SEK - I know you will have a nice weekend! I hope the weather holds our for you and Joshua!

Mary - we are watching the weather closely. It looks like they have downgraded our area but we still have the risk for extremely severe weather so we are trying to be prepared. We could use the rain but not the severe wind and lightening! At this point, I am sure Greg is ready to get the cast off and stitches out! Will they put him in a brace for awhile?

Tessa - I will be the first to admit this has not been my best challenge for me. I have often used the hot weather as an excuse not to exercise. You on the other hand, have pushed through and continued to get lots of activity. I wouldn't feel bad about walking the 7k.

WG - yes, this week has been full of social activity for us! I told Norm yesterday, I am a little over it all! Today Norm is going to lunch with our DD for a belated Father's Day luncheon. It is a one on one time they both enjoy. At least that leaves me home so hopefully I will eat better. Tomorrow is coming all too fast!

Peggy - is your bike a stationary bike inside or are you out biking the neighborhood?

I had to get up first thing this morning and go get blood work done. The lady was really good and got me with one poke. She doesn't like to poke around and couldn't find a vein so she applied a little heat. First time anyone has done that but it worked. One poke and two vials later I was out the door!

Good luck to you all. I weighed today because we are leaving for Kaw Lake later today and won't be able to weigh tomorrow.

Y'all have a great weekend.

Good Morning to all!

Tessa...I too weighed in this am...to get an idea. ..and showed a slight gain...and hope it is gone by tomorrow. That did not set well with me. Fingers crossed for both of us!

Today Greg gets his cast off and stitches out. I am glad for us both. Him...for that had to been hard. I would not like it.

I hope to walk for a few hours today before it gets too hot.

Suppose to get storms today and tonight...did you see that Sharon? What fun! NOT!

TC...how are you feeling?

Okay...off I go.

GOing to work again on Sunday. last day off was June 7th I think. Want to do nothing on Monday....just in case Greg cannot do much...and on Monday...the police guy is coming to drop off stuff and talk to us. I am glad we are geting this....this may work out for us in the end. I fear for us..and our country for the economy....Sounds like it is going to get bad again..true or not...the end results....it is going to get bad.

Okay...wishing all a good day!

Feeling frustrated.. the scale isn't moving for me this week, infact it's up a bit emoticon I haven't gained at all during the challenge so I'm hoping for a miracle tomorrow morning!!!!
I haven't measured since late March and I appear to have lost half an inch here and there so I guess that helps. Too hot to exercise but I'm going out for a walk now..
Did 7K all walking, it's too hot to run (for me), should probably have cycled but we were forecast rain...

Hi everyone. It is summer hot here but not unusual for the time of year. We usually are hot the week of the 4th and that is close.

I was so surprised to see a loss this morning. It is more than I expect to see on Saturday but I'm excited. I had pasta salad, lots, and meatballs for dinner. I had some minty brownies. Only two left so it is going to be OK after today. I was letting go of water yesterday, so that has to be it. It was exciting. I had to get on twice to make sure.

Mary, you make me tired just hearing what you are doing. I'm sorry you have to work so hard. I hope it only lasts a little longer. It is nice that you are getting more business. It is hard to stay in business as a small service business. The local cleaners here has a drive through window but they are on main street so they had to open up part of the building for the drive through. It is strange but works.

That's a ton of steps! No wonder you are tired.

Sharon, I am glad that you are getting out more. It is so nice for you and feeds your spirit. It is always good to get out. You may have to find other ways to socialize that doesn't involve food although it is a fun habit.

Tessa, good for you exercising even when it is hot. I just make myself get up early and take a nap in the afternoon.

Peggy, sounds like you are getting a lot of social contact. It is good for us in so many ways.

Dropped off a pair of masks for the grands. The girls are getting hair cuts so they will need masks that fit over the ears. They are little and I made them ones with elastic over their heads so they don't have to worry about them. Just doesn't work for hair days.

I'm off to eat lunch. I'm hungry. Have a great day.

