The wedding was great. a beautiful outdoor, Autin TX wedding... the hill country... you just can't beat the scenary. In fact my boyfriend and I are working to move out there... the trip prompted us to get back in pursuit of that goal. that's why I have been busy this week. UGH!!! I've been trying to update my resume and apply for jobs and still do all of my community theatre obligations and get my work done at work without getting off track with my nutrition though my fitness is slipping. I am coming very close to 10,000 steps per day though! lol! anyway, I'm, hoping someone has replied to what getups are so that I can either do those or whatever has replaced them on TAG. :)

Kimmie, thanks for thinking of me! The whole W thing is going to take time. Give yourself a break, you have feelings, its ok! Have a great time walking today! That is my favorite exercise!

Today I am going to visit my dad :)
I am going to buy an exercise bike (we finally got our taxes back) woohoo

Shannon I was just talking about you over at the tag board. Wondering where you were! Sounds like you had a crazy day!

Finding motivation is awesome! And even better when it is some thing that is personal for each of us and some times we can pass along our tips because what might work for one doesn't work for some body else.

I really miss some of our regulars in here. Tomie, Garber, Penny (more than the other 2)...I hope they are all continuing on their journey!

I am getting ready to go for a walk outside, our gym is moving and they have taken all the cardio equipment out of the old gym. I was a little ticked because the new one doesn't open until April 29 - WTH? Guess my butt will be walking outside and doing some turbo jam. I guess it will be good to mix things up a little.

I broke a dish in my kitchen the other day and I stepped on glass and have it in my heal -- I have tried to get it out, I am going over to my mom's and asking her to perform surgery on me :)

W came by last night and picked up more clothing. Not sure why but this just really rubbed me the wrong way. That whole thing is not in its right place and I realized that even more so last night. I hate that I just can't put it where it should be and leave it alone!

Marilee, I am just like you. I use the scale as a way to guage my week. I usually weigh two times, Monday and Thursdays and use Monday's weigh-in for my official, no matter if it is up or down. It is trully a motivator or me.

Yeah, it's funny that EVERY time I tried weight loss in the past, I never tried to figure out my real motivation. There was always a goal, but not motivation, you know?

ok I have been so busy today! My son had his first baseball game of the season today, I still have my aunts 3yr old foster child, and dog. We woke up early, after a bonfire and drinks night. My son and I had dentist appt. and then to the game, then I went grocery shopping until 7pm. OMG so , needless to say, we went out to dinner. uugghhhh I had broiled chicken breast, salad with feta cheese, pita bread, ranch (uugghhh) they didnt have low cal ranch. I used about 2 tbsp. so I am still in calorie range!

So, I have not exercised today, I have not drank 1 gallon of water, and I have not played tag 3 times! I did log all food! And now I am so tired, I cant move! lol

I am kind of the opposite. Knowing I have to get on the scale every 3-4 days MAKES me skip wrong choices and make better ones!! LOL It is crazy what motivates us. My biggest motivator is not the scale, though - it is my quarterly blood work w/ my doctor. The scale is more of an added bonus.

I used to weigh daily. Now I do it every 2 weeks. If I am making the right choices, and doing the right things then I know the pounds will come off. I wanted this truly to be a lifestyle change for me and not about the scale but more about the progress and success.

The scale keeps me on track. I used to do every day (too scary!). Now I do twice a week - Mondays and Fridays - for different teams I'm on. I didn't do yesterday because Auntie came to town and I didn't want to throw my emotions off!! Monday should be more accurate!!

Ok Weekend challenge is here! Friday - Sunday



Drink - a whole gallon of water all three days!

Log - ALL food AND exercise all three days!

Play - TAG all three days at least THREE times a day!

Move - Do at least 60 minutes cardio TWO days!

These are the same as the week, only MORE!

Thanks Miranna, I had a blast! I cant wait to see who will do it next week!

Today I have 8 cups of water, 54 minutes of circuit training, 15 min. of ST, and im going for a walk!
I will play tag when I get home! Oh and I logged all my food!

Hey all! Wow, everyone is doing so so good. I just hate that I am having to set the fitness activity out.

I am trying my best to keep an eye on the food and when I am laying in bed or on the couch I do leg lifts. LOL.

I do have to say one thing for being sick. I jumped on the scale today and I weighed 217.6 lbs. Woohoo. Yesterday I was 218.3 so that is a possible that I really do weigh 217.6. This means a couple things.. my metabolism is still going and has not stahled and I am in the 2 teen's. Not just 219, but almost in the middle.

Okay. keep your fingers crossed that is stays this way through Monday! Woohoo!

Well for me, I have drank all my water, still no workout, but am eating good. I still feel like crapola and coughing up a lung. Sometimes I feel like I have a hard time breathing, so I am going to get another chest x-ray tomorrow. No fever so that is good, I am getting some strength back, so that is good!

