Hello Ladies,
I am back from my trip. Finally! My son's hockey team came in 3rd place, woo hoo! So, I was very bad this weekend. Not only did I eat pizza both nights for dinner but I drank and smoked. I haven't had a smoke since Jan. 4th. I smoked almost a whole pack myself in two nights! Got a little silly with the parents on the team, but I think I deserved a good time! I have been good all this time, and I told myself This was my reward for 20 pounds lost. So, now I am just hoping that I didn't gain any back!!

So, I will try to catch up...
I like to watch T.V., scrapbook, read, and play board games with my son. Traveling is one of my faves but we don't get to do that very often.

I am ready for this weeks challenges, I need to get my booty back in the routine of things.
ok enogh about me, I will chat with you all tomorrow!
Weigh-in here I come, AARGH!

Good afternoon ladies,
I see you are all doing great! I am sorry I have been MIA most of the week, my daughter has a part in the school play and the show is this coming Friday, so life has been extremely busy and will continue to be busy a little while longer. If this is how busy 5th graders are I can not imagine what it will be like when she is a teenager. lol.
I will weigh in tomorrow but will have little time for challenges and posting this next week. up at 4:30,to work at 6:00, Out of work at 5:30, play practice is 6-8 and still have to eat and go to bed by 9:30. Definitely one of those week to prove I can do it all and do it healthy! Wonder women has nothing on my this week. lol emoticon

I hope you all are ready for week 6! Can you believe we have come so far! emoticon

GOOD MORNING LOVELY LADIES. I have to say I was giong to skip my workout today just because I didn't feel like doing it but I am going to go for a walk. It is like a wind chill of 25 and it is chilly but sunny. I have some warm clothing that I can put on in layers, I need to do this! This is mostly a pep talk for myself.

I will post this weeks challenge later on today. I can't believe we are going into week 6!

Do you think you are doing enough or do you think you could step it up a little bit?

I have to say I KNOW I could step it up a lot! I have been battling that inner demon, I am trying to be forgiving with myself but at the same time be realistic and not a slacker.

What about you?

Hello wonderful ladies!
Sorry I was a lil MIA yesterday....very busy at work.
I was thinking about what my passion is and I really don't know. I really really really love to travel so I think that may be it. I need to plant a money tree in my back yard so that I can travel a little more. In my spare time, I read or watch TV. I do like watching movies but if I'm at home, I tend to fall asleep.
I hope you are all having a great evening!

Ladies,

What a great discussion topic Kimmie!!! Oh, my hobbies are watching TV - I love to watch ball room dancing and old movies, scrapbooking now (thanks to Kimmie),gardening and cooking. And believe it or not, going to the gym is actually become a hobbie and not just a task.

On of my passions are travel and photography, so together they make a good pair.

Marilee!!! What a great idea. Maybe whomever makes there goal first, starts the team and we start seeing the US and the world together. Wow, what a great motivation. emoticon Is that a deal?

marilee we will welcome you with open arms and healthy meals. come anytime

kimmie you can always come up here and help shovel. I got most of the driveway done today. just got back from grocery and dropping kids at grandmas. my passion is being outside. we grow a garden and I love to work in it. I also love to read and will read just about anything. My fav's are stephen king type books. tv is ok when the shows I like are on but that is getting more and more rare. i'm only 37 but I love the shows that were on when I was a kid. some of the stuff on tv now is just so rough i guess. I want to be able to watch with the kids and i am always worried about what is next. but at the same time if they don't see it here they will at school or a friends. so at least here i can explain things to them and answer questions.
My greastest passion is eating out. I love to try new restaraunts. appetizers are the best things ever created for tastebuds to bad they don't consider the arteries and waistline when making them.
i also love to travel but never seem to have the money so it is more of a pipedream for me

Hey girl!! I have loved "Hella Good" by No Doubt today...gets me going on the treadmill!! And that's from a girl who doesn't say he*@ :-) hee hee