Mary - I often remember all your dental work and what you shared with us. I pray mine won't be as bad but he did mention when we get these two areas repaired, he is concerned about one of the teeth on the lower right side! EEK! Please no more!
Wow! All the work at the cleaners and all those steps. Must make you sleep good at night!

All this eating out is killing me this week! My weight is up from last Saturday so I need to cut back big time!

Good Morning...

I am here...and I have to be honest...

I am so tired...you have no idea. I did...4 loads of dry cleaning yesterday and filters...yes ...filters.

More dry cleaners are closing down here.

Lapeer Police are coming to visit us on Monday and wants us to do their uniforms. Very discounted price...but there will be a lot. They wanted us to see about doing the fire department as well...and get this...Other cities too....Metamora...and two other places...not sure of the cities. We cannot do them all...and will start small.

This is good news and bad. Good...for we can build up our....business...for money...to sell better. I mean it. I plan on putting the cleaners up for sale in Sept....if we show how busy we are...more likelyl to sell...and with more money.

I think Greg has mixed emotions on this...thinks we should stay longer.

I do not.....for if he drops dead...I just walk away with nothing. I want something...till I can get social security. I have not worked this hard...fto walk away. Plus..it seems like the more we have business..the more breakdowns..and there goes...making money. Same story....different day.

Again..I am exhausted. Todya is...3 loads of shirts...big loads...may be 4 ...that is a lot fo rme. It is hot and wears me out.

Plus...i am getting my steps in...as best as I can...You can ask Heather! LOL!

Sharon...I feel for you and the dentist. It makes me cringe...for I understand. What helped me...and hope this helps you.....is that it is temporary. It will pass. I pray it does not last for 6 years with work...like it did me....! Yet...now ..mine is more maintenence. Still have 2 areas they are watching..but the last three or 4 cleanings...not yet. I also get my teeth cleanerd every three months...deep. Thinking of you ..and lots of hugs. You can vent and share...as much as you wish.

Wishing you all a good day!

Hot for UK at the moment. I've been cycling for about 30 mins today-functional exercise. Met a friend for a socially distant walk, think we walked for nearly 2 hrs. Too hot to run for me.
This week I'm working hard to avoid doing my accounts!!!

Hi Everyone. It is sunny and warm here today. May cool down tomorrow but it is summer and will stay hot for the present.

Heather, that is some storm. So glad you saved the gazebo although it looks like you got your shower as well. It sounds miserable, though.

Sharon, I'm sorry you were miserable later, but it is good that you feel better today. Enjoy visiting with your sister. She may not need the replacements, but it will help her feel more alive which is important. It gives her a future to see because she plans to be there to use the fixtures.

Carol, that's quite a walk. I'm glad you were able to do it. Love it when the utilities come. It means that things are moving forward.

Today is taking clothes to DD and picking up cherries. She has a tree and doesn't eat them. I'm going to see her new deck as well. She and DH have been making their yard more convenient to their entertaining. They spend the summer outside and the neighbors all have open yards. All wander between houses and visit. It is fun for her.

Have a great day.

Sharon - OW! My jaw aches for a week after an appt as I have some TMJ. And even if you try to relax, you tighten up your shoulders and neck. Headaches are sure to follow. I have an appt with a new dentist in August, the niece of my retired dentist. It's funny; when you're young you go to the new guy or gal in town, and if you like them, they retire about when you do, and you have to start over.

WG, I read somewhere that tulips are like candy to deer - are your bulb bandits deer? I've notice some of my perennials coming up in scattered spacesl in the garden.

I walked for an hour today, 55 minutes yesterday. I couldn't go to (stay in for) yoga as I had to get Bob at the Nissan dealership where he took his car for repair. Today's walk was downhill half way and up hill the other half. I figured I'd give it a try as nothing hurt. More utilities have showed up to mark their lines in prep for Bob's fence project.

Oh, Heather, that's quite the feat, rescuing the gazebo. Good (wet) job!

I'm gonna veg for the rest of the day, and do lots of stretching.

I survived my first dental appt! My mouth is feeling better this morning but last night after the numbness wore off I was pretty miserable. I always get a bad headache from the drilling. I'm not sure if it is pressure related or anxiety related. Anyway, I left Roni's by 8 so I could just come home and go to bed. As I say, after a good night's rest, I am just fine today!

