So I was out of town on holidays and a wedding and I was doing great watching what I was eating. We got to the wedding and found out it was a 12 course meal, I couldn't believe it. But I guess it could have been worse because I swear it felt like I gained 10 pounds. I will try harder in October.

I felt the need to weigh in for the actual last day of the month. I knew my weight was elevated from eating at a buffet for lunch on Sunday, even though I was careful and watched what I put on my plate! Wow, 10 pounds from Aug 31-Sept 30! And a total of 3 inches off my waist!

Yippee!! I'm so excited about meeting my goal (yes, I had to sit in the sauna for 15 minutes to lose the last ounce but, hey, I did it...LOL). Until this Challenge, I hadn't set a weight loss goal for the month so this has been a great motivator. Congrats to all!

I have to say I am so excited about my weight loss. I had my weigh in yesterday at my W.W. meeting and I lost 2.4 lbs. I have to keep doing what I'm doing (i.e. TRACKING: food and activity)

Well, I came really close to meeting my 5 lb. goal, and if I hadn't eaten a frickin' truckload of birthday cake yesterday (not even my birthday), I think I would have been in okay shape! The sad thing is that if I had been really eating the way I should have all month, I could have probably lost 8 lbs. or more. Oh, well - 4.5 lbs. isn't too bad, I guess - and there's always next month!

Brutal, Brutal month. So much going on and I really let myself lose focus. Next month will be way better.

Basically, I got "lazy". I feel like crap for giving up on my short term goal of 155 by September 7. If I had stayed on track, I would have at least made my goal for this week challenge of 158. Oh well, gotta keep trying I guess.)

Once again, I am back for the monthly challenge. I have figured out that 10 pounds is the optimal 4 week weight loss goal for me and will stay with that to challenge myself this month.

Starting Weight Monday, August 31, 2009: 196.6

So this is the first time that I haven't made a weekly weigh-in goal since I started this challenge. I'm not beating myself up too bad over it though because it was due to external circumstances. I had to take some days off of cardio this week because of knee pain. Anyhow, I did lose a pound and a half and should be happy about any loss that I have.

Well, well, well....I don't even know what to say. It's just very discouraging about what is happening right now. I know that I should be happy that I am losing anything, but it is kind of hard to do after the months of success I have had. The weight just isn't falling off like it once did and I have to figure out why. I am doing the same routine I have since I started this thing. I guess that I just have to vary what I am doing somehow. Oh well, time to march forward to next week. Maybe the weight loss will get better.

Holy cow!!! I don't know how in the world it happened, but somehow I managed to drop 6 pounds this week. I actually made goal weight for the first time this month! WOOHOO!! Forgive my excitement on this one. It's just been pretty frustrating with the recent plateau I have been on. Strangely, I have taken more days off from running and not been nearly as strict with my food tracking counts. I suppose that my body had become accustomed to what it was doing. I hope the loss continues and I can finish out the month strong. It's back to running again tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes. :)

Oh well, so I didn't lose any weight this week and didn't make my monthly goal. Life goes on I suppose. I did lose over 8 pounds for the month, so I can't be that terribly upset. Anyway, I am going to try and stay upbeat considering that I only have about 8 pounds left to go until my ultimate goal. I really just need to push it out this next month and then I can go into weight maintenance mode.

OMG I lost 3 lbs. last week! YYYYAAAYYYY!! I knew all that hard work would pay off. I worked out like crazy, and aside from some cornbread and banana bread, I ate REALLY well this week!! I actually lost 6 lbs. this month!! emoticon I am shocked. I am soooo close to my goal emoticon

I feared a weight gain this week despite running 6 miles per day and strength training all last week. Could have been worse, though. I'll chalk it up as my body adjusting to the increase in exercise. This challenge has been so helpful in keeping me goal-oriented. Thanks, Goddess!

I have been having problems with my hands swelling, so I wasn't surprised when I weighed myself on Monday. I had gained one pound. I weighed myself again on Tuesday morning and I was back down to 164. But I posted the 165 because I wanted to be consistent. Just hoping that if I don't lose anymore this week that it will at least stay at 164.

CEEJAY- for me personally I would keep my original goal and when you hit it re-evaluate. But I like to mark things off & complete things, if I changed my goal when I was getting close to it and then couldn't make the last leg it would be defeating. So I would wait and see when you hit 140! just my opinion :)

So this month seems to be bringing me bad luck again. I did weigh myself last week and as I went to enter it my computer decided it would act up so I had to get it fixed. I am finally back and can now record both weeks weigh ins. Last week I was feeling good that I lost at least 1 pound but then I didn't lose anything this week.

