Sharon-we will be back early August (first weekend), but please include me.

Each month I aim for 1000 fitness minutes-for me that's strength training, pilates class, run or cycle (as fast as I can!) but I'm still averaging 1000 per month (just!).

Good morning girls. I've been out to breakfast then a walk around the flea market and then a walk around Walmart. Robby is out at the swamp and I won't go over until later this afternoon. I'm home right now, getting ready to go out and wash my car. I got a new waterless car wash that is really great. It's a Dual Polymer that helps to clean and protect your vehicle. It can be used on all kinds of things. Really neat stuff. If any of you, or your spouses, are interested in it you can look at the website www.dualpolymer.com. It'll ask you for the user name of the person who sent you. Put in slick.
Once I get that done I may head out to the swamp, but might stop by Academy and look at shoes. I think I'm going to need a new pair soon.

Have good Sunday all.

Tammy - It sounds like the perfect Sunday! I think we'll go see a movie. We were looking forward to The Heat as we really like both of the lead stars but after watching them on the talk shows, I'm not sure we're as excited. They say it is just loaded with the F word!!! I don't need to hear that to be entertained so we have decided to go to the new Superman movie instead.

I've got my first 10 minute walk in - only two more to go today!

Tessa - the challenge probably won't start until end of July or beginning of August. If you're going to be gone then let me know and I'll get you in the challenge in your absence.

I have at least ended the month a couple of pounds down and feeling more positive about the weeks ahead. I've appreciated the encouragement through some difficult months, I could easily have gained more than I have.
Sharon I may well be away (without internet) when you set up a team challenge but would like to be part of it.

I am involved with this 5% Challenge I'm in for a couple more weeks. Then I will be organizing a challenge for this team. It probably won't start 'til the end of July as it takes time to notify the team and wait to see who responds. So for the month of July, we will continue to set our own goals and I'll start a new thread for us to report on like we have the past couple of months.

I do believe the team needed a break from an organized challenge but I also think it's time to get us all working hard again on teams. That works the best!

WELL Done Sharon, If you own it and it was a good decision it is acceptable on special occasions other wise it can become restrictive. We are in this for the long haul. We are not trying to get in to a dress or pants just because the desire is there. We are creating a healthier lifestyle. Sharon you did well with your challenge.
I actually did lose weight after a very long plateau, I was certain the scale would not budge but knowing someone else was encouraging me it made it easier to be accountable.

Thanks will there be a July challenge or will you all be too busy. Pat in Maine.

My downfall is anything crunchy and salty. I'm not a big sweet eater and even when watching what I eat, I can satisfy my sweet tooth but I never seem to satisfy my want of chips and such.

I ate OK at the Bridal Shower Brunch today but I still probably ate enough calories for the entire day! My weight was up after our time in Shipshewana but I worked really hard and managed to weigh the same this morning as I did last Saturday. I am back down to my low point on the scale since returning to MI. I have to struggle every day! But I don't think I'm alone in my struggle. That's why you girls are such a big help. I appreciate your support and encouragement.

Forgetting to eat...I do not think I have EVER been guilty of that! emoticon

One think that I have had to LEARN to do is to slow down sometimes. It is very hard for me to just SIT, but I have found that crocheting, which is repetitive, will help me to just sit - yes, I know that I am not JUST SITTING, but you know what I mean.

Our weather is 20 degrees cooler than it had been, and I have enjoyed walking today after we drove over to Sis' cafe for breakfast - too many calories/fats/etc, but I don't stress about that since it had been early May since we had been over there. And they had other things on the menu that I could have ordered, so I am owning my decision and not beating myself up over it. In the long run, I think it is a good thing to do that once in a while.

Pat, my favorites - I think I could eat chicken, fish, or beans for most meals. Cheddar is my favorite cheese, and while I will get 2%, I don't have problem using regular and reducing the amount if the whim strikes me. Veggies - I like most of them and like experimenting with the preparation of them; my DH is quite understanding of that, and will brag about my healthy preparations, but then he will look for his desserts as well. emoticon

Have a good afternoon, all, and go for choices that are better.