We are headed over to my sister's for the day again today. Norm is replacing two light fixtures, one in each of her bathrooms.

Heather - I am glad you saved the gazebo but yes, you got pretty wet!

It started out raining here today but quit by noon. Hot here too!

Sharon, glad you had a good day at the casino. Your challenge for this week is helping me stay on track. Thanks! Hope you have a great time at Roniís! Hope the dentist wasnít too bad.

Peggy, I love days with no plans!

Heather, one day at a time. Some times you just have to give yourself some love! Iím like WG in that I reward myself with something like a pair of shoes Iíve wanted or a purse. After I lost 8 lbs during Lent...I bought a quilt kit Iíve been wanting. So go easy on yourself.

Iím tired tonight so Iíll say good night!

Morning! We were so hoping for a nice rain overnight as they predicted but I am sorry to say it only sputtered off and on. We drove through a real downpour on our way home yesterday from our friends but darn by the time we got home - no rain!

We did end up going to the casino yesterday afternoon. Diana lost her money. I held my own but Norm won about $100 and Ron was the big winner with about $350. He felt very good about the precautions the casino took such as they took our temps before we could enter, gave us a mask to wear, took our face picture (not sure why) and wished us luck. The slot machines were cleaned between players and they had plenty of social distancing. No smoking which was a big thing to us. No self serve beverages but there was someone there to get you whatever you wanted. All in all it was a fun afternoon.

Now I am off to see the dentist. I have been dreading this appt but I am almost glad that we are going to start working on these broken teeth! I hope I am not too numbed up afterward because this evening is our Girls Night. All the females in my family are gathering at Roni's for pizza and girl talk. So it's a good reward for me after the dentist.

Hi Everyone. warm and sunny here.

Sharon, enjoy your outing with friends. It is nice that you get to see each other. Love that you got your hair cut. Hope you feel better tonight and get some sleep.

Heather, it is hard to get back in the game. I'm sure you know how but it isn't as fun as eating can be. You will get there. Remember how good you felt when you were going down?

Mary, sorry it is so hot. Hope things go well today. Glad Greg is able to help you in some ways as it is nice to have support. I'm sure it isn't your thing. You are doing great.

Tessa, sounds like your training is going well. I'm glad you can get out and get moving. It is so healthy to do so.

Carol, how sad to not have your regular perennials to enjoy. The critters eat all my bulbs. I used to have some beautiful flowers but they get eaten each winter. Have a great mental health day.

Arlene, looks like your Sam's visit was a good one. Enjoy your meat and hope the chair is a good fit for you.

Had dinner last night with DS. It was a good meal. I was careful before so it wasn't too bad this morning. I love it that my feet aren't as swollen as they were last summer. It is so much more comfortable. I have felt my mojo slipping lately so I'm going to do some thinking and take care of some things. I need to get my head back into the game and no go on auto pilot now.

Have a great day.

Arlene, Sibley is where my bro and SIL go with their RV when they're up here. A great place to walk. Have you camped at Cross Ranch? We were up there this weekend, not camping, just hiking. A beautiful park and every time we're up there, they seem to have improved something.
TC, the campground was maybe half full.

Yesterday, I dead-headed all my flowers, and ripped out some that bloom then die off. Some of my usual perennials didn't show up - I don't know what's wrong, I didn't do any "Preen-ing" this Spring. So now I'll have to come up with some fill ins. Bob is waiting on utilities to come and flag their lines so he knows where he can put his posts.

Sharon, good job on the hair, girl. When my stylist first met me, the cut was fine, but she smoothed and straightened so much it looked like I had no hair. Now she knows better and I'm fine with her.

Today is laundry and more dusting. Then I'm going to take a mental health break and color. I did my yoga at 9. Maybe tomorrow I'll get up early and take my walk before my hair appt. If I can get my brain up to speed that early.

emoticon

A hair cut, what a treat. Mine was due to be cut 2 days after everything closed here-that was back in March.. My hair is a total mess. Hair dressers may be able to open early July-I really hope so!

