Our family has always composted, when I lived with my parents and since I've been an adult. Since I've lived in my current house I've had chooks so all of the scraps go to them and then their dropping go on the garden!

Highest pre SP weight 81 kilos = 178.6 lb, Dec 2005.
SP Start Weight 8th July 2006 78 kg = 172 lb

July 2007, 62 kilos = 136.7 lb
December 2008 72 kilos = 158.7 pounds.
December 2009 78 kilos = 172 pounds!!! Going the WRONG way!

Started this year. Haven't gotten anything from it yet, but it's early. Looking forward to it helping my veggie garden in the future.

Yes, and have used the end results in my gardens!! I just have to get everyone else to remember to compost in my household - they think I am crazy, but I feel it is less garbage to put out each week at the curb, and better for the earth. I have grandkids to think of, and if I want a healthy earth for them to grow up in, I want to do my part. We recycle as much as we can, and drink tap water mostly, or reuse water bottles when going on outings. We freeze water in them for the coolers, than can drink the water when they unthaw.

No composting - They frown on that in apartment buildings. I like to recycle, but limited space makes it difficult.
Thankfully, I don't have much for recyclable items. I use mostly fresh fruits, veggies, and meat from the local farmer's markets - so I no packaging there (meat is in brown waxed paper). My preference for beverages is water (refridgerated tap water) so no packaging there either. I don't subscribe to any printed newspapers, or magazines so that limits the paper in the house (junk mail is still a curse).

yes, we built a bin in our back yard for organic matter. The area where we live also has green bins that get picked up each week where we can put animal products i.e. bones.

No, not really. We live in the middle of the forest. We don't raise a garden. My husband raises pumpkins. Just to see if he can get a BIG one. If we have food scraps. We put them out and something will eat them, cats, coons, possums, etc.. We put vegetable scraps out for the bunnies or whatever wants them. Lawnmower clippings go in a hole that we are trying to fill. WE DO RECYCLE. In fact we have to take it about 25 miles (one way) to the nearest bins. We love our earth. My son will tell people that they should recycle to save our planet.

I don't generally have anything to compost, so no. Just recycle.

No. When my husband retires he plans on composting.

1. Exercise 3-5 days a week
2. Get my vitamins in daily
3. Get my fluids in daily - water or crystal lite.
4. Get under 200 by the end of the year.
5. Stay positive - life is good :)
