I want to join in on the challenge also. So from what I see there are 3 1/2 weeks till St. Patty's Day.

Note: Exceeded my goal. YEAH!

I don't usually lose this fast. Have been losing a steady 8 pounds a month for 13 months (down 98 pounds) but for some bizzar reason, last month GAINED a couple pounds for the month while I was eating and exercising healthier than ever. I'm glad I didn't freak out (ok, I freaked out, but I'm glad I didn't give up, because the scale caught up to my diciplind behaviour.)

Congrats to everyone who put in the effort. Never give up DG's! This is your life!

Well it would help if I could count weeks wouldn't it. Let's try 8 lbs in 4 weeks.

I'd like to join late as well. I'd like to lose 6 pounds from Jan 21 to March 17. Sure it's a smaller goal than most, but I'm going for slow and steady. Definitely the slow part at least.

1. The range of cardio each day is 25 - 35 minutes; this can broken up throughout the day. If we can do more, all the better.

A dear friend who has his Ph.D. in obesity studies told me it is a falsehood that we have do 30 minutes of cardio all at one time to get the benefits. He said, "burning calories is burning calories."

I'll post another topic where we can enter our daily successes.

I would love to be in this challenge. I am planning on seeing Michael Buble on the 27th and this would just be an extra motivator to me to have lost a significant amount of weight a week before the concert!

Hi!,

Starting tomorrow January 21st through March 17th is a St. Patrick's Day Challenge. It equals 56 days which comes to exactly 8 weeks.

The ranges of loss for goal setting purposes are:

1.0 lb. a week x 8 weeks = 8 lbs.
1.5 lb. a week x 8 weeks = 12 lbs.
2.0 lb. a week x 8 weeks = 16 lbs.
