Hi Margo (and all)

You did well for a celebration dinner, I'd say. I love the potato skins too. If they are from your dinner's baked potatoes they are better for leftovers than if they are truly leftover potato skins. I know that looks confusing, but you know what I mean. If they are really left over baked potatoes, just heat them up, add a little butter or sour cream (use the light kind) and presto, a handy snack for you!

I was hungry last night and hadn't been to the store didn't have anything to make a salad out of -- so I peered in the freezer, took out a bag of hashbrowns and fixed a few of those nice and crispy, and added cottage cheese to eat with it. Actually it's one of my favorite food combo's. Am I crazy?

Have a wonderful day! Eve emoticon

I love looking at weights in old posts and thinking about what I was doing a few months ago, etc.

I went out for my anniversary last night and I did okay, had salmon but one too many beers, even if it was a light one. This morning I had one of my husband's leftover potato skins, was going to eat three but one was too many :-) and I threw the other 2 way, was going to throw the box away but when I told DH he protested so I guess I'll let him find out how nasty leftover potato skins are. But now I'm finishing up my second cup of coffee and eating my new black bean soup, Health Valley, no salt added so it's low salt, only 70 mgs or something a cup but I think the potato skins are not sitting well with me!

Just got back from Las Vegas for a week -- and I'm sure my time there added more calories! Don't know if you have a Cheesecake Factory in your location, but I am addicted to their avocado eggrolls, and if you go there during "Happy Hour" which starts at 4:00 they are only $3.95. You dip them in a delicious mango sauce.

My weight has remained at 155.4 for three days in a row, so I guess mowing the lawn last night didn't seem to budge the scale.

Hugs, Eve emoticon

Hi Eve, I just got back from the other side of the island. We roughed it and slept in our washroom of our new garage. I bought korean style short ribs, sushi, and somen salad. I barbecued the short ribs. It is wet over in the rain forest so my fire never did take off good. The fire got rather smoky because it rained. All in all a fun weekend - and no way am I getting on the scale tomorrow. I ate and drank a little too much this weekend.

This morning (actually early afternoon) hubby and I went to a Sunday Brunch at the Country Club we belong to. I haven't been to one in years. I'm not really big on breakfast, even though I always eat one. So it was my idea to go later and I could think of it more as "lunch."

I think I didn't do too badly, kind of combining the two meals into one calorie wise. I did drink one glass of mimosa, and they had these rolls that were kind of like "dieters cinnamon rolls" and by that I mean they were not very sweet at all, no goopy-drip stuff on the top, just a few walnuts, but heavy on cinnamon. I thought they were darn near perfect. I had one of those, then went back up and took one to go with my coffee as hubby indulged in pie ala mode. I've decided I'm not weighing in until next Friday, and as a person who is used to stepping on the scale every day that will be very difficult. But I'm hoping to have a nice surprise by next Friday.

Our month is half over, and the way time flies it seems like "monthly weigh in" is just around the corner.

When, and how, is the last time you splurged on eating? Come on, enter a post!

That's exactly right - we'll lose the weekend weight by Wednesday and do it all over again this weekend - my sentiments exactly. We need to work on this. Got any ideas?

I didn't do too bad with food this week-end; except that Friday night we had two girls (21 yr. olds) who sing with a special choir who is touring this part of the USA, and knowing they would be starving, we had a few snacks (Ritz crackers, cheese, summer sausage and cupcakes) when we got home from their concert. Then Saturday morning it was our responsibility to feed them before taking them back to the church so they could continue on their tour. I made diced ham with scrambled eggs and we had 9-grain toast. Plus a special blend of juices: orange/ banana and milk (they loved it).

Sunday night I thawed out a package of dark turkey meat which no one likes but me, made mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, cranberry sauce, and yes, I probably gained 2 lbs. over the week-end. It should be off again by Wednesday, so I can do it all over again next week-end. haha

I got up at 5 this morning because my husband got up to got to work. I already logged in a packet of oatmeal but I will share that with my granddaughter when she comes at 7. Oatmeal fills me up. Hey- how'd you do this weekend with the food intake? I didn't do so well. I did exercise so I will log that in right now.

So..... what did YOU have to eat this morning?

For me this morning it was a sort of fruit/protein drink that I make by combining coffee/milk/banana/protein powder and anything else that sounds good to me at that particular moment. At 150 calories it's not bad and really fills me up.