Pat, I'm very much like you. I have to be doing something. I can't just sit for any length of time. If I sit for very long I start to fidget. Robby laughs at me all the time for it. If I'm busy I can go with out food for hours also, but if I'm just sitting around I find myself reaching for anything. I'm not a huge sweet eater and don't keep many in the house, so I find myself reaching for salty crunchy things. I could eat my weight in chips and salsa.

Ruthann, yours won't be boredom, it'll be R&R, at least for a couple of days, lol. I'm glad you're about done with it all.

Well I have put on a few pounds and I need to get focused. Maybe next week when I get back to having a few days to myself. It looks like it may be pretty soon.

I didn't gain from boredom. But looking forward to a couple of days of it.

You all have that right, boredom is for some people REST and do nothing.
I totally cannot do or think about nothing. MY DH can just sit and relax. I have to have something to concentrate on. That is why I love Spark.
When I am outside I can go without food for hours at a time. I love to cook so I spend time planning our meals. When I get bored I am antsy and that is when I grab an apple or a pear. I was lucky to have to avoid candy for years so that does not get to me but anything like meat I can always eat. I love proteins the most.
PREFERENCES IN ORDER-
1. MEAT ROASTED
2, FRUITS.
3.VEGETABLES COOKED JUST RIGHT WITH REAL BUTTER-NEVER BUY IT THOUGH.
4. CHEESE BUT ONLY THE USUAL ONES CHEDDAR ETC NOT BRIE OR CAMAMBERT. BLUE--NOT FOR US.
5. HAS TO BE ENGLISH SCONES I BAKE MYSELF.

DRINKS ARE SO MUCH MORE DIFFICULT-ONLY HOT TEA, HOT EATER WITH LEMON OR COFFEE WITH CREAM.
Maybe you can think about your list HUGS to all Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon

I can remember when I used to forget to eat. Now I don't know why I eat half the time, boredom would be my guess. I need to find other outlets for it. I am getting better though. I am having a nice healthy breakfast every morning. Now to get the other meals to match, lol. Baby steps.

Pat - you're so right! My DH would forget to eat if I didn't remind him. He has always said, he eats to live while I live to eat! And I think he's hit the nail on the head 'cause I eat when I'm bored, stressed, tired, hungry, sad, happy and, and, and. In other words, I am an Emotional Eater hoping to keep myself under control. I go for so long and then I go on a binge. Hoping that doesn't happen!

SHARON, I am sure he will.
He is a domesticated dog he lives in the human world.
I have never seen a fat wolf on the TV or in a preserve. Wild creatures are usually thin. They eat to live. We use it for comfort, entertainment and satisfaction. All things we love so it is easy to eat to excess. We used to find comfort in just gathering together to talk but that becomes a party so we eat drink and be merry. NO wonder we are having such a difficult journey. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon

The toe is doing better but still not doing any extra walking. My weight has definitely dropped but I'm not down to my pretrip weight! I'm be extra good again today and hope for the best for my weigh in tomorrow!

Ruthann - you will be so relieved to get this whole rental debacle behind you! And then I hope you and Larry can take off in your MH for a few days.

Tessa - if eating better helped you drop a couple pounds, it will only get better if you eat well and exercise. You're doing great, keep the weight coming down!

I agree with both Pat and Jacque - we live in a country of excess. Every where you turn is food, food and more food. It's difficult to believe so many are starving both in our country and other countries. But Pat, our beagle would eat until it's stomach bursts, I'm pretty sure!

Good morning:
Yup it is way too early to be up but to just lay there is too strenuous to my brain. I really could use a day off for myself. HA not for awhile.
Lack of sleep don't help the weight loss so I am up a pound. Maybe next week I can get some ME time. ?????