This morning I did 20km on my bike followed by a short 3.6km run (training for a virtual duathlon). It wasn't too hot luckily. I'll need to do a longer run (7.5km) for the event but should manage.. walking the end bit is always an option but one I hate to take!

Mary - my heart breaks for you! It is so hot here in MI and I know you don't work with a/c. My SIL just can't hire anyone at their cleaners. As soon as they know there is no a/c, they just aren't interested. Hopefully, Greg will be able to help soon.

Arlene - it sounds like you had a nice siblings weekend. Did the stepson stop in for Father's Day? If so, that was really a nice gesture for a stepson. I hope Darrell can rest up this week. I am so happy to have the haircut. Now that the glow of it has worn off, I see that she left it a little long on top but she did say, "see you in four weeks" Normally, I got 5-6 weeks but I don't think so this time!

Heather - probably because you and Alex are both on a downward spiral (or upward at the scale), you are in it together. Knowing you and how competitive you are, if Alex all of a sudden started losing again, you would probably too. So one of you needs to get motivated. Just remember every pound you gain, you will have to work hard to lose.

So today we are off to visit our friends for the afternoon. We were going to go to the casino but Ron doesn't think he should and rightfully so.

Good Morning to all!

Worked yesterday...so today is just waiting on ppl that come in. I was dying yesterday...too hot. Today will be worse. Have to walk before it is too hot.

Things are getting better I hope....yet...I see the numbers getting higher for the virus again. It figures. I pray I can still get my hair cut on July 11th...that is when they could take me.

I hope you all had a great weekend.

I am still here...but it is so hard right now.

Will be glad when Greg gets his cast and stitches off on Friday. I know he won't be great..but has to be better than what it is now. Better be...you may see me on the news! LOL!

Okay..wishing all a good day!

We're home. We had a very good weekend. Only one little bump. My sister and I had said we wanted it to be just us siblings and spouses but at one point the one brothers stepson and his family showed up. Not sure if the brother knew they were coming but they didn't stay too long with the group. We had decided that because we didn't want it to be a big family gathering yet at this time. Oh well we made the best of it.

I ate too much but the thing that made me happy is it didn't do nasty things to my glucose numbers, actually they were better than they have been. Maybe relaxing a bit helped.

I see there were some good losses. Heather don't give up. I know even tho I'm not doing as good as I want I would be in a whole lot worse spot than I'm in now especially since we've not been able to weigh in for TOPS. Our current Leader is so good, she has helped us keep on track weekly from home. Nothing is official but it makes us THINK. It's days like these last 2 though that can set me back. I haven't stepped on the scale since we got home at 4:00 pm and I always weigh in the morning.

Sharon - your hair looks really cute after you did it yourself. I sometimes have to do the same thing even though I've been going to the same person for many years.

TC - Like Heather I'm a little lost on your steps in getting ready. I will say the first time out for us can get a bit hectic too and this time was the worst since Darrell had pushed so hard on his projects before trying to get the motor home ready that he is totally worn out. I expect the next week will be a recoup time. But I am thrilled with the 2 projects he did for me, my craft cabinet and the adjustable bed. The bed did make a big difference in my getting a decent nights sleep.

Well I guess I best get off and think about getting ready for bed. We bought a bunch of ground meat, pork chops & stew meat at Sams Club in Bismarck and I got that all packaged and vacuum sealed after we got home. I haven't figured it out yet but I know we saved a bundle just on the ground meat. And I also go my chair for my craft desk there, I opened the box but putting it together will wait till tomorrow.

Good night.
Arlene

Thanks Sharon
It is just I feel badly for the challenge even tho' it is not a team challenge....There were only 5 who gained this week and we had the biggest gain between us.....
No matter where this run-away train is headed for us.....I will always be accountable to myself and to this team.

I am not depressed with my gain ( wish I were emoticon ) I feel just fine and full of vim & vinegar! Looking for a project to start this coming week. ( now that the house and outside are fairly ship shape )

And per usual Sharon my friend....you are right ~~~ I would have gained a lot more if I were not accountable! Because I have found myself saying...to myself....Stop Heather....it is only 2 days to weigh in! And changing my mind to whatever I was going to eat.

