We've walked this evening, just over 4 miles (1hr 10mins). It's quite cold out (considering it's May).
I worked this morning and had a zoom get together with Church friends this afternoon (a weekly event).

TC hope you feel better soon

Morning to all!

Time has gotten away from me sine Saturday. i have been busy in more ways than one! Oh well!

Home today..Greg went in...but we both go in tomorrow and will do dry cleaning. Thursday we will do shirts. One we are done..he leaves and that is fine. Friday...if we don't run..he will drop me off and come back later.

Thankfully we are starting to see ppl. A friend did a video for us and posted it all over. many did not realize we were open...and yes..we can be. So hope this helps.

Decided that once things get sort of back...we are going to sell. May take a couple of years..but it will be for the best in the end.

I have been working out ...Jillian Michaels Body Revelution . I do walk...if not outside when not at work..then in my basement. My garmin is weird. It doesn't seem to track when I am in the basement. I think...the GPS doesn't register it for some reason. Yet...still walk...for I know I am.

I am so impressed with how everyone here is doing!

My other focus....is trying to stay away from processed foods. That can be tricky for me. I use to eat that way...but then again...I use to do a lot of heatlhy tthings and got away from it.

I have a zoom meeting soon...one of my favorites! I try to attend the same 4 per week. Took awhile..but these four fit me!

Wishing all a good one!

Morning!
I have exercised the last two days - missed on Saturday! It helps me sleep better I'm noticing.

Today the sun is out and the temps will be in the 60's so we are starting a warm up over the next few days. Perhaps we will get up to normal temps for May!

Norm is already hard at work on my new cabinets. The wall is torn out and today he is beginning to build the cupboards. I forgot to take a before picture but this is an after demo pic.

I normally don't care for the treadmill but for some reason I have missed mine this week for the first since I sold it. I have a nice exercise room here that I can go to whenever I want. It's only 3 blocks away but I don't ever seem to go used the equipment. Perhaps I'll try!

Carol - Norm is a relatively tidy worker (only one area at a time) so we actually should be able to continue using the kitchen.

Eggs have been in short supply so Saturday I was pleased to pick up an extra dozen eggs and made deviled eggs to take for dinner yesterday along with my macaroni salad. They went over big time and I only brought a couple home which Norm scarfed down at lunch.

Sharon, when hubby is remodeling the kitchen, will you have less access to food? emoticon Or more trips for takeout emoticon

I was very good yesterday. I'll have hard boiled eggs and an orange for lunch. We need more eggs; anybody else here on egg limits? emoticon emoticon

Good morning!!

Sharon you were really lucky to see everyone!! We're not going to NY in the end of the month and probably won't go until September.

I sure hope we get to go then.

I got my exercise in and I've even been doing some cleaning.

Have a great day.

LG - it was a very special day yesterday. Roni moved in December and it's the first I have seen their new home. We haven't seen any of the grandkids in 8 months since last Sept! So we enjoyed catching up on all their news. I sure hope we can all see our families soon! Roni lives out in the country now on 10 acres and they have been home since March. She is very careful of Tucker because of his problem with his facial glands, the doctor warned her he is immunocompromised so he falls in the underlying medical conditions category. So we were good with social distancing (no hugs or kisses)

Well, Norm started tearing our kitchen apart this morning. Demo day!! Our life is going to be chaos for the next few weeks! This challenge will hopefully help me from emotional eating as I am a nervous wreck when he's in this mode. I don't know why as I am usually happy with the end result. I just have trouble visualizing the end results.

I'm off to have a good day - I hope you all do too!

Got my exercise (partly) done. Need to do some laundry and then sew. Working on a quilt with some 1Ē pieces! Tedious work but I can chain sew them. So going faster than I thought. Got 2 tops back from the quilter & need to bind them.

Tomorrow is back to work. We are on limited hours & Iím ok with that.

TC, how are you feeling? Iím hoping much better.

Sharon, Iím envious that you got to see your DD & grandkids. We havenít seen ours since January.

Happy mothers day (late sorry), ours is back in March (usually, it's always mid lent).
I walked on Saturday and did ST on Sunday (plus we are painting a room).
Getting ready to work, delivering a course online today which I have only done face to face, it's going to feel very different and I've no idea how long any of the activities will take!

Well, I can't begin to compete with some of your exercise but after sitting most of the day at Roni's, I came home and popped in a WATP dvd and got my 20 minutes of exercise in.

Roni has a beautiful home and all the grandkids stopped in so we got to visit with all of them! I had a nice reasonable dinner and stayed within range so it was a good day all around!

Nice job Judy ! I can do bike with no tension and super slow so i do not get short of breath.
Pat, i should not have said hate the treadmill/bike. I do not mind them if it is all i have. I just really prefer being outside. The year we did OK with Brenda & Eileen was very hot and very muggy but we got out every morning to get exercise out of the way. I really feel fatigued super fast right now.

Although we do not have Individual Teams for this Challenge, I want us all to be one Team fighting against the Overeating Monster that dwells within each of us.

I am pleased that everyone has recorded their starting weights. Without me even having to send out Gentle Reminders!

We are excited that some of our Significant Others have decided to join us. We wish you lots of success in the next 8 wks! Let's all lose some weight!

So thus begins our 1st Week. Looking forward to seeing how the week goes for all of us.