Sharon: The pain from a toe is not fun. If it still bothers you in another week I would have it looked at. Feet are something that should never be ignored.

Well I have been getting exercise and I bet cleaning out the last of my project rentals that I will be exercised out.

The papers actually get filed today and this is the first time that I realize that it is going to be OK. I really could use a day off for myself. HA not for awhile.
They are suppose to be out of there Monday. I need to leave the yard clean and home Lock it up put up a sign NO TRESPASSING there is a place I can put a chain across the yard and that should be it. Just the waiting to get the darn place out of my name and then when it is all over. They say it takes 60-90 days. The sooner the better.

Well that is my story....and I am sticking to it . Ha ha...

I've not managed any exercise for the last 2 days which is very poor-must make sure I do so this evening (much prefer mornings but it just hasn't been possible).
My sensible eating has paid off though and I think a couple of unwanted pounds have gone, hoping they stay away and I can stay on track.

Pat, you stated that very well. We do live in a country of excess. I was taught good nutrition when I was young and tried to pass it on to my children. My excesses have come since I've gotten older and I've gotten lazy about my eating. Having a DH who 'dieted' for better than 20 years to keep his weight down, so now refuses to diet in any way makes it more difficult for me, but that is no excuse. I could make better choices, but don't usually.
I'm glad you are on a path that works for you. I will find mine.

Sharon, I'm sorry to hear about the toe. Try soaking it in some warm epsom salts. That should help to reduce the pain and swelling, if there is any. I hope it feels better soon.

I haven't gotten much movement in today. I'm down from even my normal for a day. I've been in front of this computer for way too long. I need to get up and move around. I still have a couple more races I need to stay through and then I'm done for the day. I hope you all have a good evening.

I think our diet is our way of life. Good or poor, it is what we eat and many of us have such abundance of food we sometimes live to eat instead of eating to stay healthy.
Wild animals actually TEACH their offspring what to eat and when to leave it behind.
You will see obese domesticated pets but there is no obesity in the wild. If animals fatten up they do it on purpose when they know there will be no food for them for a long time.

We are not so lucky. As a child in England we were taught good nutrition in our school and we never were served seconds. The leftovers went to feed the animals.
I tried hard to teach our kids nutrition but once we came here DH and I followed our friends example and happily for me my Dr was a Scotsman and he reminded me about the excesses the US had at that time. DH and I stopped with the soda. DH lost weight easily but not I we are doing very well these days with Spark and Spark friends.
We can do it . No excuses and never quit your healthy lifestyle Pat in Maine.

I didn't think I ate badly with the exception of our pot luck while I was gone. However, my weight is up because of all the eating in restaurants. That darn sodium issue again. I'm pushing the water big time today and hoping by Saturday AM I can redeem myself and still have a loss this week. However, I walked so much on Tuesday that I re-injured the toe I broke a couple weeks ago so I am not able to walk for a few days. In fact, I am barely hobbling on it. It has throbbed so badly the last couple of nights, I didn't sleep well. I don't remember stepping wrong or feeling bad during the time we were walking and shopping but I'm paying dearly for our good time now!

Sharon, yes that is exactly what 'diet' means. So many people look at it as a temporary thing and it is a lifelong way of life. I'm glad you have the right meaning in your head, it makes things much easier. I'm sure that now you are back home those lbs will start rolling off again.

I had a very long day at the eye Drs. office and measuring for new lenses for my glasses.
Yesterday I cooked a cauliflower and got it ready to make the Cauliflower pizza crust. DH nad I really like them. This time no parchment paper and HOT oven and allow it to stand a wh ile. As it cools it sets up like the real deal. Eat it from the tip of the point, Great pizza. We had lots of vegetables and it was very good for us. Pat in Maine.
This mooring I saw 171.8 pounds on my scale.

NOW!! I have to take prednisone and it makes you gain weight and makes blood sugar higher. Some days there are few breaks HUGS Pat emoticon emoticon

day 3 of tracking and staying within calorie range.. No exercise today, I needed a rest day, should run tomorrow.

