I did it! My clothes fit better and I feel better too. Being able to accomplish what I started over the most tempting part of the year gives me hope that I can continue into the new year.

It's been a busy and exhausting week but I've been eating healthy and not getting side tracked. I'll probably have my share of treats on Christmas but for now I can wait. Another week over and another pound gone.

WTG!! Maintaining is just as difficult as losing weight or maybe even harder. Sorry about your tooth but glad it was taken care of. You're right about enjoying the little things we take for granted when we're not in pain. Hope you're feeling better and doing well.

As for me, I'm down 5 lbs and made my first goal of being in my 180s by the new year. So excited to see how much more I can do before the year's over.

I did get on the scale today and it shows that I'm holding at 7#'s down since June. For me, over the past couple of years, this "down" is a first in too long.

I fractured a large-sized filling on Thanksgiving Day. -- I was living on pain meds & a liquid diet until this past Monday when they replaced it all w/ a temporary crown.

Today is the first day of sitting and enjoying a full meal. ...little things to enjoy. So easy to take for granted when there is no pain!

My body isn't paying attention to losing weight at this point. It's still healing from "stuff" / stress / hormones, ETC. But maintaining below 200 is a reasonable, stay-with-it-target for me...

Hi, I just joined the group and thought I'd start a challenge to lose weight before the New Year. It's not the easiest time to lose weight with temptation everywhere but I don't want to use holidays and celebrations as an excuse to gain. I'd be glad to just maintain over the holidays but the thought of being lighter by 2017 would suit me better. Hopefully I can inspire others to join in. I'll be posting when there's a change in weight and also weekly. Good luck.