Heather - This is not a Team Challenge in the way that you are not keeping anyone from winning! Your gains may affect the totals but we still want to keep you accountable each week.
If you weren't accountable to us, how much worse would you and Alex be doing?

We truly care and want you in our challenge!

Sharon.... emoticon once again for all our stats for the challenge....

Alex & I both would like to apologize to the team challengers for making this * not a good week* for the challenge!
We both felt we wanted to get out of the challenge a while back because we both knew our heads were well out of the game...
You should have let us go.... emoticon emoticon

Sharon....your haircut looks great once you fixed it yourself! What is it with hairdressers? No matter what you tell them to do or not to do...we end up coming home & fixing it ourselves! Good job the cut itself is good eh?

TC....I am totally confused about your RV & Van and Storage Parking... emoticon emoticon
I know.....I get stupid... sometimes emoticon
And what's up with those scales eh?

Marianne....poor Alex....he is making his own Father's Day Supper tonight. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Great haircut Sharon; nothing like some self care to make us feel better.

Mantra today - The body achieves what the mind believes.

I skipped lunch yesterday because I knew one of the kids was sending Turkish shawarma dinners in honor of Fatherís Day. We both enjoyed delicious food and I was well within calorie range. Up 0.5 this morning, probably sodium, and will stay at low end of nutrition range today.

OK Ladies, I am finally home from my haircut. I was running out of my Vit C cream I use from Burlington. I drove by and see they were open so I stopped to get a bottle. The store was selling everything 50% off so I got more than I went for. The check out line went all the way from the front to the back but it moved rather quickly. I asked the cashier if they were closing the store or going out of business. He chuckled and said No. Because of the Shut Down they have a full store and the fall fashions are about to arrive so they are just trying to clear out and make room for new arrivals. I think that was smart and by the looks of the baskets full, I'd say they were getting rid of lots!

Anyway, back to my hair. Here is what it looked like when I left home this morning.

To be honest I think the cut is good but when I left the hair salon it was too slicked back.

So I rewashed my hair and styled it myself! It feels so good to have a decent hair do once again.

Carol, our campgrounds are all full. When i got here, there were 4 handicap spots only. Next morning several pulled out and new pulled in. There are currently 2 spots non handicap open. I hope i can get out of storage lot parking my van first then 1.5 to 2 mile walk back to get RV to store. I save food and dogs for last, of course.

I feel the scale is possessed. Last night 239 and this am 189.... Lol !!!! Good loss sleeping, eh ??!! I had my fire, had forgot to switch water heater back from bypass and had no water coming thru faucets for quite some time. Checked storage just to make sure nothing leaking. Had water in bathroom sink but not shower so checked with head off of wand and ok so cleaned it and was able to shower. Now enjoying some german chocolate cake flavored coffee with heavy cream. Yummo !

I wanted to quick get our summary posted as I am off to finally get my hair cut!! To get an appt, I either had to wait for three weeks to get in or take this appt. Since we don't do anything for Father's Day, I took the appt.

So I am off and running. Check back later.

So Sharon, your challenge is great, but for years I've been telling myself I look like Raquel Welch but so far it hasn't worked! LOL!!!

No, seriously, you are correct affirmations to make an impact on how you feel about yourself.

Y'all take care, we are off to Joplin to pick up a few things we can't get here.

Iím sorry Iíve been MIA! So many things going on here & at work. Have a coworker who can be to put it bluntly a pain in the ass!

Iím surprised (happily) that I lost weight. She had me wanting cookies and chocolate! I failed miserably at fiber too. emoticon

TC, love your sweet picture!

WG, yo-yo dieting is my middle name!

Carol, love your affirmation! But sometimes Iím just not!

Tessa, I hope I can still walk a mile at 93! Would be great!

Sharon, I agree with TC about doc. Some arenít sure how to approach new patients. I took lisenpril & had the cough also. Ask if you can take your bp at home for a couple of weeks and see if it is lower at home. Maybe white coat fever?

Hi Everyone. Maintained this week. Not surprising since I was munching on too much the last part of the week. I wasn't listening to my body and was eating for taste.