3. I have done 20 min kickboxing DVD, I am going to do 30 min yoga, and Im going walking again tonight! With kids so probably wont get as far! LOL I can outlast my kid! hehe

I have to admit that i did not do good last night. never did get the last 2 cups of water and had some of the electric lemonades that I discovered iin motown. OK I just had to tell everyone, I impressed myself last night. I went for a walk with my bff last night...We walk around this track by the park. Well normally we do 2-3 laps, which is 2-2.5 miles. Last night we went 5 times around! WOOHOO It took us 80 minutes and it was 4.125 miles! I still cant believe it! My feet are soo sore! But its good sore! LOL

Sorry for the delay. I've been out of town without a computer...

2# AND I went out of town!!! FOR A WEDDING!!!! I'm going to back track and get everything nutrition wise posted from my trip as soon as I get home from work tonight and what of my exercise I can remember (I remember food but not activity... hmmm...) hey girls, how is everyone?
I have played tag and done 30 min cardio (15 walking dog and kid then 15 on the trampoline)
I still have to get the recipes for lunch and dinner from hubby to log food and finish 2 more cups water.

OK girls, i just did a new DVD! I love it! It is the female Jason. It is Jillian from Biggest Loser. It is called frontside for beginners. I felt the burn, then I felt like rubber, sweaty rubber! LOL

It was a great workout!

43 minutes of circuit training! Whew!
8 cups of water so far!
I played tag! (I will be back)
And my food is logged!!!


After dinner I am going for a walk with my bff!

Hi ladies!! Hope you are all having a fabulous evening...I left the house at 10:30 a.m. and just got home at about 6:00 p.m....MAN am I glad to be home. That was all ERRANDS. Talk about CRAP to do!!

AnyHOO - to answer your question, Kim - I get up at like 9:00 a.m. and go to bed between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m., usually. I have been trying to do better about going to bed earlier (I used to only get 5.5-6 hours sleep a night, so it has improved!).

hey Marj

I saw on here somewhere you were looking for advice on desk jobs. well i that subject n the messaged boeards hot topics. It was a thread call "Anybody else have a desk job?" there were TONS of posts with ideas if you want to look and search. the one thing i saw that was a thought was those bicycle things that are only pedals? they can fit under your desk. worth a try I have seen them at walmart pretty cheap.

mi well i found some of it. it appears i was there or a whie then disappeared. i'll try to catch up on the reading later.
ok as for today
1) all food logged even the chocolate I snuck from the kids.
2) 30 min cardio (well actually 29 the ttreadmill broke at the end it almost threw me twice, it just kept stopping. I guess it is dead, at least I have DDR now)
3) 8 cups water done
4) played tag and got stuck with lunges.

Sorry about being a little missing, but I finally gave in and came home sick from work. I am finally fever free and am working on getting re-hydrated!

Shannon: You have done a fabulous job with this challenge and looking for a great week! Thanks for covering the weigh-in start up and it is in the right spot! Woohoo over a 1 pound loss! YEAH Shannon!

Tomie: We all gained from the Motown trip and am glad you are working on stop smoking still! Proud of you and you can do it all the way!

Kimmie: You are such a great support, cheerleader and friend to us all! Thank you for being here for me!

Marilee: You are such an inspiration - 70 lbs gone and so dedicated to yourself! Love ya lady!
My weigh last week was 221.8 in today is 220.0 so that is a 1.8 lb loss! Yeah! Slowly but surley and that is exactly how I like it! Woohoo!

As for the challenge - I promise to Log all my foods for this week and will emoticon drink, drink, drink WATER! and for the excercise, I will do as much as my body will allow with being sick - BUT believe me I will push on!

Has anyone e-mailed the spark technical help about not getting notifications?

weigh in? I do not want to tell! oh allright just remember I quit smoking so there is a little gain.
was 161.8 before motown and now 163.8. I think those are the correct weights. I don't mind that I gained as long as I am not smoking. The only cigs I have had is when drinking so that is also going to have to stop.

HEY LADIES...Okay first things first...Tomie where is your picture?

For some reason I have not been receiving email and such from spark so if you have sent me email I apologize. It has been sparadic (is that how you spell that?)

I wish I could workout late at night...Marilee what time do you get up in the mornings?

For some reason I have not been sleeping the best and I wake up sleepy. This is not good for my weight loss, I know this because I don't have as much energy to workout and I don't plan my meals as well. I don't know what it has been happenign though. Things have been sort of cluttered in my life, do you think having a cluttered life can play a role into how well you sleep and such? Just a thought.

The Pope is going to be in DC this week along with all the other tourists - so lets just say traffic blew chunks this morning. It took me 1 hour and 45 min.!!!! I swear I was ready to kill some body or start drinking or some thing.

OK for those of you who are participating in this challenge...

This challenge is alot, but I know everyone on this team can do it!

We are going back to basics!

1. Log, Log, Log!!!
Enter all food with SP! I will be checking everyones food logs, and I WILL call you out! hehe

2. Drink, Drink, Drink!!!
Get in at least 8-10 cups of water, the more the better!

3. Move, Move, Move!!!
Get at least 30 minutes of cardio 5 days week!
Get at least 30 minutes of strength training 2 days this week!

4. Play, Play, Play
Go to the other thread and play tag at least 1 time a day!

I know you all can handle this!

POST EVERYTHING YOU DO DAILY!
