good morning
I had forgotten all about this thread and challenge. I am trying to think of something that will be a challenge but not so overwhelming to think about that I will get scared or angry and give up.
I believe I have it. I can not give excuses about anything. I (like you all probably) have a notebook full of excuses at the ready all the time. for this month that notebook is locked away. NO excuses for anything. I need to excercise my willpower in order to make it strong for everything else in my life.

I agree girl the only way I get in all my water is if it is the only thing I drink. I used to not be able to drink it with my meals but I am getting better!

I am still working on the water. In the beginning, I was drinking 4 water bottles a day. That is alot more that I used to drink. I guess that really has become a habit! Now I am determined to drink a gallon a day! I have only been drinking milk with my lunch and dinner, and water the rest of the day!

What kind of challenges are you working on now ladies?

Garber and I gave up bread again for the month of March and are drinking the gallon of water.

What are you challenging yourself with today, week, month?

I have to say I forgot about my halfway habit.
I was to interested in the other challenges and it totally left my brain.
So I will try again.
Also I want to get up and to 10 minutes of exercise every morning before I do anything else.
I guess I had better put a note on my bedroom door to remind myself every morning! lol

Often it is about getting out of the endless loop of thinking and getting into action.

Well, the first 30 days have past.
How did everyone do on making something a habit?
We have just started the next thirty days, so does anyone have anything they would like to make a habit by the end of our challenge?

What a great challenge Kim and Garber (I finally got it right!).

I know my skin is much more supple and less dry. I also have noticed my hair is not falling out as much, which I believe to be because I am getting a balance of vit. and minerals.

Howdy. I have noticed a HUGE difference in my skin when I drink plenty of water. My skin isn't as dry (especially my face) when I get enough...It is motivation for me to keep hydrated.

Last month Garber (KimberlyQ) and myself decided to make little challenges for each other. During January I chose and it was no chocolate, no bread, a gallon of water a day.

For February it was her turn to pick and it was 50 jumping jacks, 50 squats, 50 wall push ups, a gallon of water.

I know that having these little challenges sure does help and drinking the gallon of water has helped me tons.

Yes, if I don't start drinking water first thing in the morning, I could never get all that water in!!!

Hey ladies! I am feeling a little bit better today. Not 100% but about 75% -- I just wish I could get this dumb fever to go away for good!

Shannon, I think it is great that you are adding water to your diet. I have found if I start off with water in the am before anything else I am more apt to get more in througout the day.

Well, I have to say my halfway habit just isn't happening. After doing 50 squats the elliptical is out of the question, at this point. So I have decided to change my goal. My new goal is to do crunches everyday,
I started last night with 20 and will add two everyday until I hit 50.
I am not disappointed with myself for not being strong enough to do the elliptical right now.
I know mine is an older one, so I feel like I'm riding a bike standing up. I'm not ready for that yet, maybe I can make that my next 30 day challenge!


How is everyone else doing with their halfway habits?

i wish my habit was one to start. with the treadmill here i now have to quit my bad habit. well the treadmill will make it easier, now i have something else to do. good luck to all.

I am adding a goal to my list. When I work, I will arrive 1 hour earlier in the AM and workout in the gym. Thanks for SPARKING that idea in me Penny!

My goal habit is to make 10 min on the elliptical every morning my habit. I love how it jump starts my day. But some time that extra 10 in bed is so inviting!

For me it is staying within range of nutrition on my days off. Also to work on fitness on my day's off. Those seem to be my hardest days.

The scale doesn't always move as fast as we like. But as long as we are making progress with our habits we are still on our way to a healthier us.

Did you know that you only have to do something for 30 days for it to become a habit? Thats right, just 30 short days. This challenge is for 60 days. emoticon

So, what will you be able to make a habit by the halfway mark?
