. But I'll give it a couple more weeks to normalize, and try not to get too down about it.

I started back exercising today with a bang, burned over 800 calories this morning! I am also going to track my food again, and I will expect some results next week. I am feeling focused right now, but I don't want to get my hopes up that this will continue. I must make it continue, it is all up to me!)

I had an up and down kinda week with my food, but I was very consistent with my exercise, and really pushed hard to burn 1000+ calories a couple days. I am kind of surprised that I met my goal for the week. My weight has been very unpredictable for the last several months. I have been dealing with a lot of extra tiredness, and I still did my exercises but with less intensity, so I expected my weight to be up. I have found the reason behind the tiredness, and hopefully my body will get back to normal soon. I am really pleased with my weigh in for Monday and hope to stay on the right track now.

O.K. so I'm late starting in on this month's challenge. I suppose that it's better late then never lol. Anyhow, I have been on a vacation away from weight loss the past few weeks and have eaten pretty much anything that I wanted. The good news is that I really didn't put on too much in the process. Nevertheless, I really hope that I can knock out six pounds in the next few weeks. It will be a challenge getting back into the groove of things, but I'm confident I can do it!

I was pleasantly surprised this week even with having TOM. I lost 2 lbs.!!!!!!!!!!!! emoticon
My hubby is even caling me skinny..I love it!! emoticon

Someone once gave the tip to put on FIT TV (channel 116 on Time Warner Cable) and just do whatever it is they're doing. That has been working great as far as helping me change things up and keep my metabolism fired up!!

It seems to me that males tend to drop weight faster than women, so you shouldn't have too much of a problem meeting your goals!

it is tough how quick and seemingly easy they drop weight but I think you will win in the end if her doesn't get the cardio, etc in!

Ok so I started this challenge Monday Nov. 2nd and just had to weigh this am because my husband did and he started when I did and has lost 4 pounds. I have lost two, which is totally not what I expected. I would have never thought that I'd be down two pounds already. Now the the challenge is really on because my husband has made a bet with me. We both need to lose at least 25 pounds so... the bet is, whoever loses 25 pounds first get to go on the trip of their choice. How awesome is that? After seeing this morning how quick the weight is coming off him, I started to feel a little like maybe this wasn't so fair, but then again he is not working out at all and I am so I'm guessing within a couple weeks I'll still be doing great and he will not be since he is not doing any cardio. Time will tell!
