I also did my cardio & strength. Here are 2 days of positives:
1. I feel "off" if I DON'T exercise
2. I am getting muscles. They don't show yet on the outside but I can flex some stomach, leg and arm muscles and feel them. Woo hoo!

OOOOPPPPSSSS! I forgot about the positives, I did 5 day 30 min cardio and 2 days strength!
My positive is I am kicking myself into gear and I still feel ok!!! I am sore and I like it! AND for the first time ever I like to go out and walk!!! I can't wait for this cold weather to get out of here!!! But, I don't like it too hot either, maybe when I'm skinny I will! HAAA HAAA OK I'm done rambling on!! LOL

i am just working on the bee and ellie challenge. But the weekly was 5 days of 30 min cardio and 2 days of strength. also one positive everyday about you.

Girl I would love it! I love to cook, the clean up on the other hand not my favorite! LOL My husband isn't sure when I try a new recipe, but most of them aren't bad! We have only had one terrible one. Most of the recipes I have found on here are amazing! You couldn't get a cookbook with as much info as this website! I love it! So the taco chicken was amazing, not a drop left in the crockpot! AND the strawberry shortcake was great as well! I didn't even miss the sugar!

Weel today will be a cheat for me...My father-in-laws birthday is today. I invited some people over for dinner. I'm making the taco chicken crock pot meal that I found on SP. And thanks to BOB from BL I bought sugar free angel food cake and strawberries and cool whip free! yummy! So probably not a cheat but to me it is!!!

You know Marilee, I am very proud of you! I always allowed myself a cheat meal but the last few weeks I haven't done it because I felt guilty like I could be doing more. Yesterday, I was craving a McDonald's Filet O' Fish so badly and I totally could have fit it in, but I didn't do it. Miranna, Tomie, Garber and myself are meeting in April and I planning a cheat that weekend - or I was but honestly I am thinking twice about it now. I guess this little game works for me. I love the idea of a daily indulgence and maybe I will get me some chocolate covered almonds because I love them!

You ladies inspire me!

How funny, I just posted on the other thread about Bob on Biggest Loser last week saying he allows the contestants a cheat meal right after weigh-in. That is too funny!!

I actually eat chocolate-covered almonds every day. I just fit 'em in. I could probably eat like 3 apples for the calories that are in them but hey, it is working OK for me so dang it, I'm still doing my chocolate!!

There is a cheat meal I am PLANNING to have - my bday is in April and I am going to have like 3 pieces of pizza that day and that day only. YUM

I am in a funk this week, but NORMALLY, I allow my self one cheat meal a week. I love Marilee's post about indulgence, because I do believe that having a daily indulgence that fits within your ranges is very beneficial for success. I think that this is two differnt things and should be treated that way.

I sorta cheat when I feel like I am being deprived. I have a sweet tooth that is the size of texas. for instance when I made the apple pie last night it was suppose to be for shelb to take to school so ofcourse I had to make one for home too. Now everytime I walk in the kitchen i swear to you it is calling my name in this seductive voice. Sex will never be as good as apple pie. But I know that tonight we are going to dave's house and the beer will flow, so I am saving the apple pie for a small tiny slice on sunday. If i don't get a "cheat" in once and a while this would be heck and I would not do it. I read something on here that your diet should be like your life 80% healthy and 20% fun if you are to succeed and I take that to heart.

I allow myself a meal once a week. Normally it is our favorite carryout (broiled chicken salad w/ fresh feta cheese, pita bread, real ranch dressing, and a diet coke) I am still in my calorie range, but during the week if I have a temptation, I just tell myself to wait for the weekend and can have my favorite meal!! Also, I have either a suger/fat free jello or pudding w/ fat free cool whip every night!

Marilee - WOO HOO Girl!!

As I stated yesterday, I wasn't feeling well. By the end of the day I felt better so off to the gym I went.
67 min elliptical - 7 miles
20 min upper body strength training
50/50/50 done as well.
I felt so good last night as my hair was DRIPPING wet. My hubby (who isn't very supportive at ALL) even commented last night how proud of me he was that I even packed my gym bag in the morning for the just incase I felt better gym mode.