My 'diet' consists of eating family meals (low fat because of my husbands cholesterol) in sensible portions, no pudding (sadly). no snacks or cake unless I have spare calories at the end of the day.

I'm also trying to go to bed before midnight (I find this a challenge not because I have things to do but because I find it hard to move myself off the sofa & away from my computer-not good).

Tammy - good job on losing!

I don't think I did too bad eating wise while we were gone, even though our meals were all eating out. The pot luck was bad - no way around it. But one meal in the week won't kill me.

Jacque - if you look the word diet up, it means your way of eating. I don't think of myself on a severe diet but I did mean it was pushing my new way of eating with healthier choices. I've tried all the fad diets and I know they just don't work! The good news is I'm home and can get right back to losing (hopefully!)

Hi, ladies!

Tessa, thanks for joining me! emoticon emoticon There we go!

I lost just under a pound this week on my challenge that I am in; I was happy that it was something, since I have been dealing with some kind of gastric thing for a few days. I had reset my tracker a week? two weeks? ago to reflect what I wanted to do as far as my BLC22 challenge was concerned, and that was indeed just right at what I should have lost. For the long term, it is best for me to be very moderate. Not that I wouldn't have minded to have lost more! emoticon

I made chicken salad for lunch, and will have some pork chops in the crockpot for dinner along with baked potatoes that I am going to prepare in my little NuWave oven.

Have a good day!

Tessa, good job on the biking plans. I'm not a biker. I don't like the seats, or they don't like me.
I do like to walk, just not alone.

Tammy, I'm about to join you on a bike ride. It's a bit cooler here than where you are I think, so I'm aiming for 20 miles...maybe, lets see how I get on.
I've dropped my daughter at the airport, she's certainly going to a warmer place!
Tracked my food too..

Tammy, have fun on your bike ride. Our heat index sounds about the same as yours. We had a breeze yesterday though, so it wasn't too bad. Thanks for the tracking reminder. I need to get on and track my breakfast.

Sharon, good job on making wise choices. You made one statement in there that is one I try not to make and not to think. It's not a diet, it's a new lifestyle and pattern of eating. Making healthier choices. You are making very good choices these days. Stick with it.

Motivation and determination are so valuable in food choices. Food choices for me are more important than most other choices I make in my day.
It is great that people can go out and enjoy themselves with healthy food. No longer is the desert the only SWEET item on the menu. it is great when you can be satisfied eating other choices and enjoying them.
SHARON you are so motivated right now and you are enjoying the results, you are doing great by encompassing the healthier lifestyle. SELF improvement is very well said. Thanks for the self improvement June challenge.

We all met at the Blue Gate restaurant this evening. They are famous for their Amish cooking. I am proud to say most of the women ordered a grilled chicken breast. So I made it through day one without blowing my diet! Tomorrow's pot luck may be a different story!

Tessa, good job on the tracking. I know that is a big downfall of mine too. I have just not gotten it to be a routine yet.

Pat, glad you made it back to us. We have missed you. It's so easy for us to get messed up on different threads. Good job on finding a liquid that you can drink and that it is helping you with your goal. I hope hubby gets to feeling better soon. The gazelle should be a good type of movement for him.

Tammy, good job on getting the bike ride in. It's starting to really get humid here too. It's starting to get warm as well. I think we got up in the upper 80s today. I hope you are able to keep up with the biking and walking. I remember when you first started and it was a big challenge for you to walk. You have done great with the exercise and your tracking. You continue to be an inspiration to us all.

I was out and about today. Didn't manage to get a massage, but did get a wonderful pedicure. Got to Target, and Walmart and got some walking in while there. Went to lunch with my friend after our pedis. Had beans in the crockpot for dinner tonight, so that helped to make up for the lunch. Had a good breakfast as well. Haven't gotten in enough water yet, but will before the night is over.

