For Saturday - 60 minutes on the bike, all food logged. Positive - I wasn't going to work out and decided that I would spend my phone time on the bike instead of the couch!

hello
well I fell off the wagon this week and when I did the wagon kept going. I thought it would stop and wait for me to get on but it did not. I have been running to catch up and I see it in the distance. Wish me luck on catching it and maybe I can get on before kimmie gives us the next challenge.

Well ladies, today was pretty good. I went grocery shopping and didn't buy one bad thing. WOOHOOO!!!

I logged everything today and my excercise was moving some pretty heavy boxes upstairs. I did some stretching and crunches and squats.

I went to dinner with Tomie & family and had some Grouper that was great, but it didn't compare to my date (tomies daughter) and of course her Mom and Dad!

Positive: I was proud of myself for not buying one bad thing and I felt I made great choices.

I did strength training and DDR yesterday. Food was tracked.

Positive: Today my mom told me my backside looks smaller. A little embarrassing but pretty cool!

HOwdy ladies! I'm sorry I missed yesterday but I did post all of my food. I shoveled snow for 28 minutes non-stop yesterday (YUCK) and then proceeded to do some TurboJam. I got my bootay to the gym today for 45 min on the Arc trainer and 30 min upper body strength training.
Positive - I normally am bad about doing weights w/o my trainer but I pushed myself today as if she were there yelling (I mean encouraging) at me to keep goin.
Yesterday's positive - I had absolutely 0 desire to work out but I KNEW I had to do it..and with some cheering on from Kimmie, I did it!

Working out is actually good for cramps - who thunk it.

Ladies, I have failed you this week I have been a slacker. I'm sorry. Just some heavy personal crap going on and it got a hold of me for a few days.

You broads (bah ha) i love that word - are rocking out and I love it.

I got in my Curves workout today and I did some Turbo Jam (thanks to Garber). I am going to settle in with a movie. I know I know nobody asked me what the H E double hockey sticks I was doing but I decided to tell you anyways just because I can. ;)

Hey all. Okay, I worked night shift last night (7p-7a) and it kicked my bootay, but at 2:30 am I was in the gym and worked out for about 45 min. I did real good on the treadmill and I am up to 2 min on the elliptical. emoticon

I logged all my food for yesterday and my positive: I turned my self around and am pressing on.

I was thinking today that it was actually good to have a little melt down. Okay, I know that sounds weird but it was a reality check that I need to re-evaluate and reset my expectations & goal.

Positive - Monthly Visitor arrived and for the first time in my adult life, I did NOT gain my normal 2#! I chug-a-lugged the water and worked out a little extra and NO cramps.

Today's positive: O.k..it is really yesterday's but it has carried over to today - this guy I work with (but not really social with, usually only chat about work) has no idea that I am trying to lose weight. Yesterday out of the blue he made a comment about how I seem to be shrinking before his eyes. I know he is a tell-em-like-it-is kinda guy so the kind words have had me on cloud 9 ever since! Kinda cheesy but whatever works, right?

Well I tried the 10 min treadmill yesterday and could only push out 7. I think the first day back to work after over a week off had me drained. have a busy night tonight so prob won't get any in tonight either, sooo... I went to walmart on lunch and walked around there for an hour. It's not a 15/min mile but it is something. I am logging food as I eat. oh yeah I bought a new dance fit video at wally world so hopefully I will get to use it tomorow if not tonight.

Food and exercise logged - did 1/2 hour on the bike, 1/2 hour Denise Austin Trimwalk (equivalent to 2 miles at 15 min./mile), and about 1/2 hour of strength training. I was STARVING and changed my fitness goals to reflect what I have been doing. I was so happy to get some extra calories! I keep hearing Jillian Michaels' voice in my head telling me my body needs fuel.

My positive for the day: I have been wearing a step counter on advice of one of my other little mini-teams and had 13,782 steps yesterday - HOLY COW! Granted, it was a busier day than normal, but it's nice to see a big #.

Okay, I logged my food for yesterday (wasn't that pretty), but neverless it stayed in range.

I carried boxes & trunks(many of them)up stairs for about 30 min, no breaks. Boy my heart was a pump'n!

Positive: I re-arranged my kitchen and am proud that it works better and now I can feel more comfortable rattling those pot's and pan's (cooking healthy)

Hi,
I was unable to participate last week.:( I am hoping this week will be better.
I logged everything yesterday & today.
I also exercised 60 minutes yesterday & today(cardio & weights)
2 positive things. I took some "me time" for me today because I made myself important enough to take the time to do it.
Yesterday I was determined & able to accomplish what I needed to.

hi ladies.
I finally got everything I can remember from yesterday in. The calorie counter says I am low but somehow I doubt it. The mex lasagna for instance is not accurate because it was made with beef not turkey. As long as I am close I figure I am ok.
I have gotten in everything from today so far. still have to eat dinner and avoid the evening munchies (my biggest enemy)
I also have to do some cardio (not feeling it but taking advice I see o here and going for 10 min.)
My positive today is that I got to chose the place for lunch (he buys for our b-days) Instead of shrimp scampi at red lobster I went for veggie fajitas at los cabos. I ate more than I should have but it was healthy.
Dinner is done see ya all later

I logged all the food that I am going to eat today, I did my strength (50 wall pushups, squats, crunches, and bridges) for today, and my positive for today is I am sooo worth it!