My postive today - I brought out yet another pair of jeans out of retirment. :)

Another busy day here. My lunch was spent with Cathy from work walking. Now let me explain I love to walk but easy flat walking is what I am about.
This girl is 5'11 and 140 she is solid no fat. She is a fitness freak so we walked almost 2 miles (my short legs 2 steps to her long legs 1 step) Up and Down flippin hills. I have more than my fair share of cardio. so then after dinner we take kids to par to go fishing and I walked the track with my 4 year old. poor dear could not keep up. As they are playing tag with dad i did the hip flexors then played tag. After I got home I had to bake apple pie for my oldests math class. so my strength is not done but i am going to do it when I am done rambling on here. so I will update you tomorow probably but be assured I will get the challenge done tonight.

oh yeah I found the pedometer that night. It was on my dresser where I took it off when I changed pants. right in fromt of my face. felt like an idiot but was estatic that I found it. I was planning on leaving early in the morn just to go to wallmart and get a new one.

My next door neighbor is creepy. I wouldn't want to give that freakshow a show, knowwhutimean??

Wed - 60 cardio + Jason's Friday challenge
Positive - Passed the 60# mark today - am at 61# lost. Am feeling great. I don't feel "winded" doing normal things anymore, like stair flights or fast walking in a time crunch. Yay me.

You may have started a trend!

I wore a little pedometer that my son gave me. When I put it on my top (I look like a dork) it works fine when I put them on my pants it doesn't register! I am having the same good problem as Garber all my pants are falling down!

The other day I parked my car in my garage and then when I reached up to grab the garage door to pull it down my pants fell down (I am not kidding!). I have new neighbors moving in to the house next door to mine and the husband and his friends were moving things I was inside my garage when I pulled it down I just pray that he didn't see but I think he did. Worse part is it was my gramma panties with cute little flowers all over it. Ugh.

Anyway, I did get in my exercise:

1 mile (I can finally run this under 15 minutes yeah! Completed one of my goals!)
50 bridges
50 tricep extensions
50 sit-ups with a 10 pound weight
25 minutes of the biggest loser cardiomax
stretching
fainting (Just kidding)

I plan to take fashion lessons after I can get into a respectable size clothes.

have not done extensions am going to as soon as I get off here. got the call my car was done so had to go get it and got a cd burner I had to figure out how to put in my computer.

My positive is that I am pretty indepent and can figure out how to do things myself.

allright talk about a loser. I lost my pedo the other night. when I was going to bed I noticed it was not on my pants. all the kids were in bed and I had taken the dogs out. I went into all their rooms turning on lights pulling thier blankets off them thinking maybe when I tucked them in it fell off, nothing. did this 2 times. checked the whole house several times. Then the funny part. I put on my sons camo hunting boots, with my jammie shirt and robe and went outside in the mud and snow with a dying flashlight looking for this stupid thing. I was out there for probably 5 min, almost picked up a pile of dog doo thinking that it was my pedometer. Why is this stupid thing so important? Because you all and your bikes are getting to your destinations and I am lagging behind. lol
Well to get the full pic you will have to see the pics of what I was wearing they are on my spark page. and just remember it was in the teens that night. Hope you all get a good laugh out of this I did.

Garber: I have a problem with my pedometer sometimes also. I was told you can put it on the tounge of your sneaker or shoe and it works just the same, and it does!! I wore one on my shoe and one on my pants and they were basically the same.

