Ah, Donna -- that's one of the best confessions I've heard all year. So you ate 3 dozen cookies, that's quite a feat, especially with you being diabetic! We all make mistakes, and lucky for you, you lived through it, and can tell your story.

I think binges are something that faces each and every diabetic. My husband is one too, and I've seen him gobble down a whole package of cookies like he doesn't know what he's doing.

We will fight our weaknesses in 2014 and try our best to be strong!
Hugs, Eve

hi . yes i am confessing . i am diabetic . i should not have anything like cookies or treats or if i do i shouldnt have eaten the batch of cookies that i made for my family . they dont live here . but make them i did and eat them i did . the next day i was feeling every sugary bite felt blotted and heavy . blood sugars went up and they are still up . four days after my mistake . I knew what i was doing but i thought . well one cookie and then soon i had eatten the whole batch . all three dozen of them . well they are a double cookie so that was only a dozen and half . but still . gobes . chocolate cookes most and lucesh with googey white creamy filling . my kids used to fight over them . now they beg me to make them for them . if i do and they get here in time they eat them as fast as they can . if i give them to them to take home they hide them from their own kids and keep them for themselfs . this year they didnt get here in time to eat them . I had them the day before and they didnt get here until yesterday . . mistakes . i make them . how to get fat quick.

Weight creeping up? Think you're doing everything right -- or do you know where you messed up? Share with us on this post....... sometimes the littlest errors add up to the biggest gain. Around the holidays I thought a jar full of M&M Peanut would look cheerful and add a lot to the holiday decorations. Know what it added? Weight to my scale!!

No kidding, it's these innocent, unconscious little pop-in-your-mouth items that can be your downfall. You don't even seem to realize you've popped 3 or 4 of them in your mouth as you walk by. Leftovers (the heavy, rich kind) in your refrigerator. Sure, they are delicious and they seem to say "Eat me! Finish me off!" as you open the refrigerator. That's deadly logic. Better to throw them into the garbage disposal than to eat them just to get rid of all those extra little containers in the refrigerator.

We all have our excuses. We hate to admit them -- even to ourselves. But they are there, and all of them add up to the real reason we aren't reaching our goals. Tell us about yours, because sometimes just by recognizing them, and admitting them, you can OVERCOME them.