Other than that, it is a beautiful day here. Happy Summer Solstice.

Ah, yes, yo yo dieting. I'm pretty sure that's one of my problems. I think I started to worry about weight in 7th grade, when I weighed 120 lbs. All my little friends talked about it, and Twiggy was our fashion idol. Sheesh.

I have my favorite affirmations taped on my bathroom mirror, the same ones I've had as my 'signature' on my posts. I have to keep repeating "I am stronger than the food". emoticon
I'm afraid I didn't do so well on the fiber goal.

I hope we get camping this Fall, when we usually like to go. Campgrounds are usually much less full, esp. after school starts. I wonder how it is where TC is camping now?

Sharon, I love that picture of your dad!

We're going up to Lake Sakakawea today to beach comb. As well as I think I'm doing, I'm not going to go climbing over rocks after Bob. I tend to sprain ankles and knees that way. Used to be able to do it in my 40s, stronger legs and better balance from all my aerobics classes.

emoticon to all of us for trying to get healthier!

Moving is important. I'm only 60 but intend to keep at it. My father at 80 climbed a 12000ft snow mountain, my mother at 93 can still walk a mile. Hope I can do as well.

Morning!

My weight was exactly the same as last week. No loss but no gain either. I think in TOPS they call it a turtle. emoticon

Mary - no one could be offended by your post. We all know it to be true. The effect of obesity on your knees alone. Let's look at weight and your knees. When you walk across level ground, the force on your knees is the equivalent of 1Ĺ times your body weight. That means a 200-pound woman will put 300 pounds of pressure on her knees with each step. Add an incline, and the pressure is even greater: the force on each knee is two to three times your body weight when you go up and down stairs, and four to five times your body weight when you squat to tie a shoelace or pick up an item you dropped. No wonder your friend couldn't do it! All you can do is support her. She has to want to lose, no one can help her. But your support is so important to her.

Heather - you should have lost weight from all that work with your floors! They do look nice!

TC - I am sure I will adjust to my new doctor. She may surprise me but I think that is just her personality and will not change over time. I guess Time Will Tell. I hope a new battery will fix the issue with your scale.

OK - now I'm off to check out your templates and see how we all are doing.

Sharon, it is harder to be openly friendly when you first meet someone. I am hoping doc will improve. It may help to tell her what you need from her. Warm fuzzies, alternative treatments, etc. I took lisinopril but i had the tickle cough so it is an intolerance but they list it as an allergy on my chart. My bp is always high at docs so i keep track and take that to my appts.

My scale died as i got on so no clue if wt is accurate. Getting a battery later. Mike brought firewood and we had a nice fire, then a rain storm... Lol ! He chose to sack out on couch. I do have 2 of our 4 dogs marianne.

Mary, i totally agree with you. Personally, since i have benn over 200 lbs again, everything hurts more and... More often. I wonder about my meniscus and if it was torn sooner because of wt gain. Probably !

Good Morning to all and happy Saturday!

About to jump in the shower. Long weekend. Today..work..tomorrow going in to do dry cleaning and shirts. Better that way...do not have to worry about the counter...no interruptions. Greg will be coming in as well. Not the safest to be there running equipment by yourself. ...that is why. Iplan sleeping the rest of the day away after that...tomorrow!

Okay...down a little today. I am okay with that. SLow ...is probably better for me....well...not really...but you know! LOL!

Chiming in on the older and move more bit.

I truly believe because....those that move better when older..tend to have actiitives they enjoy. For some...totally unfair.....with all the aches and pains...due to health.

Have to be frank. and honest...and pray no one is offended. ...not my intent. I have quite a few friends...that are....more than very large.....ie...one friend...is very close to 400 pounds...She is always having issues...complaing about her back ..and more so about her legs. Calls in to work a lot...for she hurts. I truly believe...it is her weight. I do. I just say I am sorry. She is in deniel. She wanted to do the WInter Dash...a 5K this past December. I said...okay...I will walk iwth you. I knew we were not going to do it...for there is NO WAY she could..but...didnt want to crush her dream. Well..she didn't feel well that day! No surprise. She THINKS she can and will....and doesn't not realize...just how bad off she is.

