I think I am going to make a goal chart that says when I get to my 5%, 10%, 15% goal... then I get a reward, this way I reward myself for doing really good. I think my 5% goal is going to getting a new pair of earrings!

my reward is a massage each month. I didn't lose this last month so unless I lose 2 pounds I don't get one. I canceled it for this month and have rescheduled for the 21st so we will see. I hope I will be buying new clothes soon. Right now all my old clothes feel so comfy being loose. And being retired and hubby retired now...wellllll I really don't need them. Food as a reward...maybe to eat at a nice cafe..but only something light. Barb

Water is very important for us. We may, and I do, require more than the 8 glasses a day. The link goes to a water calculator I use to see what I need for my current weight. Mt requirement has dropped 9 ounces due to weight loss. Yipee!

For me lose 10 pounds and I will treat myself to a cut wash and blow dry at the hairdressers. I usually go for a wet cut only as its cheaper. So for me this would be a real treat.

I also thought of these as a treats:
New make up
New nail polish
Some new art materials
New clothing
A CD
A Book (I want one in particular and it is a little expensive so I could set that as a treat when I reach the next 10 pounds to come off)
A day out site seeing

If the clothes "FALL OFF," I tell my hubby that I need new ones! My underware fell down while I was sewing up a forehead one night~! I was sterile so just keep sewing....but the next day, I went to buy new underware!

i'm getting a pedicure @ 10 and 20 pounds lost, 30 poundsis a 9 cube shelving for scrapbooking/ stamping stuff, 40 pounds another pedicure, 50 pouns... we are going to disney world!!!

You are definately right there!! I don't like to feel like Im punishing myself by eating healthy so having a bad food as a reward doesn't seem helpful. But you know it might work for some peoples.

Just another thought on this subject: I try not to make any food items my rewards. It seems to help me not focus on that kind of thing and focus more on eating right and exercise.

What kind of goal rewards have you established for yourself.. Ex. lose 10 pounds=new shoes