I also LOVE to scrapbook, and do cardmaking with my leftover scraps. I am a TV junkie for certain shows (thank goodness for Tivo so I can exercise, multitask and fast forward through the crap - I mean commercials!!). I also love reading - just finished "The Guardian" by Nicholas Sparks. I am not normally a romance-y type but this was a thriller by him and I liked it. I love movies but haven't been in the theaters much since Shae was born (she is 4 now). I AM going to see my first love (Harrison Ford) when the Indy Jones 4 movie comes out.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE to travel. I want to go everywhere and do everything. After we get to goal weights, we should start a Spark group called "Maintaining and Touring the World"...hee hee

I also love to be outside. It's hard during the hot summer months in AZ, so I go visit my parents (they live in UT mountains) or travel with Todd to his tournaments around the country (his business is sports-related).

Kim, what are you scrapping tonight?

Hey ladies, I am WAY bored. It is raining and I am just hanging out at the house. It is funny I have gotten so used to just being stuck in the house that I am bored but at the same time I am a creature of habit I suppose because I have gotten used to it.

I will be around all evening checking in - I am scrappin' tonight.

What kind of things do you ladies like to do in your spare time? What is your passion?

I love to read, watch tv, and scrap in my spare time but my passion is being the best I can be and traveling.

What is your favorite song at the moment? Right now my favorite song is by Linkin Park and oldie but Goodie "Crawling in my Skin" - I heard it this morning and realized WOW this is how I have felt the last few months.

Good afternoon ladies. I am still at the hospital and am working tonight from 7p to 7a. I am getting ready to lay down, but I did get some good sleep once I got off work around midnight.

I was up at 8am, went and had some breafast (pretty healthy) and was in the gym by 9am. I goofed around in there for about 30 min, taking pictures of me and my new friend the elliptical - LOL and then started my workout. I did uppers, lowers and 50 min on the treadmill at 3-6 resistence. My normal resistence is 1. It felt good.

I took a shower, changed into some scrubs and went and had lunch. I ate a small salad, with Kraft Free thousand island dressing and my healthy choice meal. I added a fat free milk for dairy and protien with a banana. So not too bad.

Well, I am going to go chill, watch some TV and rest before tonights shift.

I will catch up on everything tonight! Wishing everyone a great, great Saturday and Sunday.

Marilee: I can't wait till they day we all get to meet you! Big Hug to you all!

Hey ladies, I didn't come around here yesterday - I'm sorry. Nothing was wrong I just didn't have a whole lot to say...imagine that.

This morning it is nasty and rainy and I had planned on walking outside, I immediately thought oh gosh I have to do a dvd but you know what I said to myself I won't melt. I put on a wind breaker that I had over my clothing with a hood. My pants, sneaks, are soaked but darn it felt to be in control. I walked for 3 miles. WOO HOO.

Last night I stayed up scrapbooking until around 2 which I never do and then I was back up at 7. I went for a walk for about 45 min. and then I went grocery shopping so here I am back and ready to get a shower to warm up and then I plan on just scrapping some more. It is cold and rainy and yucky out.

I hope you all have a great day. Are we ready for Week 6 challenge? I know I am.

Tomie, Garber, Miranna and myself are all getting together the first weekend of April let me just tell you I am stoked. I am sure we will have tons of stories and PICS to share. Speaking of which do any of you have a blog outside of this place if so PM me I would love to read! If you are interested in my blog let me know and I will send it to you.

Okay lovelies, I'm out.

ROFLOL.. emoticon You won't believe what my boss did. LOL

He was leaving for the day and asked if any of us needed anything before he left. I said yes, healthy food so I don't blow my diet. He laughed (with me). But, about an hour later he returned to the hospital with a boxes of cookies, Fruit Tray, Veggie Tray (for the staff), and 3 Healthy Choice meals for me. LOL. Wasn't that sweet?

Ladies,

You are all doing so so amazing and you should be very proud of yourself. Each of you have dedicated yourself to this travels with such great pride. Congratulations for you success!