So sorry I have been missing in action, somehow I thought this was a message board that we use a while ago on the Maine team so I had a clean out so sorry I wiped you all out.
I was just getting to know who was who. This old lady is getting confused with all of the names of real people and Identity names.
TAMMY, I am so glad your bike riding is good. DH tried to ride his bike and of course with the cross bar on a man's bike he did not think and he swung his hip-YES the replacement one over the seat, dropped the bike and I could tell he was in great pain. I picked up the bike and he hobbled in to the house. He is not walking but we do have the Gazelle so he is trying to keep moving. He did not want to drive down to see the surgeon and we are sure it is getting better. We are trying to get the house in order, the yard is looking good.
We are just getting local produce now. The strawberries are amazing.
SHARON, I am actually losing little by little after all this time. I can not drink water so I decided to find a go to drink, nothing artificial and nothing cold either. I found very weak coffee with 1 tablespoon 1/2 and 1/2 fits the b ill. It gives me2 16 ounce cups of this weak brew that I actually like so I have been getting well over 64 ounces of FLUID daily and it is working. I might eventually get to goal #1 to be over weight instead of obese.
RUTHANN, how is your son doing now. You sure have a lot of things going on it all sounds like it is good for you. I hope so I do not know the whole story. I just hope it is all going well for you, and enjoying your summer.HUGS Pat in Maine.
Now I hope I can remember to check the box to keep me there. Pat in Maine.
This week I have made several Spark recipes. Yesterday I made a Rosemary Onion potato Frittata. We both enjoyed it we had 1/2 each and DH had bacon I had chicken. We both had greens salad. I used just one egg yolk so I had to work out all of the Nutritional values for the way I had made it. It is another keeper and the Frittata was made in a skillet, so easy for campground eating too. Pat in Maine.

Tessa, are you going to Italy when DD is there, she will be able to show you around. Enjoy the planning, HUGS Pat in Maine.
Sorry I lost you all, I hope I have covered as much as I could remember. emoticon emoticon

Tessa, it sounds like you have begun tracking again, so that's good! I have some crafts that I do instead of eating SOME TIMES; I had a couple of months myself late last year when I did some major damage to all my hard work.

I made a cabbage dish at lunch that I hadn't made since last summer; it was good, not fabulous, but good. We also had stuffed peppers that I had frozen earlier this summer. We are eating out of the big freezer again so that I can defrost it. I would like to have one that doesn't require that, but that isn't happening soon.

I biked this morning and then did a bit of a walk prior to it getting so very warm. I changed my tracker to reflect my exercise; it is just a personal goal right now, and those of you who have known me for awhile know that I originally could hardly walk to the end of the street and it was really hard for me to foresee being to walk for 20 - 30 minutes.

Have a good day!

I desperately need to lose.. I have gradually gained then recently the gain has been steeper.. From my lowest point (just got to healthy BMI) I've gained nearly 30 pounds, I'd like to see at least 20 of these go.
Yes we are active but I eat.. especially when I'm finding life difficult which it was been over the last couple of months-I really need a better coping strategy!

Last week was busy, this week looks better though there's quite a lot I need to do.
I'm lacking enthusiasm today but I'm booked into pilates this afternoon so I'll have to get moving for that!
My youngest goes off to Italy for 7 weeks tomorrow where she'll be looking after 3 boys (holiday job), she's excited about it so that's good.
Realising there's quite a lot to do before we go away in 3 weeks time, including some more tidy/sorting-I need to clear the cot before our DD & GD come to stay (she's doing a triathlon with DS).
I think I might achieve some tracking this week-that would be good!

Tammy, I totally agree. If you are really wanting something you should go ahead and have it. If you don't you're going to overeat trying to compensate.

Sharon, good job on all the exercise. Have fun in Shipse.

We went for a drive this morning after breakfast. First we went and walked around Academy, then out to the levee. Just a nice quiet day for us.

