I did absolutely nothing! OH wait I tried Jasons challenge. I only finished one round because of time restraints! OMG was that hard! Other than that my hubby and I vegged all day! We were going to get all of the housework done since it was raining, but it felt good to relax!
I did log my food!
I did drink water, but not a gallon.
I am fabulous!

I am soooo sore! I can't emagine how I would feel if I did the whole challenge! LOL

I cleaned out my clutter filled closet! I organized all of the clothes that my bff and my mom have given me! They will fit soon I hope! I found jeans that have been too small for a few years now...They are too big now!!! I forgot they were even in my closet! LOL

OK so yesterday (Friday) I failed! I didn't do the exercise part of the challenge. I'm sorry team. I just didn't feel like it. I did drink almost a gallon of water. I logged all of my food. I am fabulous!!!

Today I will be trying Jason's challenge!
I am logging all food!
I am drinking water!
I am fabulous!
I am going to unclutter something! Probably my desk! LOL
Today my family and I are cleaning the house and the yard!!

Good Morning Team (really good afternoon)

I have been extremely busy outside and off the computer which has it's up's and down's. Up is that I am being extremely physically active and the down is I miss you all. It does seem slow around here, so I am hoping that all of you are the same - outside and getting a great spring workout!

I have completed all the challenges thus far and am looking forward to the weekend and next week!

Next week, I will be leading the team on next weeks challenge - so everyone get ready to move, think and be active!

2 positive things:
1) I worked out even though I had NO time to do so!!!
2) I got 7.17 miles on the pedometer today. HOLY CRAP, I was busy today.

Getups - Kimmie, IOU 16!! Did NOT get this done today! Plumb forgot!

I am fab!! WOO-HOO!!

Leaving for Alaska in the a.m. - don't know when I can post but I will as soon as I can. :-)

Okay ladies, Yesterday was very active day. I spent 9 hours in the yard; mowing, in the garden and garage.

I did do my getups-14
I drank way over a gallon of water
% I would say 70-75%! This is honest. I know I have more in me and I am not giving it my all. Initially I gave 100%, but since my flubb I am SLOWLY heading back up and that is good. This time I am just spending some time understanding why I give up so easily and learning new habits so this will be the last time I do this!

I do look fab! I looked down at my arms this morning and actually seen some definition at the shoulder, I was excited!

Marji! Hang in there lady! Stay strong and do what you can. Just come by and say hello and support other's, so we can continue to support you also.

Apparently I have not given 100%. I try to, then something always gets in my way. Yesterday, I did not get anything done. I did do my kickboxing cardio for the day. I also got my ST in. By the time I noticed that I didn't do the challenge, my day had gotten away from me. I only drank 4 water bottles. I didn't do the getups. I didn't even tell myself how fabulous I am. Today I will make up for the getups, I am doing Jason's challenge. I also, will make up for the mirror thing. I am Fabulous!

*Do 14 getups (if you don’t know what a getup is…it is just like it sounds – lie down on the floor and get up to a standing position – do it again)

*Look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you are fabulous, even if you don’t feel it just do it. They say if you tell yourself something long enough you will believe it!

Changes in my Household:
~There is now 2 % milk instead of Whole milk
~I buy Ground Turkey or Turkey Sausage instead of Ground Beef
~I now have a food scale so I can weigh out my portions
~I buy alot of whole grains
~There are veggies and fruits now instead of junk food
~I buy Low fat/Low Sodium products and Sugar free
~I No longer drink sweet tea or Mountain Dew/Pepsi( OMG who would ever have thought that I would be saying that...rofl)
~I use Splenda as a sweetner now and dont use reg sugar

***Gallon of water drank
***I could only do 10 get ups...(it kills my knees)
***Mirror Mirror on the wall...Marji is Fabulous

More whole grains, less prepackaged food, a LOT less eating out, a lot less refined sugar.

My kitchen has changed by buying less processed foods and more snacks. I always shopped fairly healthy but I never ate enough and I never ate snacks. I never buy chips or sweets because if they are in the house, I will eat them.

Getups done...OMG

Water done - I chugged 48 oz before I left work and I didn't think I was going to make it home.

I AM FABULOUS ;)

My kitchen has changed a little.
I try healthier recipes and we eat out less.
I keep more beans and vegetable broth on had to make soups. And we eat more fish.

My kitchen has changed drastically:
I have gotten rid of all junk food. I have replaced with healthy food. I have taught my son to read serving size for his snacks. I have been cooking dinner everyday. If we go out to eat, once every couple of weeks, we go to a restaurant with healthy choices.

I have finished 12 getups!

I am working on the water.

And, I am fabulous!!!

Things I have changed in my house: I cook at home on my days off and have extra made for dinners for work. Another, is that all "goodies" are out of site, so for the most part out of my mind. The only time I think about them, is when I am reminded.

My cupboards are full of vegtables, fruit, beans, healthy pasta. This is now my staple.