Well, yesterday was not that good, however it was okay. Today is going to be a struggle though. We are getting some pretty heavy snow here and I live 1.5 hours from work. I am here at work right now for my normal shift and am working 16 hours 7a-11p and have to be back at 7p tomorrow night. "If" I made it home, I would definently not make it back in. They are saying we are going to get 8-17 inches. Out by me there expecting close to 17.

So, I am staying at the hospital tonight and tomorrow. The pro is that I will be working out alot tomorrow, the down side is I have to sleep at the hospital, I only have my "safe" munchies and the cafeteria is not going to be doing any "good" meals so I have options of burger, turkey burger, chicken fingers, or wedges for lunch, dinner and lunch tomorrow. Uhg!

I do have a couple V8's, Yogurts and some all-bran crackers and 2 packs of oatmeal.

Okay, enough of me! How are all of you?

boy there is alot to reply to on here. miss one day posting and I am really behind.
1) Shane's lip looks good it didn't swell alot and he only knocked the scab off one time yesterday. The doc I work for gave me a script of amox so it won't get infected. Marilee thanks for the balloons he thought they were neat but ofcourse wanted to know where they were in the house to play with.
2) challenges I did like the challenge this week, it showed me I can do this on my own. BUT i feel like Mimi if they are on here I have to do so I don't let my team down. and kinda like Annie Oakley "any thing you can do I can do too, not neccesarily better"
3) for you girls going on trips just remember that when going lower calorie your sodium really goes up even in the grilled chicken salads so be careful of that.
4) I did make up the cardio from Wend yesterday and did the strength I had scheduled so ofcourse I was to exhausted to post last night. But it was a good exhausted.
well I have a million things to get done this am so I will see ya all later
Oh lord I forget Kimmie, I have no doubt that we will see those jeans on you in April. With your strength and determination you can do anything you set your mind to. As for me I am going to be wearing the shorts I wore to Hawaii 3 years ago. They will prob be tight but I want in those shorts!

I must be one of the rare ones on the team. I actually like being able to set my own challenge as it lets me to put great focus on an area which needs work.

The fast food thing at least showed me that I'll be able to make something work on our trip to pick up and drop off my stepsons this summer. It's a two day trip, 28 hours round trip WITHOUT stops. While fast food is no longer a part of my normal life it is something I need to be prepared to handle when it is the only option I have.

Shan, just repeat this mantra:
GRILLED CHICKEN, SALAD W/ DRESSING ON THE SIDE, WATER
GRILLED CHICKEN, SALAD W/ DRESSING ON THE SIDE, WATER
GRILLED CHICKEN, SALAD W/ DRESSING ON THE SIDE, WATER
Boring? YEAH. Safe? YEAH.

My MIL LOVES to go out to dinner and loves to pick the worst-for-us places!! The above mantra is my savior :-)

Ok girls, I'm not doing so well! Yesterday I shoveled our heavy, wet 8 inches of snow, after 1/2 hour I gave up. My arms were killin me! So, after that, I didn't have the energy to do anything else. Today, I'm nervous because we are going out of town for my son's hockey tournament. We are leaving Friday at 11am until Sunday night. I suggested to my hubby that I will pack food for breakfast and lunch. So, we will be eating out only Friday and Saturday for dinner. Hopefully it is a great place with nutritious options!!! I am also still having a hard time with drinking a whole gallon of water everyday. I am, however, drinking more that normal, just not a gallon!

Also, FYI, I went to Big Boy for dinner a few weeks ago and on their menu is "Heart Smart" or "Health Smart" options, which include the calories!! emoticon

Happy Thursday ALL!!!

Tomie - poor guy! I hope the swelling has gone down!

Kimmie - WTG on being in charge! You'll be able to wear those jeans in NO time!

I think I might like a set challenge a little better. I seem to not be as motivated when I have to do my own thing. I did do my lunges and pushups yesterday as well as jogging. I skipped out on crunches and the plank though. UGH!

Have a great day!

Tomie - hope the little guy is feeling better. Don't sweat the cone or the exercise, today is a new day!

