Ruthann, don't worry. That's why I called in the big guns, lol. I'm glad
Sharon was able to get you here. Have your scones this morning and take Cha Cha for a walk. You'll do great. I have faith in you.

I don't have a specific go to plan, probably why I haven't lost any more than I have. I have yogurt with my Vi shake mix for breakfast every morning, and that has been working well for me. I'm planning on bringing a jar of peanut butter to my office for my evening meal. I'll have it with the Vi mix in it. Makes a yummy, filling, light meal. If I'm really hungry I might add a couple of crackers or something with it, but usually it'll do the trick all by itself. My biggest issue lately has been my late dinners. I think if I quit grabbing something on the way home or eating something when I get home, it'll make a big difference.

Don't forget your water everyone. emoticon

Ruthann - you can do anything you make up your mind to do! I hope you make the decision (after the scone) to behave and lose in this challenge! We all want to arrive in Custer, proud of our part in the challenge.

When I am VERY serious about dropping some weight, I go back to the tried and true low carb approach. I start every morning with eggs, veggies and cheese. Then if I eat any carbs at all, I eat them at lunch. It usually works and you can bet I got my eggs ready for in the morning!

This morning I ate an Eggo Low Fat Nutrigrain Blueberry waffle to get them gone before I'm tempted during the challenge. In fact, I ate two waffles - bad girl!

Hi, friends!


Is everyone getting ready to emoticon I always enjoy our RV Enthusiast challenges!


PJ, good idea about that soup! Does anyone else have an "go to" ideas that they use when they are watching more carefully than usual? I go through my steel cut oatmeal breakfasts for weeks/months, then I did toast/peanut butter for weeks, then I just changed to honey nut Cheerios...I do really miss my steel cut oatmeal and may start having it for dinner....By having a smaller breakfast, I was able to have larger lunches/suppers which seemed to agree with me at the time I started doing so. I will have to go back to the larger breakfast at least on days that I work, as the smaller one won't "last" me until my lunch break.

I wrote down Sharon's directions and I really impressed myself. Good try though...

OK Jacque this is it. darn I wanted some scones Saturday. Maybe I will get them tomorrow it they are open. They are sooooo good.

OK I found you guys....Now to the next part of getting a template?

I think this means that every Saturday we will have to weigh in. Right?
I did bring my scales with me in the MH but will be confusing to track when we get back home next week. Ha. It don't mater I guess.

I am so ready for this challenge. I am making a pot of veggie soup with all the leftovers I could find and some dried beans. Lunches next week will be ready. Healthy and hot and filling.

Now to start tracking everything and get to cracking on an exercise plan. Speaking of which I think I will walk out to check the mail. We have a long driveway.

Just something I was thinking about - have you all checked your nutrition/activity info to see if it reflects what you are currently doing or planning to do for the challenge? It had been a while since I had changed mine to reflect a change in activity - no wonder I have been so lethargic for weeks! Just a suggestion to check...

Heather - in the past we did WI whatever day you wanted but it became a nightmare for me, making sure everyone reported when they were supposed to and it made record reporting more trouble. I want to try Sat WI's this challenge and see if it helps me and Tammy.

So if you chose to WI once a week like Mary does or if you want to WI on Saturdays', I'll never know. Just as long as you fill your WI template in on Saturdays.

Next Saturday is the beginning of our challenge! It is also our day to weigh in and get our Starting Weight. I will not setting any goal or percentage of what you need to lose but I have divided us in to three teams and we will compete among ourselves to see which team loses the most weight. We'll also have a biggest loser (by percentage of weight lost) for each team. AND, we will announce Queen of the Challenge as well, based on weight loss and bonus points earned. I will be giving our weekly report by the end of Sunday each week.

I did not assign Team Names but I am letting you know early enough that you can discuss it among your team and come up with your own team name. Be imaginative and creative. In past challenges we have chosen team colors and even changed our Profile Pic to indicate which team we are on so everyone can tell when we post.

In this challenge we will forget everything we've been doing up to now and start over. We will go back to Spark People basics. Each week we will be adding a new tool to help with our weight loss journey. I am sure it will work with whatever diet you are following.

I will also be posting a Weigh In Template that I would like you to copy and paste in this thread. Each week, you will go to your own post and click on edit your post. Then put your new weight in and your bonus pts. Simple to do and not too time consuming.

Before each week begins, I will let you know what you will be doing to earn Bonus Points for the week so watch for that each week.

I will start another thread with the Weigh In Templates and ask that you keep that thread for that only so Tammy and I will be able to get our info quickly and effortlessly. Any questions and general discussion before the challenge begins can be in this thread. Don't forget to contact your own team through Spark mail and decide on a Team Name. Let me know when you have come up with something!
