I was right there with you, girl! I went to a baby shower on Saturday. Thank goodness they had lots of fruit and veggies out. But man...I wish I had not had the piece of cake! I entered the cake and when I saw the calories I was like "Oh shoot!" I went over on calories for the first time in 19 days!

everything went ok (minus the deviled eggs - i couldn't help myself its been sooooo long lol). i did however get in a lot of fruit and veggies and stayed away from all of the sweets. i think once i get this portion control thing down i will feel more comfortable in situations like this, guess i'll get another chance on labor day - unless i volunteer to work which means extra $$$ for new clothes and no temptation cause i always bring my lunch to work, i know my BF really wants me at his family's picnic with him but he understands my reasons.

I hope it went well! I was also going to suggest to fill up on veggies and fruits that might be there and just use portion control! And don't stress too much about it, it's only one day. And you do have to learn how to cope and eat in the real world! LOL

Ok Girls I am leaving in a few to attend my best friends baby shower. Just a little nervous about eating lunch, so far I have only had breakfast today so I have plenty of calories. This will be a true test in portion/self control, I usually don't put myself in situations like this (open buffet style eating) but like I said she is one of my best friends and wouldn't miss it for the world.