Hey ladies...we are ending up our 5th week - this week as you know you were able to chose your own challenge. Do you like that better than a set challenge? Let me know what you lovelies think?

Yesterday, I skipped out of going with a friend to scrap because I knew I had to workout last night. THis morning I got up and worked out because tonight after work I have a Design Team meeting and I won't be able to workout. I love being in control.

A couple of us are meeting in WV in a few weeks -- My goal is to wear these one pair of jeans I have...wish me luck I can't even get them over my thighs as of last weekend!

i think you are right kimmie this was eye opening.

and as for physical challenge today, i was suppose to do cardio but it has been an off evening. shane fell off kitchen chair and put his tooth through his lip. thank god I am a dental hygienist and the dentist I work for said as small as it is it don't need stitched and he will give me antibiotics for the mouth wound. then had to run car down to beechmont. ofcourse that is close to my mom's so i absolutley had to stop there so grandma could fawn over shane and his boo boo and spend 5 minutes with me. well I suppose I will have to do cardio and strength tomorow.
alright i have to be honest. got the kids ice cream, hoping the cold would help with the swelling on his lip and i had one dip witha sugar cone. I really have to make up for tonight, tomorow. I am going to be sore Friday
have a good night's rest ladies. talk to ya tomorow

good afternoon
I learned alot from researching McDonald for a decent meal. Some of this is common sense
1) smaller is healthier
2) forgo the whole packet of dressing
3) bread is not helping

but did you or I know?
a cheeseburger has 50 more calories, 3 more grams of fat, and 230 mor mg sodium than a hamburger
the mcchicken (breaded) has 360/ 16/ 790
So I thought ok the wraps will be healthierthan the Hamburger. Not necessarily true
the grilled chix wrap with ranch is 270/ 10/ 830
the grilled snack wrap with honey mustard 260/9/800
if you don't have to watch the sodium I guess you are ok.
I don't know about you all but if i am going to mickey d's I am getting fries.
the small is 250/13/140
a packet of ketchup 15/0/110
(I think i will just finish off the kids instead of my own)
If you are eating in and can get a salad watch out
the southwest with chix 400/16/1110
the southwest without chix 140/4.5/150
Caesar with grilled chicken 220/6/890
At least I can have dessert
kiddie cone 45/1/20
fruit -n- yogurt with granola 160/2/85
apple dippers with low fat dipping sauce 105/.5/35

All in all I learned
1) eat at home lol
2) order sandwiches without cheese
3) if the calories are low the sodium will be HIGH
4) if you are not eating in the car get salad but watch the dressing (the best overall is the creamy southwest, newmans own)
5) at least here I can have ice cream to make up for losing my fries
6) the most important thing I learned is this food will kill me if I let it

P.S. for those of us who have a frisch's or Big Boy in our area, they do not have any nutritional info available. I contacted corporate and was given a phone number to call for specific info. They said they can't mail or email me any info as none is available. how can they give it to me over the phone then, i wondered? I guess I will not eat there anymore. (this will drive me nuts) You would think in theis day and age ALL restaraunts would have available their nutrition info.

Good luck with all this info ladies I hope it helps us all to make better choices when forced to go to the drive thru for a "meal."

As promised, I have looked up the nutritional values for various foods at Burger King. Needless to say, what I discovered was EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE. LOL
Whopper Jr. - Cal 370, Fat 21g, Sodium 560, Carbs 31
Whopper Jr w/ Cheese - 410/24/780/32
Grilled Chicken Sandwich - 660/40/1430/52
Veggie Burger - 420/16/1100/46
Tendergrill Chicken Salad - 240/9/720/8
Fat Free Ranch - 60/0/740/15
Medium French Fry W/O salt - 360/20/380/41
medium Onion Ring - 310/15/440/37
Med Strawberry Shake - 660/19/330/111

If you have to eat at Burger King, my suggestion would be the grilled chicken salad w/ the fat free ranch. I am going to have to tell myself that when I drive past and it smells sooo good that it does not taste as good as thin feels!

