I have always been told 8 oz. I like lemon or orange slices in my water. Then I am tricking my body into thinking that I am drinking something other than water. At home I make sure that is is nice cold ice water.

It always helps me to keep a bottle of water in the car. It's sort of like mindless eating - you can drink a couple of cups before you realize it.

HI EVERYBODY. THANKS FOR ANSWERING THE WATER QUESTION. I THINK I CAN HANDLE THAT BETTER THAN THE HUGE GLASSES THAT I SEE SO MUCH. THEY LOOK TOO FOREBODING FOR SOMEONE WHO HATES WATER ! emoticon
I AM FINDING THAT DRINKING SOME WATER IS HELPING ME CUT OUT THE EVENING SNACKS. I HAVE A SPICY V8 AT NIGHT AND I DO HAVE SOME CUT UP CELERY AND BABY CARROTS. NOT STUCK ON VEGGIES EITHER! I HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO TO CONQUER THIS! CHERYL

To stop myself from eating at night, I either brush my teeth or drink a cup of decaffeinated or herbal tea. Or do both. (tea first) lol

For the snacking try to keep healtier options such as fruit if you craving sweets or baby carrots if you want something crunchy. As for water it is 8oz is considered a serving. Try putting a lemon in the water for a different taste.

i believ the general reccommendation is 8 8oz glasses a day since theres 8 oz in a measuring cup

My biggest challenge so far is to keep from eating in the evening when I'm watching t.v. etc. The other thing is "I hate drinking water!" But...I am trying. Just wondering...they tell you to drink 8 glasses of water a day....what is the serving size per glass...8 oz.??? Most glasses appear to hold about 12 to 16 oz. Cheryl emoticon
