Met the knitting goal, just a little late. It was really hard on my hands as I have the start of arthritis. Looking forward to the April challenge.

Doing fairly well with eating. Tomorrow is my weigh in day so we will see.

This is my first day on Spark. I really like part 3 of the March challenge. I think this is going to be a group I like.

Well today I did some strength training exercises from Sparkpeople and I feel good. I thought I would be in more pain, but I guess between the shimmy and yoga it was easier on my body than I thought.

So far so good. I haven't done the dancing yet, but yesterday I had 3 healthy meals and today I'm on track for that as well.

I'll start on the easter egg thing tonight!

This is fun. Thanks!

So on Monday I walked 3 miles indoors that is and then today I did Shimmy 30 minutes and Yoga 30 minutes.

Had two hard boil eggs, 2 slices of whole wheat bread, a cup of coffee with half and half and two tsp of sugars.
For lunch: I had peanut butter (no salt added) and home made jam on whole wheat bread and 1/2 cup of Mango juice.

I have a Dr. appointment Mar. 1 and hopefully she will give me a green light to get back to my regular routines. This month I plan on doing all 3 challenges provided I'm not on light duty yet.

Ok so the weather is running a mock for all of us. It's happening all over the country. So I figure we will keep it a little the same I will just increase the time. Good luck, and keep in my mind your pace.
This months Challenge is going to be for exercise and healthy eating.

Part 1 of challenge:
Ok so we did the dance last month and I did say we will keep it new and fresh, but the weather has been to irractic every where I thought why not keep it but with a twist..... Yes ladies a twist you can do the dancing around for the 20 minutes and it was such a success. Well most of us have Fitv with our cable/satelites providers. They have a dance exercise called Shimmy. Same thing we work out our entire body. Also with no added stress to our knees and any part of our body that has arthritis. I did it first to make sure that this wouldn't be to difficult and it's not so let's give it a try. But if you don't have this channel continue the exercise dance but instead of 25 minutes... let's do 30 mintues. So everyone can do this one.

Part 2 of Challenge:
Here is a thought as our challenge I too saw a success with the eating one healthy meal each day. Well this month we will be doing 3 healthy meals. Whether that is breakfast, snack, lunch or dinner. You pick the meal you will incorporate the healthy meal. You can eat oatmeal for breakfast, for snack a fruit, for lunch it could be grilled chicken on spinach or dinner. Whatever you chose it's not wrong, but incorporate a healthy meal into your day every day.

Part 3 of the Challenge:
Easter Egg Hot Pad
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate

SIZE: One Size
Approximately 9 in x 8 in [23 x 20 cm]

MATERIALS
1 Ball 760-098 Lion Cotton Yarn: Natural
1 Ball 760-298 Lion Cotton Yarn: Sherbet Swirl

Lion Brand Knitting Needles- Size 8 [5 mm]

Lion Brand Crochet Hook - Size H-8

GAUGE:
16 st x 24 rows = 4 in [10 cm.] BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:

Potholder is worked with 3 strands of yarn held together throughout.
Wind yarn into three separate balls.
When starting the colored yarn, match the three strands so that the points where the color changes on each strand is the same as the others.