Good morning all of your FANTABOULOUS ladies!
I will get the Burger King info...hopefully over my lunch today.
I am sadly reporting that I did not do many of my personal challenges last night. No excuse, but I had a rough day at work, headache, and my back was sore. I got home, did some laundry, made dinner and did dishes and by then it was 830 and I felt even worse. I decided not to push myself so that I would feel better this morning and do my running program. I'm glad I did because I was able to run .75miles straight this morning, a BIG step for me!
Anyway, I have already started my pushups and reverse lunges this morning (10 of each everytime I go to the ladies room).
Thank you ALL for the Fast Food info! I know there are days when things are so busy that fast food is the only real option and this will help each of us!!!

You ladies ROCK!!!!

For all of you who know of Sonic Fast Food, one of my all time favorites, but I may only visit there once in a blue, blue moon.

Wow, this was astonishing!

A burger with no cheese is 650 calories and 37g fat. Add Cheese and add another 90 calories and 4 g fat, make it a bacon burger and add another 110 calories and 5 more grams of fat. OMG!!

So, then I thought.. Chicken Club Toaster can't be bad, it has chicken. Oh, this was another OMG moment.

The sandwich alone is 740 calories, 46 grams of fat and 1740 mg of sodium.

Add onion rings to either of these meals and add 720 calories and 41 grams of fat. Yep for a SIDE of onion rings. Tater Tots came is at 220 calories with 14 of fat. French Fries 270 calories with 11 of fat. So the best bet if you are pushing it is french fries.

The BEST options is a Grilled Chicken Salad at 310 calories and 13 of fat, but watch the sodium of 1070. Fat free Golden Italian is a great dressing choice of 50 calories and no fat.

Want something you can eat on the run? Grilled chicken wrap is 380 calories and 11 grams of fat. Sodium is under 300.

Grilled chicken Cibatta is one of the other choices at 340 calories, 12 of fat and 990 of sodium.

Want to add a shake? Think twice, a regular vanilla shake will add another 500 + calories.

Okay.. I will stick with Taco Bell for my choice of splurge!

Ok, here's the run down on Chick-fil-a.

There are several decent meal options all under 300 calories, individually. (no sauces, dressings, etc.) Plan ahead and compensate for the cholesterol and sodium in these options.

Values are listed below as Calories/Fat/Cholesterol/Sodium

1) Chargrilled Chicken salad rings in at 180/0g/0mg/200mg (8%)
2) Southwest Chargrilled Salad comes in at 240/8g/60mg (20%)/770mg (32%)
3) Chicken nuggets 8 count is 260/13g/70mg (20%)/840mg (35%)
4) Chargrilled chicken sandwich is 270/3.5g/65mg (22%)/940mg (39%)

The best dressing options are:
1) Fat Free Honey Mustard which is 60 calories/0/0/200mg (8%)
2) Reduced fat Raspberry Vineg. in at 80/2g/0/190mg (8%)

Light Italian is only 15 calories and .5g fat but not the best option because of the sodium content: 570mg which is 24% of your daily recommended sodium maximum all in one little dressing packet.

If you're interested in a side the fruit cup is by far the best option at 70/0/0/0 or try a side salad with no dressing for 60/3g/10mg (3%)/75mg (3%)

Breakfast on your mind? Your best option is the Sunflower Multigrain Bagel at 220/3g/0/350mg (15%) or the Chick-n-minis 3 count at 280/11g/45mg (15%)/580 (24%)

The breakfast selection you might think is ok that you should avoid: Chicken, egg & cheese on sunflower multigrain bagel coming in at 500/20g/290mg (97%)/1260mg (53%). This would start your day off with nearly all your recommended cholesterol for the day in one little sandwich!

If your sweet tooth insists on dessert try out the small cone at 160/4g/15mg (5%)/80mg (3%) just be aware it contains 24g of sugar in that small cone.

Lastly, if you love chick-fil-a lemonade opt for the diet version! It has 145 less calories and 37 fewer grams of sugar.

