Though the challenge is over, I think i may print out the daily goals from it to incorporate because, if you remember from my posts about a month ago, I made the "too busy" excuse a lot. I was needing this right when it came out, but I will use it in the future.

So I see this challenge has ended! It's too bad everyone didn't join! All I can say is...I truly hope everyone is doing OK!

I'm checking in to say Happy Monday! I bombed this weekend! But today is a new day!!

I played Bunko yesterday with a mom from my son's baseball team. I have never heard of it, but it was a lot of fun! I never do things like that!

So did anyone do anything interesting this past weekend????

Yeah! Shannon! 2 pound loss! Great job!

Yesterday was a good day and great night! I spent some time with Tomie and her family at Daves and it was wonderful! I didn't drink, so I did real good! But the cheesball was killer - but I was still in my calorie range.

I snuck a peak at my weight this morning and I have lost 2 pounds 218, I am hoping it holds till Monday! Be GOOD Miranna - Be GOOD! Hehe

Hello,
Just to let you all know, I have been having the toughest week ever! I have been so crazy busy, and not very motivated. I have also been having some school issues with my 9 yr old son. I have made the decision to homeschool him. I have been busy the past two days getting information for this. I have made up my mind to do this and to not let this interfere with my weight loss!
I weighed in this morning because I was worried about how much weight I have gained since I have been slacking...ya so I lost 2 pounds. How crazy is that???
I am sorry that I have't been around here, but it seems I am not the only one! LOL
Where the heck is everyone????
I know summer is coming and we all want to get outside, but just stop by and post a little something about how you are doing!!!!

Good Morning Ladies,

I was MIA yesterday and it was extremely stressful and busy. I worked all night (Sunday night), then had to take my mom to the doctor than on to the hosptial yesterday. She has pneumonia and not feeling good, of course.

I didn't get to sleep till 1130 last night and was up for over 36 hours. Have you ever been so tired, you CAN'T sleep? I woke up so many times last night. Uhg. Okay, lot of work and things to do today, so I will be on later tonight. Big hug to all and can't wait to see this team more active on here. I know that is one thing that keeps me motivated.

I also have been very busy!
I have been gone all weekend! I am sorry I didnt stick with the challenge this weekend either!
I am back in the swing of things for tomorrow! I know with summer coming I wont be able to give the computer much attention, but that is OK cause I can finally feel OK going outside with the kids!!!

Hang in there Miranna, you are a strong woman and you can work through what ever is slowing you down.

I haven't left you guys. I just have been spending a lot of quality time out in the sunshine with my daughter. I am limiting my computer time so I have more play time. I am being a kid again. When was the last time you relived a childhood game or activity? The trampoline is helping my with my endurance.kick ball and planting our garden(I hope I find my green thumb by then)is on the list for this week!


Thank you girls for still being here!

I still need support, but right now spring fever is in full swing.
I am also going the make time for these challenges, I am sorry that I have faltered on my part to support our team. I WILL make this team a priority in my daily agenda!

Honestly, I had every intention in the world of doing our workout today, but did not even do it. It was an a little emotional day today and I feel completed exhausted, plus had to work tonight! I am down in the dumps! I really want chocolate, but will not have any! Okay.. I exhausted my thoughts for a moment!

Friday: I walked 3 miles on the treadmill at work! I did walk backwards, kinda like on biggest loser! Oh that felt good - the burn!

20 wall pushups - done
10 girly - done
6 full flege real pushups - done (sorry couldn't do 10 either)
How about a 45 sec plank?
20 bridges with 10 sec hold - done!

I agree with Kimmie - everyone is gone! I would hate to see this team dissipate!

Is there anything we can do to help keep people active? Please let Kimmie and I know - PLEASE!!!

Try to walk backwards for 2 min as often as possible.. feel the difference? CHECK
20 wall pushups -- 150 check
10 girl pushups -- Check
10 full fledge real pushups -- uh yeah, I did like 4
1 min plank -- YIKES but check, I think I only made like 54 sec.
20 bridges with 10 sec hold -- check

I did Jasons Challenge today! So 20 min. on exercise bike and 20 min. circuits. Then I did 27 min. yoga DVD. And I ended my night with a 40 min. walk!

