I've been doing 50 to 75 incline pushups of the counter top. I feel these a lot more than a modified or wall pushup. I try to do 25 every time I go to the bathroom so far I've done 50. emoticon

I made my own circuit workout yesterday. Included was 4 minutes (1 min ea set), and I averaged 25 modified push-ups each minute.

Congratulations, 266266!!

So far today, I've done 10 push ups on the BOSU, and some regular planks, which I held from 30 to 45 seconds each.

Hi, last week I found myself ( with no fore thought) doing " real " pushups !!! first time ever & again since too!! emoticon
I'm 55 yrs old & I can do full pushups!!! woohoo.

I've been doing 30 wall-ups each morning for a while now. When I forget a day I really feel it in my shoulders when I start back up again. So I added it to my Spark Login page to remind me as soon as I sign in. So far this year it is working!

This year is all about me and my quest to unload this extra person I have been hauling around.

I started with 8 wall pushups last week, nearly every day. This week I'm doing 10 wallys each day. I notice my muscles feel it, but my hands hurt every time, from leaning on them. Weird.

This challenge comes at the perfect time for me. I do girlie push-ups twice a week in the RIPPED class I go to and I find them to be the hardest part of the class. I had alread decided that I would try to add additional push-ups at home a couple times a week to help with my upper body strength. Now I have the challenge to keep me focused. Brilliant!!!!!

I did my usual first set of 10 sinkups this morning, then got out the mat to see what else I could do.

Ha ha ha ha heh heh ha. hmm.

I could dip about an inch in a regular pushup about 4 times, and girlie style I could maybe dip 4 inches 5 times.

So that's what I will track:

Monday 9/30
sets of 10 sinkups: 1 so far
girlie style: 5 at 4"
regulation: 4 at 1"

(looking forward to improvement!!!!)

Saturday 10/5
Sinkups, 1 set of 11
regulation, 5 at 2"

Where ever you are starting from begin to add pushups to your upper body routine at least 2 days a week. I will try and find some good resources for helping build up, if you have any let us know! Some will start with wall pushups, that is okay, some can do it with the counter, some can do the girlie brand on the floor and I bet there has to be someone who can do the full on pushup! You need to either add to what you are doing and try to build to the next level or begin doing them.

Post at least once a week to let us know how you are doing!