I did have on my podometer, but for some reason it doesn't register correctly. For instance, today it says that i have walked .25miles when I know that my routine at work is basically the same and yesterday around this time it was about 1.5miles. I know it is calibrated correctly, it seems to change depending what pants I have on. Some of them are too big (YAY) and then the podometer ends up askew. I know the workout pants i had on last night kept falling down and no matter where I placed the lil bugger, it wasn't registering. Oh well...I know what I did and for how long; i just won't get to SLC anytime soon. lol

Kimmie - yes you are a loser - wear it already!!!! :)

Kimmie my girl...DON'T YOU EVER SAY THAT AGAIN, unless you are referring to weight loss. It took me a full 2-3 weeks to just get used to it being there...and then I promptly lost my pedometer. I bought 2 more about 2 weeks ago - just in case. Put it with something you won't forget - like put it on top of your cell phone or something. DON'T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF.

Thanks for encouraging the rest of us!! You are always so good to us...not so much to yourself...but we'll properly whoop your booty for that. YOU SO ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like we have 3 ellies and 4 bees in for this challenge so far. I hope everyone has good shoes. I will plst the challenge on a new thread on thurs night so we can keep track of it seperate from all else. if anyone else wants in just post on here for now and I will keep track.

I went for a 3 mile walk and then I did 100 crunches, 100 rev crunches, 100 leg lifts (inner and outer) while watching The Biggest Loser!

My calve muscles are getting more defined which is good since skirt season is right around the corner! I love wearing skirts but kinda hard to do when I ride the motorcycle to work (LOL) Now THAT would be a sight!

Good morning ladies.
I, of course, am a Bee. and HECK Yea I'm in for the challenge!!!
Workout yesterday AM - 20 min bike
100 reps on leg press
50 leg curls
50 Leg extensions
50 hip Abductors
50 hip Adductors
So last night I felt a little stress and decided to take it out with exercise. I was just going to go for a walk (30 min before it got dark) but when I got back into the house, I figured, hmm...lets do some more. I proceeded to do the following:
50 Wall pushups
100 Squats
200 Crunches
2 -1min planks
100 Jumping Jacks
100 Switchbacks (I think that is what they are called. Kinda like lunges, alternating feet while jumping)
100 Bridge-ups
50 Modified Pushups.
6 min jumping on mini trampoline
I was a little tired after all of that

Tomie, I am a Buzzer... :-)

40 minutes of cardio in (so far!) today. Plus, the 50 crunches/50 wallies (some strength!).

Positive - due to store sales and coupons, I bought 20 boxes of General Mills cereal today for $4. NO TYPO. I love coupons - am rather psycho at it. I will be eating Cheerios, Total and Fiber One for 2 meals a day for the next 4 months!!

weekly challenge 5, 30 min cardio and 2 days strength
walked 2 miles tonight. haha I made hubby go with me I guilted him into it. also did strength. did alot of it at work then finished with daughter at home. so 2 days cardio and 1 day strength done

This morning I did 70 min. of cardio...WAHOOO!

My positive for today is that my darn zits on my face are shrinking finally -- what is up with that? I am 32 years old (I think I forget how old I am all the time) and I still get acne when stressed. UH!

Monday - 30 min treadmill (and i did my slooow jog for 16 min of that!)
Janel - the Ellies can try to stomp on us bees, BUT, we are fast and can sting :)
I did get my ST in for today but only 20 min of cardio so far......
Positive for today - I have TONS of engery when I workout...that alone is enough reason for me to get my arse outta bed in the morning!

Hi everyone! Here are my walking totals for the week. I am pretty happy that I have some "stick-to-it-ness"! I have been really busy but I have been making sure that I get my daily fitness in. I couldn't exercise Saturday because of so many things going on with the kids. I don't exercise on Sundays because of religious reasons but maybe when it gets warmer I will take a peaceful stroll. Oh! I will gladly meet your challenge Kim! Bring these mini challenges on! I will so knock them out! By the way, that is my good thing- I have stick-to-it ness!

I love that everybody is so great at participating. We may be a small group, but we have so much passion and I love that!

Some people work best with a set challenge, others work best with a free for all. So, I am going to give you a little of both. This week lets shoot for 5 30 min. cardio workouts and 2 days of strength training. We can do it!

Also, because this is some thing I think we all struggle with being overweight or not at our best - everyday you log in to post, post some thing positive about yourself.