I got lots of exercise today running in and out of the MH. I worked in the kitchen for three hours and was so ready to sit down for a while. But, I got a huge bowl of potato salad to share in Shipshe and I'm also bring Crock Pot Baked Beans. Today the weather was great. I only hope it holds out.

Tammy - I know what you mean about the sidewalks on a bike. I'm the same way. I think it's because we know we only have small room for errors. I especially get nervous when someone is walking at me on a sidewalk. There is plenty of room but it scares me just the same!

Hi, friends! It may be hot here in SW Missouri, but I did manage to bike for a nice time this morning before it got so warm. I forced myself to ride on stretch of sidewalk just to overcome my fear of it. I am not sure just what the deal is there. It is next to a busier city street than right around in my neighborhood, where I ride on the side of the paved street. Anyway, I will ride on that stretch of sidewalk a few more times and perhaps get used to whatever it is that is causing me concern.

SS, a pound is good! That's too bad about Wendy's and incomplete info. That really surprises me.

Jacque, I think it is good to have things like bacon cheeseburgers occasionally. I have found it is better for me just to go ahead and have that type of thing if I am thinking about it.

Sharon, you're doing great. Keep it up. I agree about them needing to add the fiber and protein counts. I think they are still on the thought process that it's only the fat and calories that matter to anyone. You might try sending them an email. They usually have a website or something on the receipt or nutrition page. Maybe if enough people suggest it they will add it.

Tammy, it sounds like you had a very nice lunch at the french restaurant. Good choices.

I haven't gotten much exercise in this week. I get about 2 miles a day in steps in in my office each day, but that's been about it. I know I'm way out of my calorie range for today, even though I haven't logged anything. We went to Chilis for lunch and I had a bacon cheeseburger and I know that the calorie count on them is way up there. I didn't eat the whole thing and I only ate a few of the fries, but I know I'm up there. I haven't had any dinner yet and only had my yogurt/vi for breakfast. Lots of water in. I need to sit down and do an evaluation of what I need to do and plan out next month before my scale goes all the way back up to where I started from.

I lost 1 more lb at my WI this morning! I was hoping for more (aren't we always!) but I am happy that I have a loss every week since we returned to MI. I've got quite a streak going.

We were out doing errands at lunch time today and stopped at Wendy's. I ordered the Berry Almond Salad w/grilled chicken that has been advertised on TV. It was delicious but I only used 1 pkt of the almonds and 1 pkt of dressing. Normally, fast food places are good with their nutrition facts but I'm quite disappointed. I could figure exactly what I ate with the nutrition they gave but can you believe they don't include protein or fiber in their list! I know darn well with all the blueberries and strawberries that there was fiber and a nice piece of chicken had to contain protein! That just isn't right in my book!

The French restaurant was great - I had seafood croustad, which was salmon, shrimp, and scallops in a white wine sauce in a small breadbowl. It was very tasty. There were also some nice mixed vegetables [zucchini, yellow squash, red peppers, onions] and just a few pieces of potatoes. It wasn't heavy at all, which surprised me. I am sure there were sodium issues, but I hadn't been "out" in a while, so I won't worry about it.

I walked for a shorter time than usual this morning; I didn't get to it until later than usual, and by that time the heat and humidity had set in. I am going to call that it for the day, regardless. I haven't had a rest day in quite some time, and I need to consciously do that for several reasons.

Have a good day!

Good afternoon all. It looks like y'all have been busy on here.

Ruthann, I'm glad the biggest hurdles are behind you now. You can start to relax a little and be happy about that weight coming back off. I hope it all continues to run smoothly.

Sharon, all we can do is make the best choices with what it available and it sounds like you did a good job of it.

Tammy, I hope you enjoy the French restaurant, but as Sharon said, many pitfalls there. The french like lots of creamy sauces on their dishes. I know you'll make the best choices possible and enjoy youself.

