Last year and probably the year before too, I went to Las Vegas (actually Henderson) to visit my daughter and two grandkids for Thanksgiving. One has a birthday on Nov. 23, the other on Nov. 25. It makes it a great time to go visit. Not sure if the tradition will carry on this year or not. I will not be getting married until early next year, but circumstances sometimes change things.

We went camping this time last year, nothing very exciting because of the money crunch. We've done a little travelling this year and had to put it off last.

I weigh a little more but feel better and am working harder at weighing less again than I was this time last year. I was just getting away from my Facebook addiction back then :-)

Yep! October 1st sees me getting on the boat and ready to head out for my cruise.

You didn't say what you were doing 'last year' and that's what I expected to read. I can certainly understand why it was a shock to see the gardener tearing out your tomatoes -- which is why I like to do my own gardening, then "I'm" in charge of when I tear them out.

I'm itching to put in mums, etc. in my new flower bed but knowing they will freeze shortly, I used my willpower and will wait until spring. However, I have ordered lots of tulip bulbs and they will go in the ground when we get back from vacation.

Last year ...... it was shortly before my birthday, and I had no steady boyfriend. This year..... we are making plans to be married very early in the year (not New Year's Eve -- lol) but early! And weight-wise I think I was about 4 or 5 pounds heavier than now. I don't make a lot of progress in a year, but at least it IS PROGRESS!

I woke last Wednesday morning and came down and opened the front door (we're in a middle townhouse so only get light from front and back) and my landscaper was there digging up my vegetable garden, had already pulled up all my tomato plants! It was okay, just startling. Like my husband said, "Guess we're not having any more homegrown BLT's?"

The original landscaper used the "wrong" dirt (all topsoil) so I asked this current/wonderful one to dig up the garden when he did the fall thing, which I thought was going to be in a week or two, guess I wasn't paying attention to the "time", it is end of September; October next weekend!

My husband and I just got back from celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary. Last year we couldn't really afford to go away or do much so we had a family campout with our middle son, daughter-in-law and the two grandchildren.

We did that this year back the middle of August and aren't feeling as financial fragile this year so decided to take a quick car trip up to Erie Pennsylvania to a race track and casino up there. We stayed at the Sheraton, which is on Lake Erie, and had a wonderful time.