My Summer Goals (reminder):

1. On Sept 1st, I will be in the 180'ville.
2. By Sept 1st, I will be in a size 18W Pant
3. I will have completed 1 of my lifetime goals.
4. I will be able to run/jog 1 mile without stopping.

GOOD JOB BLUE - you are staying at this and that is what counts!

Okay, so let me get this right:

All Week, I WILL:
1. *LOG ALL MY FOOD FAITHFULLY
2. *Make GOALS FOR SUMMER, starting today through September 1st, 2008

Today, Monday April 28th:

1. *Do 10 getups
2. *Drink 1 gallon of water each day
3. *Look in the mirror and tell myself "YOU are fabulous Miranna!

Goals for Summer:

1. On Sept 1st, I will be in the 180'ville.
2. By Sept 1st, I will be in a size 18W Pant
3. I will have completed 1 of my lifetime goals.
4. I will be able to run/job 1 mile.

Today: I told myself I am fabulous! I just woke up about 4pm (from working night shift), so I am working on the water, logging the food and will be doing the getups after dinner!

Good Morning Ladies!

Today I have logged my food for the day!

My summer goals are:
1.To be in a size 22.
2.To be able to do 20 dips without modifications.
3.To be able to walk the track 5 times easy.
4.To be under 240 pounds.

I have told myself in the mirror how beautiful I am.

My getups will be done later in Jason's challenge!

As you ladies know I am sort of random, so that is how my Challenge will be as well ;) I had no idea how to do this week’s challenge when Miranna asked me to do it. I figured I would just focus on things that have been bothering me here lately and maybe they are bothering you as well.

I know this is going to sound VERY dumb but I know I got lazy with my journaling last month when I was eating things that I didn’t want to put down. Basically my eating took a slide and so did my journaling. I don’t like the journaling, well it isn’t that I mind it but it just takes time and I just typically don’t make it a priority. Well, you know what I have realized? I didn’t lose that much last month? You know why? Because I wasn’t logging….In order to be successful at anything you need a plan. When you track your food you have that blue print for success. When you have a record of what you are eating you can use it to see where you need to improve, you use it to see what your mistakes are what needs to be changed. Writing it down keeps the goal fresh and clear in your mind. Do you see how easy it is to slip in bad choices when you don’t remember what you have had that day? How can you honestly say you are trying your hardest to lose weight if you don’t track your food?

SO….

*I want you to track your food this week – FAITHFULLY

Oh, you didn’t get off that easily…

*ALSO, I know some of us have been doing this awhile and maybe we have lost track of some of our goals so lets break this down. I have heard a lot of excuses about not being in here because of weather and such. I’m sorry, you can get mad at my if you want but weather is an excuse. Let me explain…if you have joined Spark you have done so for a reason. I am going to venture to guess is because you wanted to lose weight and you needed some tools for help. You can talk to ANYBODY that has been successful at this and they will tell you having supportive people around them, and working the boards has been a contributing factor to their success. I’m not trying to be mean and make people defensive I’m just saying….

With that said the nice weather is here…

This process is about not only fixing the mind, but conditioning the brain and body. We have done a lot of mind/soul conditioning the past few weeks. I hope that it has helped you think about where your weaknesses are and where your strengths are throughout this journey.

Today we are not going to think we are just going to MOVE!!! Just do it!

*15 minutes brisk cardio

20 sets of 25 in this order

Push ups
squats

Finish with 15 more minutes cardio!

Modifications that are allowed: Wall push ups or knees down pushups are okay.

If squats are a problem replace with crunches!

*Oh yeah, I almost forgot 18 getups – do them whenever throughout your workout, just make sure you do them! LOL

*Look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you are fabulous, even if you don’t feel it just do it. They say if you tell yourself something long enough you will believe it!

Saturday/Sunday – May 3&4, 2008

I know the weekends are tough to come in here, and just to find the time. I also know that weekends are the time we can really set ourselves up for failure. This is what my challenge to you this weekend is…

*Remember we are still logging – so do that! Even if you don’t check into Spark you can write it down and log it in on Monday! WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING, or if you are an over achiever you could always plan what you are eating ahead of time and have it logged in here and not allow yourself an OUNCE more.

*Take a water bottle with you wherever you go and drink it, when it is empty get another one. Make this a habit – your body will love you!

As always…both days

*Look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you are fabulous, even if you don’t feel it just do it. They say if you tell yourself something long enough you will believe it!

*Also, I know when things are cluttered in our lives is when we feel like we can’t get on the right track. And that even includes weight loss. I do believe the clutter (mental, or other) can truly sabotage our efforts at success. I challenge you to de clutter. Even if it is just one thing but clean out that closet, clean that junk drawer, clean out your car, get that checkbook together, plan your meals for next week. Whatever your clutter is do it! We hold these “to do” lists in our heads and they weigh us down more than we can imagine! I have learned this first hand.

Let’s get real about fat or let’s get real fat ladies – you make the choice!