We went to a new, to us, restaurant today for lunch. I chose grilled fish, but I don't know that it was much better in the choice than the fried would've been, it was swimming in what I think was butter. I don't know that we'll go back, but it was ok. A long drive for us for lunch, but we didn't really have anything that needed to be done, so it was no problem. Robby stopped and bought yogurt on the way home last night, so I was able to have my yogurt with my Vi mix for breakfast this morning, so that will help to make up for the lunch.
I'm still not getting the exercise I need to in. I'm going to have to figure out a different routine. I need to think on it just a bit. Looks like I'll have to make that my challenge for July if we don't have a specific one.

Ruthann - it sounds like you are making progress on your stressful situation. I hope your friends make a reasonable offer you are happy with. Whatever the offer, it appears you accepted it and it is almost a done deal. I can only imagine how tired you are, both physically and emotionally. The good news is your weight is coming back down and you can see the light at the end of the tunnel (if you look hard)

Tammy - a French restaurant sounds like a food mine field. Be careful but enjoy a new experience!

I had a pretty high caloric day yesterday. I chose to split a turkey club sandwich with my friend for lunch. I opted for the green beans instead of french fries. I did OK calorie wise but sodium was high. Then the pot luck for dinner. There was an abundance of meat and pasta dishes with lots of cheese. Also lots of desserts but not anything low calorie like fruit or veggies. I took small amounts and ate what I could. Then I focused on meeting new people and talking (which I'm pretty good at, lol) All in all, I survived the day and today is a brand new slate!

Down 2 ....Which was a happy site.

Doing better. We ate at this new place that is called "Rockin Chocolates" She served salads, sandwiches and makes her own candy. She has some awesome stuff.
Went to a yard sale and then left for signing.

I forgot my pocket book at my GF. I am not surprised. I sat down and got Cha Cha in my lap when I got home and I had a few minutes t rest. OMG. I fell asleep and I am so glad I woke up because I was only 5 minutes late to me signing the paper work to get the show on the road. I have never been so tired. Well I was going to put gutters over the windows on this Mobil but the guy buying it said that he wanted to do it. That made me VERY HAPPY. I had the stuff but not the knowledge. Larry hut his thumb in Lorraine's ladder and it looks pretty sore.
My back and arms are done in but the dam yard is DONE!

That is a long day, Ruthann!

I am meeting my cousin today and we are traveling a bit out of town to visit a French restaurant. I have never been to a French restaurant before. I know they have quiche, but I have no idea what else might be on the menu. It will be a new experience!

I am going to try to get a bike ride in before that, and hopefully the dogs won't be loose in the neighborhood as they were yesterday. Summer school is done at the junior high across the street, so it would be easy to go over and walk on the track if I wanted.

Is anyone else enjoying the summer veggies? I have bought some tomatoes and zucchini that were yummy; I have blooms on my plants so hopefully I won't be buying them in a few weeks.

Well here I am a 10pm writing ....Long day.
I woke up at 3am and did all of the paperwork for my Deed of Liu which is a simple way of saying foreclosure. Mailed everything and they should get my paper work by Monday.
Met Lorraine out at the rental and we worked all afternoon and got all done. What a dam job that was. Tomorrow we will be at Lorraine's house to burn 32 bags of Briers. Whee...
Then off to a car cruise Whee...God I am tired thinking of all I have to do.
The renter will be out Saturday and I will be inside cleaning. I timed it just right for next week it will be raining most of the week. So inside cleaning should be done in NO time. Yeah!

Sharon: Lorraine has put on a few pounds but still looks great. I just want to get my life back to normal what ever that is. Ha ha Just getting rid of the rental is one big plus.

I met tonight with my girl friend and signed the first papers and will be going to the title company and it should be all final before the first. Wow fast or what....OK

Well now you know why it took so long to post....Ha...Going to bed....night!

Well, I made it to the gym this morning and got in 10 mins on the treadmill. As I suspected, I'm up from my trip. Now it's time to get back in control and get the lead out.
While my weight is up a little, I'm still shrinking, so I'm not as upset as I would be.