ETA: Chick-fil-a also has a meal planner providing the nutritional total if you know ahead of time you'll be going there.

My 50's are in!
I did 30 min. with a DVD!
Still working on that water, I can't believe how hard it is for me to get a gallon in!

AND
Little Caesars Pizza
1. Tossed Salad 50 cal. 1g. fat
2. Chicken Wing (1 wing) 50 cal. 4g. fat
3. Crazy Bread (1 piece) 90 cal. 3g. fat
4. Cheese pizza (1 slice out of 10) 170 Cal. 6g. fat
5. Veggie pizza (1 slice out of 10) 190 Cal. 7g. fat
So my suggestion is to do what I did, my family wanted this for dinner, so...
I filled up on salad, ate 1 piece of cheese pizza, and 1 piece of crazy bread!
So I had 310 cal. 10g. fat
plus my fat free dressing!
The only good thing about this is you normally eat this at home, so you can add your own dressing!
But, I definately would not eat this all the time, maybe once a month!
This was fun!
Thanks I can't wait to see every place else!

Taco Bell:

I found a great link that you can actually customize your taco bell meal and get the nutritional info to fit your calorie range. I think this is great, as I know now that I can pre-plan a "safety meal" an if I get stuck where I need to buy out.

I found that a bean burrito is a safe option as it is high in fiber and filling and only is 330 calories. In comparisson, you know that pesky little bag of chips and nacho sauce? That little snack packs higher calories, double the fat and sodium is through the roof, with no fiber. Ouch, I wont be having those again.

Another thing I found is that a taco has more fat, however less calories than a burrito. They also have a fresco meal option at most taco bells, which means you get a salsa mix on top, instead of cheese and all the "Fresco" options are no higher than 9 g of fat.

Wooohooo! If you like Taco Bell, it is must to check out this website.

Hi Team:

Well my personal challenge update is that I updated it! LOL. Monday was my rest day, Tuesday I did 25 min. on the elliptical being at my target HR for 19 min and I did some interval on it, going as high as 5%.

I did 35 min upper body and love the weight assisted dip and pull up machine. It is actually fun and challenging.

I have in my gallon already and still sipping, did all my core and girly push-ups. Woohoo.. Today rocked!

I didn't do the greatest (calorie wise - actually low) however I worked night shift last night, so I slept most of the day and working day's tomorrow, so it is messing me up a little.

Okay, that was my review for today and I give myself a A-. emoticon

Okay ladies here is how the restaurant thing adds up...

Wendy’s - Marilee
The top 5 foods - the ones that can at least seem to be a "meal" - at Wendy's seem to be:
1) Caesar Side Salad w/ reduced fat creamy ranch dressing (160 calories)
2) Small chili (220 calories)
3) Jr. hamburger (230 calories)
4) Ultimate Chicken Grill Sandwich (320 calories)
5) 5-piece chicken nuggets, no sauce (230 calories)

They also have baked potatoes, but unless you get them plain, the calories are high (baked potato with ONLY butter is 320).

Chick Fil-A (Sweet Lea23)

Taco Bell (Virgogal72)

McDonald’s (TomieJean)

Burger King (KimberlyQ)

Little Caesars (DLindsay)

Can't wait to see what everybody comes up with!

Marilee,
DDR is a blast! There are arrows on the mat and the same arrows go up the tv screen and of course you have to step on the correct arrows! It was so hard when I first started. Now I am on basic (not beginner)! Gets that heart pumping and makes me sweat! I'm supposed to do 60 min. but I only did 30 min. I will try harder tomorrow!
50's are done!
Water, not so good, I only drank 1/2 of the gallon. Again, I will try harder tomorrow!!!

Marilee,
DDR is Dance,Dance,Revolution.
A video game that you dance on a pad to active the game.