So...lol! I am usually not long winded! LOL!

Bottomline....move as much as you can...it may help you...the day you may not be able too as much...plus...it may help you...getg strong...to avoid getting hurt. I so know ppl that the slighest wrong move...they are in pain. Just not fit....and older doesn't help.

Okay..

everyone take care...good luck this am.

I'm down .8, wasn't sure if it was going to happen so I'm happy.

Good luck everyone.

We out for the day, meeting up with DH's brothers & SIL. Taking a picnic so that's easy. We'll walk 2m apart. Will be nice to catch up but involves quite a bit of driving.

I need to choose an affirmation that works for me. Something to think about.

Good Evening everyone...

Sharon...Thanks for posting our Mini Challenge for this week. Mantras and positive thinking are good for our mental health which in turn benefits ALL our body's health.
My goodness Norm resembles your Dad. Or is it the hat? emoticon
emoticon Sharon's Dad
I do not blame you for refusing another pill.....150/96 is not a terrible high B/P for someone your age....your weight....and seeing this new Doctor for the first time.
Alex always says Doctors are so lazy....that they just order you another pill instead of saying to him....Lose 50 lbs you Fat B#S%A&D.... emoticon ( Alex's words....not mine...LOL...but I agree with him )

emoticon Carol....I agree that it is hard to believe we are 70 with what we do compared to our Moms and Grandmothers.....

TC....love that smile! Glad you are getting ME time AND camping. Glad Mike gave a hand to set things up for you....He is a keeper your Mike....we all should have brothers like him emoticon

WG....I hate tracking period! Whether Sparks or WW or this Noom! When I do my 1200 calorie a day WOE ....it is my best thing to turn to....I do weigh and measure foods esp this high in calories and fats....and I really limit my visible carbs like breads etc...but I find it easy to just keep adding in my head as I make a meal or eat a snack. I do not have to *track* it....although I do sometimes write it down in cursive....just because I love to write cursive LOL

But I do love being here on Sparks! I DO love this team of people and I DO believe that it is friends like this team that always are here for me and that me back on the wagon!

WED & THURS.......I spent both days getting my kitchen & dining room wood floors done. A lot of vacuuming & scraping off of ground in dirt & foods and mopping before the wax coating could be applied.....

BUT it was worth it in the end....

Today....before temps reached the 100 mark...Alex mowed and I did the whipper snipping and then we took our lunch to the waterfront to cool off with the breeze off the river

emoticon NOT looking forward to weigh in ....in the morning!

I just posted our mini challenge but wanted to mention a couple things!

My appt went OK but she was not happy with my BP (150/96) so she wants me to take a 25mg of Lisinopril. I'm not happy with another pill! I told her I wouldn't take it if it is too expensive. She said call her if it is and she'll look for a better med. And she thinks the pain in my arm is coming from my rotator cuff so she is sending me for PT. I was OK with the new dr but she is not very personal so I didn't get any warm fuzzies!

Also, June 17th was my father's Heavenly 100th Birthday. I know he was celebrating big time with my mom as Birthdays were4 always important to him.

MINI CHALLENGE FOR WEEK SEVEN

Repeat Positive Affirmations Daily

Guidelines:

Each day, speak into existence the things that you want to be real in your life. (i.e., "I have a slim and attractive body," "I weigh 150 pounds (or whatever your goal is)," "I eat delicious, nutritious foods that make my body strong and lean." You can keep the same ones for the whole week, or make new ones each day. This works best if you do it first thing in the morning and look yourself in the eye in your mirror.

Congratulations Carol

TC great you can go camping, no camping allowed yet in the UK, also no eating out (which is fine for us). Really hoping we can get away in July either to Switzerland or at least somewhere in England-it's wait and see what they say...

I went for a slow run today, luckily it's cooler (we've had some rain). Managed to complete 4.6 miles which I'm pleased about-might try for the sprint distance duathlon in July rather than the shorter one.

Not sure what my weight will do tomorrow, Just hoping I'm not up.