I hate the treadmill and the bike. I would much rather be out in nature.It is very handy though when it's raining and nasty outside.I am proof the egg diet works. I am down another 1.3 lbs in 1 day.It is only because I cannot eat anything but half an egg twice a day and a lot of sips of water because of my nausea. Covid is great for weight loss. Too bad I know from experience that as soon as I start eating again all that way it's gonna probably pile back on.

Alex & I both had a good day despite the wet/cold/SNOW! emoticon

PS....even me... I am tired of the snow! emoticon

Alex did his usual hour & a half on the treadmill ( clocking in 11,114 steps )
I have been housecleaning like mad during the week but usually take a break on the weekends. So had to walk on the treadmill to get my 20 mins of exercise done for today. LOL
Did about 27 minutes total. Will be happier when I can walk outside though.

Boy, I didn't realize how much I was snacking until today! Every time I turn around I want to reach for a piece of candy or something. So far, today is going well but I did sit down and eat an apple just now for an afternoon snack.

Going to my DD for Mother's Day tomorrow. I am glad that it is early in the week as there will be lots of good food. I am bringing deviled eggs and macaroni salad. It will be difficult not to overeat but easier than LC/HF.

Good luck to everyone. Just waiting for a couple more starting weights.

Sheesh. My lowest weight in the past 28 years was 189.00. I've been hovering between 195 and 200 for years. emoticon

Sharon, your Norm sounds like he's built like my Bob. Does he have "Popeye" arms from all the building, etc., he's done? Bob's work involved his forearms so much - hammering, drilling, wrenching, etc.

My plan for exercise this week is my yoga, at least on M,W,F, and maybe T and Th. I need to get some walking in; some? how about lots! And I think I'll break down and buy a veggie tray to I won't have the excuse of too much time in all that slicing and dicing.

Thanks again, Sharon, for doing this.

Heather - Everyone will know how Mike or anyone else that doesn't share their weight is doing by our Weekly Summary. I am OK with Mike texting me his weight. I am more flexable with the men just because it's a little experimental to see how it adds to our challenge.

I heard Norm weigh when he got up this morning, didn't even have to remind him. For a man, I don't think he weighs so much but his arms and legs are almost skinny so all is weight is carried in his belly (what we used to call a beer belly). I would be so happy to weigh what he does but it is too much for him.

I weighed in myself and wasn't happy. Of course, I ate heavier yesterday as our friends came to visit and we ordered lunch from a local restaurant which the guys went and picked up. It was really good but more than I normally eat. My weight should drop this week but I won't have the normal big drop as I am not eating LC/HF. I don't like how I binge eat when I go off it.

TC.......Alex was fine this morning giving me his weight. So I have put it on his template. Mike could have a template & do like WG.....just put DONE for today and the next WI,'s he just tells you what amount he lost.
That way ( tell HIM... emoticon ) he becomes more a part of the Challenge & then ALL of us can see how he is doing~~~NOT just Sharon emoticon emoticon

I am sorry to say i still feel awful. Headache non stop, nausea worse today, fever 100.5 which is not horrible but every joint i have is killin me. I used to think i was tough. Now i wonder if i have meningitis. Sometimes being a nurse is worse than not... Lol ! Heather, tell alex to send sharon his wt over messenger on facebook or text msg if he does not want you to know wt. That is what mike said he will do. I am not going to put a template in for him bc he does not want me seeing his wt... Lol !

Good Morning Challenge Team!

Mary.....that is SO funny about Greg. Alex still in bed & not weighed yet. I will use your * Greg * line if Alex says anything about backing out emoticon
Alex's thing will be to not want to tell me what he weighed!

emoticon Tessa. You are doing great! emoticon

Well I up 27.6 lbs over my lowest weight last year as we start this Challenge. BUT we started last Sat to eat good and emoticon THE JUNK FOODS! And this morning I am down 2.8 from last week.
So hopefully I am back on track & this Challenge will keep me from heading back into the 200's again!
~~~~~~~~~~~
Alex up & weighed in! No arguements! emoticon He is down 1.4 from last week but still up 26.3 from his lowest weight. emoticon
So both of us have some work to do during this Challenge! emoticon
I did too. Sad thing...I am up since I last weighed on Wed am Not sure how or why..but now..I have to really go forth.
Okay...wishing all a good day. Today is ....a new focus....today...not yesterday.
I've weighed in and I'm down 1.2 this week. Hoping this challenge will keep me on track.
We've been walking 2-3 miles most evenings or exercising during the day. The week ahead looks more tricky-I've got a number of sessions to deliver (online) which take a lot of planning because it's all new.
It's my youngest's birthday today, celebrating on Zoom this evening with our weekly family get together.
Okay...
I got Greg to come on board too. he was reluctant. I told him other men were too. He will not join sparks..so I will keep track for him. He was worried how he would look and I told him no one cared. Heather and Alex has seen him and no shock there! I know he has gained even more so..and no fingers there...for I have too. This...has been bad for us all as a whole and we have to go on...with something to focus on...OURSELVES. So..there you go!
THANK YOU SHARON!
Amen to that sharon. Mike says he will join also. He will send his weight to you in messenger. I am starting out with an advantage and disadvantage...lol ! Being ill, i have lost 10 lbs in 3 days. Still fevers 101.5 today but slowly starting to feel a small amt better. Joints still ache, dizzy if i stand or move too fast. Nausea meds helping. Tolerated my eggs for breakfast so far.