CEEJAY21: The weight range for someone 5'7" is 128 to 160 lbs. Depending on your structure 130 may be "too skinny." I am about 5'7" or so with a bigger bone structure and I think that 130 would be too skinny for me.

Basically, I got "lazy". I feel like crap for giving up on my short term goal of 155 by September 7. If I had stayed on track, I would have at least made my goal for this week challenge of 158. Oh well, gotta keep trying I guess.)

After a long, hard week of working out and eating right, I received a big reward today...I am officially 40 lbs. lighter!!!!!! emoticon I lost the 2 gained from TOM plus an addtional 2!!! I can't believe I am only 10 lbs. away from my goal!!! Thanks to Gooddessofhome for your constant inspiration and motivation! emoticon

I treated myself to 3 lowfat Fig Newtons...yummy

I have to say I am so excited about my weight loss. I had my weigh in yesterday at my W.W. meeting and I lost 2.4 lbs. I have to keep doing what I'm doing (i.e. TRACKING: food and activity)

I can't believe I made my weight goal for this week (woo-hoo!)! Not because I wasn't making the effort but because I'm all bloated right now (yay womanhood, lol!) and figured I'd be more likely to have gained several pounds as a result. Hopefully this means that, once the water-weight is gone, next week's weigh-in will be even better!

I had to adjust my weigh-in day from Monday to Thursday...it just works better for me. I really enjoy this challenge...it is in the back of my mind every time I think of putting something in my mouth, which makes me think twice about my decisions on food!

I know what you mean Jollyrobin! I weigh my self several times a week, even several times during the day. I guess in a way I am addicted to the scale :(
One minute, I am at 154, next minute 158. I keep in my head though that weight does fluctuate during the day and I shouldn't base everything on the scale but that is what counts at Weight Watchers! I am real nervous today because I weigh in tonight at Weight Watchers and I let myself go a bit over the Labor day weekend. My biggest fear is gaining and moving my ticker backwards instead of forwards. I'll be sooo happy when I hit my goal!!!!

I have learned the pitfalls of weighing in more than once a week! I started at 188 last Monday, and I weighed in a few days later and saw 184 on the scale. I did a happy dance. Then, we went camping with relatives and the Dutch oven took its toll. As of today, I'm up to 185.8 which WOULD have made me happy before my mid-week weigh in. So, long story short, I'm still on track technically speaking, but I'm still kind of bummed. Here's to a better rest of the month for us all!

I didn't do very well last month. I gained almost five pounds of muscle doing intense workouts. I have discountinued the workouts now my weigh is dropping again. I hope to do better during this month's challenge.
Also thanks to everyone that sent me encouraging words during my time of need. emoticon
I really appreciate that and I refuse to give up.

Actual weight Monday, September 7, 2009: 164.6 (up 5 pounds from last week. I have had a brutal week, last week of summer, relative passed away, sports tournament over the weekend with no planning. Basically, I got "lazy". I feel like crap for giving up on my short term goal of 155 by September 7. If I had stayed on track, I would have at least made my goal for this week challenge of 158. Oh well, gotta keep trying I guess.)

I weighed in a day late on purpose. I kept thinking the 160 on the scale was a bad dream, so I went back to bed to wait for another morning... nope, 159.6 - just a glass of water away from 160.

I just can't believe it!!! I've done it all 'right' - again! I went out to eat on Saturday and had the waitress pack up half the meal ahead, I ate a big salad with low-fat dressing and half a sandwich for heaven's sake! At the fair - NO fried bread, NO cheeseburgers, NO ice cream... I easily met my targets for fibre, fat and calories this week - with a teeny bit of wiggle room of course.

I was so happy earlier in the week, I was down to 157! I haven't seen that on a scale on awhile and I thought for sure I had seen the last of the '60's. Then two days later I was up to 161!!! Aaaack! THREE solid days of walking (4+ hours each), strength training, running, extra cardio, GREAT food... I'm not freaking out, but I'm not happy either! I know about the lag in losses, and I really am happy about the healthy feeling I have. I'm feeling motivated and strong - but it's such a buzzkill to see that scale going UP. Maybe it's broken. Yeah, that's it - it's broken! :P