This week my challenge is 30 minutes on DDR,
15 girly pushups, 25 crunches, everyday.
100oz of water and one veggie with every meal.

as soon as I do my homewrok (challenge) for mcdonalds and see teh rest of the places I will know what to eat. I am not to worried about staying on track . the girl i am going with is a model and very conscious of what she eats and how she looks. I am just hoping that after all the time in the car I feel like working out Saturday morn while she is gone. And hoping the hotel has a gym.

good evening all
I am going to follow the strength training made up by spark 3 days this week and do cardio the other days. tonight i walked 1.53 miles (outside woohoo) in 23 minutes. I can feel it too. tomorow will be strength.
I have a unplanned road trip this weekend with a coworker. we are leaving friday and coming back sat it is either an 8 hour or 12 hour trip so those two days may be bad. I am hoping the hotel has a gym that I can use Saturday.
your all's challenges are really up there. good luck to all. hope things go well

OK I have not had fast food since December. I have had Little Ceasars Pizza, yesterday as a matter of fact. Could I list those options?

AND my challenge will be to keep trying for a gallon of water every day! That was hard for me so I want to try again. I will also do 50 crunches, squats, and wall pushups. I am also in a challenge to do DDR 1 hour everyday!

GOOD MONDAY MORNING LADIES...I love that you have come in here and are committed to yourself and this challenge!

I will wait and see what kind of participation we get with the fast food joints and I will research what is left over.

Blue - Go ahead and do Taco Bell! I will try to put a list together all in one place on all of our findings!

This week - this month really I am going to really try to step things up. Okay, I'm not going to try I am going to do it.

Monday -- off
Tuesday -- walk in the evenings
50 crunches
50 Rev Crunches
50 Squats
50 wall pushups

Wed -- same as Tuesday
Thur -- same as above
Friday -- same as above
Sat -- LONGER WALK OUTSIDE
Sun -- LONGER WALK OUTSIDE

There is only one problem with this plan, I haven't checked the weather. If it is raining outside I will have to change my plans and I will let you lovelies know what it is. If Butthead I mean my roommate would leave the pass for the clubhouse I could go up there and ride the exercise bike. I won't even go there.

I'll take Chick Fil-A.

My fitness challenge this week is to make all my workouts and make them count, including the two new cardio workouts I'm adding this week as part of my personal March goals. Last week I went light on my cardio workouts and had all sorts of excuses with myself on why. This week I'm back to my more intense workouts. My mind still isn't quite back into focus so I know this is going to take focus this week and will help get me back in step with where I need to be.

I looked up Wendy's at http://www.wendys.com/food/pdf/us/nutritio
n.pdf.

On page 5 of the PDF document, it actually breaks down "sandwich components" so you can build your own burger or chicken sandwich and get the calories for each individual item. Kinda cool.

P.S. This last week, I had a little hamburger at McDonald's with my daughter. No problem including it in fat/sodium/calories, HOWEVER--I was hungry like an hour later! When I do fast food - I am going to get something that fills me up more. Dang.

Can we add Taco Bell to the group? Taco Bell is where most of this weight came from and was my staple for so long. Please?

We are going into Week 5, can you believe it? I know there are only 3 weeks after this week and it kind of makes me sad but at the same time happy because I know that I have made some great connections on this team and our support will continue even when the challenge is over. Is there a pre-summer challenge in store for us?
This week I asked for ideas and I received two....So with no further ado:
Even though fast food is not good for us, there are some times that it is imperative that we have it. Also, there are better choices to be made then others so lets equip ourselves with the 5 best choices at several restaurants so that when we go into these places we know what is the best for us! Please pick one of the restaurants listed and post so that we know what everybody is doing so that we can make sure every place is covered.

McDonald’s
Wendy’s
Chick Fil-A
Burger King
KFC

As for the physical challenge I had another member suggest that we each chose our own fitness challenge. We are all far enough along in this journey that we know that a HUGE part of this journey is mental. We have to have the right mind-set in order to succeed. We need to be able to motivate ourselves, set goals/achieve those goals.
So by Tuesday morning post what your challenging yourself to this week. We will talk about it. We can let each other know if we are being slackers and not challenging ourselves enough, if we are being over achievers and need to bump it down a little bit and most of all encourage each other.