Wall pushups, wall squats, dips, DONE

Crap I never danced, sorry too tired! I will make it up in the morning!

Cardio- took at 3 mile walk plus worked in the yard for about an 90 min.

Did the squats- modified with ball, lunges. Will dance to my song & wall pushups later tonight when I wake up from my nap.

Good Morning All!

My apologies that I did not post today's challenge tonight, I had been up for 26 hours and fell asleep at 5pm and woke up at 730 this morning. Wow, talk about some sleep.

But, I am kinda glad I did not post it in reading the posts overnight. So I am going to changes things up and focus on fitness this week! So get ready to sweat!

I will be continuing the balance thought process in my blogs for those who wish to check it out! I have been reading a great deal on this and it one of the most consistent thing I have read and am learning is that it is not just about time management of the priorities in your life, it is knowing what really is your priorities. "In today's society people rush, rush, rush and keep this schedule, by this clock,that calendar and are constantly racing against the sunset and sunrise. Balancing your life is not all about managing your priorities based on time or a calendar; it is a creating a balance between your true-self desires."

It goes on to say that it is inevitable not to add time factors in our lives, as modern society is time based. But it continues to give some modern twists on finding a good balance in our life's. So, if your interested - come check out my blog over the next couple weeks!

You know...I thought about this, overall my life is pretty balanced. THe last few months (since December) finances have taken over and consumed my mind - basically there just wasn't enough. Life is not always black and white - boy have I ever learned that lesson. The days some times don't seem long enough - that is for sure but I get to scrapbook, I get to workout, I get to church, I get time with friends and I get time with the fam. I know last week I had to end up cutting some time out on the computer in the evenings and the weekends because I just wasn't getting other things done. I suppose I could find some more time to clean, but heck life is too short. I feel pretty balanced. I wake up at 4:30 in the morning so that I can get my workout in. I am like SHannon and I need to write it down and to make it happen. This not only goes for scheduling my day but also for budgets, grocery lists, etc.

I have taken several time managing classes - if you need any help let me know.

OK so I really don't think I have a problem with my priorities. My life is pretty balanced. I have learned to allow more time for myself and that has worked into my daily schedule! I live my life with schedules and I seem to be doing just fine in this area!

The balancing challenge: 2 min. I stopped cause the instep on my dominate foot was hurting. I just got back from an hour walk. I will try again tomorrow when my feet aren't sore. I am curious how long I can do that for!

Okay. . .My first challenge. . .
1. My priorities are:
Family Relationships: 50%
Marital Relationship: 15%
Health: 30%
Sprituality 5%

I would like them to be:
Family Relationships: 30%
Marital Relationship: 30%
Health: 20%
Spirituality: 20%

When standing on my dominate foot I only lasted about 23 seconds, (but my ankle is injured)
So. . . I did it on my other foot too, and I lasted 1 minute 17 seconds.

Was I supposed to post this all here?

Here is your challenge for Monday 05/05/08:

Often, people have expectations of themselves that are unreasonable given the amount of time they actually have to devote to something. If, for example, you are giving only 50% of your time to a career, it is truly unreasonable to expect yourself to be a superstar in that category. But if kids and family are a top priority to you, giving only 50% to career is probably the most you could give and still have enough time and energy left over.

emoticon #1 Assignment:
1). Identify the top four priority categories in your life that you want to balance (i.e., spirituality/personal development, family/relationship, career, personal care/health) and honestly assess how much time you give to each category NOW!
2) Re-prioritize them to what would be a better balance. You can choose to share this or not; this is your personal decision.

Keep this list, as Tuesday you will need it!

emoticon Physical Balance: When exercising, we rarely think about balance, but it is a very important part.

#2 Assignment: Barefooted on flat ground, stand on your dominate foot (same as your dominate/writing hand) and move your opposite foot so the bottom of the foot lays on the side of the ankle, without touching the floor. Balance as long as you can and record your time here.

#3 Assignment: Huddle with this team today with a positive message!

Tuesdays Challenge will be posted Monday night -- there is a special reason for this, just wait and see!
