Thursday and today (friday) have been crazy as far as the BG goes. I start out high in the morning and then after I work out, which is usually after dinner I'm low the rest of the night, no matter what i consume. It's so annoying.
I have been slacking on 8 glasses of water. I can't seem to do it! GRR!
I've worked out 30 mins on the elliptical thurs and fri.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were all pretty much the same:
Water- excellent!
Exercise- superb!
Food and BG- both mediocre, food was provided by a conference at work so I didn't have much control and didn't actually know what was IN the food, hence some of the uglier BG readings (everywhere from 50-350, ugh).

Tuesday, day 3 (I'm logging the day after so I don't count things I haven't done yet)-
Water: excellent (maybe too excellent?) 16 cups
Exercise: 35 minute walk
Food: sorta sketchy, breakfast and lunch were okay, snacks could have been better, dinner was... dessert again, but this time at someone else insistence. Gotta get a handle on that though.
BG: squirely- 144 215 148 321 260 115 178 191

Day 2 was def. better for me than day 1.

Haven't exercised yet, but I am about to go jogging.

Drank 7 glasses of water so far. One to go

Followed all meal plan, which is awesome.

BG was a rollercoaster: 49 231 243 133 135 297

Haven't weighed myself, I think I am going to wait a few days.

Monday(day 2) was... iffy.
No specific exercise, but got my 10,000 steps in and I can't do that if I'm sitting on my butt all day so I must be sneaking in more than I thought.
Drank at least 11 cups of water.
Food was okay until I went to an ice cream social at work, and while the ice cream itself wasn't a problem, I ate it just late enough that I didn't want a real dinner. Oooooops.
BG sucked: 245 162 107 231 246 189 350 277 236

Day one, so far so good, I guess.
Meals were prepped, I don't actually know when I'll eat them, but I have 3 meals and 9 snacks ready for the week (big staff meeting Thursday and Friday means I don't have to feed myself, so 3 and 9 is reasonable).
Water: 9 cups
BG: 144 67 154 114 135 168, not so bad, but there was a lot of un-bolused food in there to keep from getting lower
Exercise: 2 x 10 minutes bike (to the store and back) and 2 x 15 minutes bike (to movie and back)

How did you first day go? So far so good for me. The blood sugar was a roller coaster, but what's new? I still have to work out tonight and drink a few more glasses of water, but the nights not over!

Haha, oops I actually meant to do it for this sunday, but apparently I wrote the wrong weeks. I wasn't thinking. But I guess this will give people more time to prepare and for more people do join on! Yeah, we will start the 10th!

Hi all! I am setting a weekly challenge for myself and anyone else who is interested. I am trying to lose 2 lbs. this week. Anyone interested?

1. Write down a weekly meal plan and stick to it. This will avoid any last minute "bad decisions."

2. Drink 8 glasses of water daily

3. Check your blood sugar atleast 4-5 times daily and post your readings

4. Work out atleast 30 mins a day!
