I googled up pictures of bowls of fruit and shopped for the same things to go in my 2 quart bowl. Then I looked at every cracker for sale and chose 2 that I haven't tried before. Next, I bought a cultured cheese and a tea that looks promising. After giving myself a portion of each, I sat me down in my rocker, tossed a throw over my lap, opened my bird identification book, and spent a pleasant time relaxing.

The bread looks yummy!

Also -- the broccoli and spinach casserole sounds promising! I've never had that combo before and there's no reason it shouldn't taste very good together.

This recipe makes 4 loaves. Moravian Christmas Bread from America's Bread Book by Mary Gubser. The ingredients are milk, active dry yeast, 8 - 9 cups flour melted butter 3/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 cup currants, 1/2 cup chopped candied pineapple, 1/2 cup chopped candied lemon rind, 1/2 cup chopped candied orange rind, 1 egg beaten with 1 Tablespoon water for glaze, sliced almonds.

Well, Paula, that makes me hungry just reading it ! This is my lunch next week; Broccoli-spinach casserole. The broccoli was buy one get one free.
2(10 oz) packages frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
2 (10 oz) packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained (I drink the drained liquid)
2 (10 3/4 oz cans cream of mushroom soup
small can mushrooms
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 large sweet onion, diced
16 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup Dukes mayonnaise
1 tsp salt
1/2 pepper black
1/2 tsp garlic powder
36 crushed Ritz crackers

1. Sir together first 10 ingredients in large bowl until combined. Spoon into a lightly buttered 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with crushed crackers

2. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 - 45 minutes or until set.
Makes 12 - 16 servings

Love all the ideas! My lunch was one of my current favorites....a "greens" burrito with crumbled Boca burger.

Whole wheat tortilla, Muenster cheese slice, about a half cup well drained greens (turnip today) and a cut up cooked vegan Boca burger patty and green salsa. Very satisfying!

Our .99 cent store had the 4 packs of the Boca burgers lately so I bought a LOT and have been cooking up 4 at a time and using them like this. I saute them in a skillet with a little olive oil and sliced onions and mushrooms.

Our team image of a bowl of pistachio nuts leaped into my mind in the grocery when I passed the display of pistachios in bags. I brought some home and paired them with fresh avocado and Triscuits crackers with Brie cheese. My beverage was peach tea with real maple syrup.

Big sale on blueberries at local store. Made chia jam. go to www.thekitchen.com/how-to-make-easy-chia-j
am-with-any-fruit-222310. 5 minutes and ready so easy. I used Stevia for sweetener. Zapped the blueberries first in micro-oven for more juice, otherwise followed recipe.
So easy and great on favorite peanut butter sandwich.

I didn't create this dish, maybe I put it in wrong column. Sorry if I did.