Sharon, have fun today and make the best choices possible. Get some exercise in, but make it light.

Ruthann, I hope your friend accepts your counter offer and you are able to get this business out of the way and start enjoying retirement.

Tessa, good job on the 10K and getting the exercise in. I hope you get the eating in control soon. If you figure it out let the rest of us know, lol. I think that is a lot of all of our problems.

Busy week with friends staying as they've rented their house out but need to be here for work!

Having done my 10K run on Sunday, I did pilates Monday then cycled 10 miles on Tuesday (to be kind to my knees). Yesterday turned into a rest day and not sure what I'll do today, I usually run but my friend isn't here today..
Eating is still rather out of control. I need to focus my energy & mind, it's relatively easy when it's going well but feels impossible at the moment.

Ruthann - I hope you can work out a price with your friend for the property. It would be such a load off your mind. How is Lorraine doing with her weight? Last summer she lost so much weight through WW's. I hope she's keeping it off. My DD is struggling. She seems to struggle with about 10 lbs up and down. It's a never ending battle for some of us.

Lots of food temptations today for me. We are eating lunch out and this evening we are having a community pot luck. Fun times but I have to continue to be good!

Good am:
OK, I am on the Doom side this morning. I need to stop eating with Lorraine every night. HA
We had Taco Salad but it was huge and I ate the whole thing. My friend made me an offer on my property and I made a counter offer. We will see where that takes me. I am hoping that she would cash me out. But that was NOT in the offer. Darn....I think it would just be nice to get rid of it as a rental and start living as a retired old person. Ha.

I'll try Tammy - today we are eating out for lunch and going to our Community's Pot Luck for dinner! Every day it's a challenge but I am forever optimistic that I'll win the battle!

I sure slept good last night after my water aerobics and walking. My legs are still tired but no pulled muscles!

Good evening all. The computers have been down here at work most of the day. Finally came back up just before 4 this afternoon. It looks like you girls have all been busy.
I had oatmeal with my Vi mix in it this morning. I was out of yogurt so decided on that.

Ruthann, good job on the scale moving back down again. I'm sure that once you get the property issues straightened out and back to line dancing your scale will move back down.

Tammy, sounds like you've got your eating back into a good rhythym. Keep up the good work.

Sharon, Chinese food is bad on the sodium front. Water water water. You're doing really good with your tracking though. I need to get back at it.

I haven't been to the gym this week yet, so haven't been on the scale to see what kind of damage I did on my trip. I didn't eat lots, just lots of sodium.
Well, here's to getting back on track. Have a good evening all.

emoticon Ruthann!

I was down a pound this morning, as well.

SS, I was thinking about how good your dinner sounded...and then you gave the sodium count! [It still sounds good, though!] Enjoy your water aerobics today!

DH wanted to go out to breakfast this morning; I did all right, not great, but all right. I will have a big salad for lunch and a bowl of some pretty decent cantaloupe and that will help. I just got back from some biking and some walking, but it was later than usual because we went out for breakfast. It is nice to have a change once in a while, though, so I will not complain about the heat of my bike and walk. [Maybe it burned more calories!]

Hi, Jacque! It sounds like you had a good time.

emoticon to everyone else and have a very good day!

Ruthann - congratulations on your scale going back down. When you get back to line dancing and get rid of all the stress, I think you'll be surprised to see your scale go back down.

For dinner last night, I warmed up some LaChoy Beef Pepper Oriental and served it over brown rice. The Pepper Oriental only had 80 calories per serving so I felt comfortable eating 1 1/2 servings. Then when I recorded it, my sodium count for the day was 3800!!! I haven't been that high in a very long time! One day won't kill me but it will be a long time before I buy that stuff again!

This morning is water aerobics and we finally have a nice sunny morning. Our first nice day since we started. There should be no excused or canceling today!