WOW have I been a slacker. I am so glad to see everybody posting. I love it! I agree this process is a journey that I am so grateful to have others along it with me. Do you ladies realize that this time next year if we stay at this and continue to lean on each other we will be COMPLETELY different people. We will be transformed from the inside out. That is amazing to me.

* I know what it is like to have low self esteem, but we are working at gaining it back!

* We don't judge here we encourage and it is good to be honest not with just us but ourselves and the bottom line is that we are all going to fail some times.

WE can do this ladies, I know there are hard days. Don't ever think you are alone becasue darn it I have been there.

Hello Ladies. You are all such wonderful people and doing a great job!!
I logged in all my food yesterday and did 20 min cardio despite the fact that I kept looking at the treadmill like it was my worst enemy.
I have logged in all of my food I plan to eat today with the exception of dinner and I went to the gym this morning for a wonderful 30 min on the treadmill alternating jogging and walking.
Positive: I am a strong person with TONS of willpower. I am succeeding at this journey!

Here I make these challenges and didn't even come in here to report my positive. TomieJean, I am with you that some times it is hard to find a positive but it is all about changing our thought process.

Mondays positive for me is that I am worth all of this that I am doing for myself.

Tuesdays positive - I love how my hair turned out today.

I still have to enter the banana cake for yesterday but first i hae to get it entered into the foods.
my positive is that I am up and oh so happy today. I am going back to work after a too long vacation.
I did get in a longer cardio yesterday just not as much strength as usual but I think my muscles needed a break so I gave ti to them.
I will be back tonight I have a full day including many lunch errands.

Alright, all food logged and did my workout yesterday.

Now for today's positive: I'm proud of myself for staying on track yesterday despite a sick baby (the finishing touches of her cold) and Hubby working crazy hours. Not only did I stay on track with my eating & workout but I also managed to keep the house fairly clean and picked up. Not easy with a sick 8 month old! (I am looking forward to going back to the office today though! emoticon )

You are so dang cute! Log everything that passes between my lips huh? I will try! Despite so many things going on the one thing that I am proud to say is that I have been exercising everyday! I have even got my kids involved and we all jumped rope in my basement ! LOL

Thanks for the challenge Kimmie!!

I have a positive - after the weigh-in, I am in the land of the 260's. I have not been here in I don't know how many years. At least before 1997. I had tears on the scale today. A little silly, huh. :-)

Jenn: What an awsome comment you made about owning up and taking responsibility instead of hiding or ignoring it. That tells me how strong a woman you are, how important this is to you and that you will continue to fordge on. We will fordge on together!!

Penny: 2000 steps burns 100 calories? Wow, I didn't know that! Logging is definently a hard thing to keep up with, but I can share with you that it has made a big difference for me. It keeps one on track through the day and responsible for what goes in our bodies. You can do it!!!

Tomie: I know some other things positive: You are beautiful, your generous, kind and a girls best friend!!

Kimmie: I love this challenge. It is starting some great conversations, creating some 'Ah-ha' moments and very supportive of our mission here! Great Job girly!!

I've made good progress in being able to pick myself up after I fall and have the courage to admit I messed up rather than just not telling anyone. I'm really proud of myself for that one...it shows a willingness to be completely honest even when the truth stinks and carry on despite a temporary setback.

OK my exercise is in! I just did my new walking DVD. Come to find out it is an advanced DVD. I finished the first of 5 options. The first one is 3 miles with a stretchy band. I did the whole 3 miles in 45 minutes, and I stayed up with them!!! I can't believe I did it!

OK I'm ready to start this week off positive!

The lady I babysit for told me this morning that my diet is working, cause she can see it my face! My husband said the same thing a couple of days ago, but it's different that she said it!! I am so amped and ready to go! I am going to do my new walking DVD!

OHH and Tomie, thank you so much for your kind words! I'm OK this week!

One positive thing about me is I lost 4 pounds this week! WOOOHOOO

Tomie (Mrs Negative Nilly): Knowing you personally, there is a great deal you can be positive about. It doesn't have to be big, life moving. Even the smallest! You can do this girl!

I can start this for you: You made a healthy birthday cake for yourself yesterday, you take time to get baby girl involved in excercising with you, you lost inches and pounds - do I need to go on?

Okay ladies, I'm sorry I am a little late this morning. I got up and had to run to the grocery store before it got busy! I am off today because of the holiday -- WOO HOO!

On to the challenge...By the way I am so impressed with everybody trying to do their best. I have a feeling I lost some people last week because of various reasons so we are going to take it back to the basics this week.

I challenge you to:

* Log all your food for a week - the good the bad the ugly - if it passes your lips you record it.

* Commit to doing some sort of exercise EVERYDAY for at least 10 min.

* Come in here and write ONE positive thing about yourself EVERYDAY. If you can't log in everyday then record 2 when you do.

I am going to get the virtual walk stuff together for weeks 4-8...if you are interested and haven't signed up, please do so. I will be getting it together by Friday this week so we can get ready to go on the weekend.
