1) I learned that my when I get stressed, I need to remember my visualization techniques and take time out for me each day.

I learned I still need to heavily focus on things or else I'll find myself drifting back into old habits so I'm taking forward focus with me.

1) I learned that no matter what my family puts on my plate I do not have to eat it. Hopefully they will understand that it is for my health not because I don't like what they made or gave me.
2)This is the hardest one. I have to leave behind my control. I can not control everythng! When I can't control it I turn to food because I can control it (sorta.) what I wish to leave behind is the desire to eat when faced with stress. wish me luck I will need it.

The things I have learned this week --
1) That will carry me forward: surround myself with positive people.
2) That I want to leave behind: thinking that I have to say "yes" to everyone and everything. If I work on my own health and happiness first, it's easier to help others.
3) That the core exercises on this website really WORK YOU OVER!! (Sore abs today...ow!)

Oooo, fun! Todd and I are looking for houses this weekend. We sold at the right time but have rented for 2.5 years waiting for house prices to come down again. They are finally affordable for us again. Will be SO glad not to be renters anymore. After being owners before, we know the advantages!

I am going to Atlantic City with my mom and sister this weekend. I am planning on working out at the hotel gym or at least getting my tukas up and walking the boardwalk. I know tomorrow will be my 'cheat' day for eating but I will keep it under control...nothing like I would eat in the past.

Hello Spark Family!

Oh, it feels so good to feel normal (as normal can be after having the flu) again. I actually hated not being able to work out and eat right. It told me that my body is getting used to being treated healthy --hmmmm?

The most important factor for me is the same as Marilee's...lifestyle. This can't be a temporary change. It's currently the biggest factor for me. One day it will be natural but right now I must be purposeful in making it a lifestyle.

I think the most important aspect of a healthy lifestyle is to treat it as just that: a LIFESTYLE. I hate the word "diet" because it indicates that how you eat and exercise will change or end at some point! I didn't think this way before, but I do now!

Are you interested in your goals, or are you fully committed? Oops I didn't keep track of my fitness minutes but I did exercise all week and I did all my 50's.
Measurements:
(My 1st measurements are form 1/26 and then the losses are from today's measurements)
Bust=lost 1 inch
Waist=lost 4 inches
Butt=lost 4 inches
Neck=lost 1/2 inch

It is my turn everyone.

No change - Wooohooo!! Not a loss, but absoulutly not a gain. So that rocks.

I did loose 1/4" around my waist and 1/4# around my calfs. Strength training must be working.

Garber: Don't be bummed. You did some major cardio and strength training this last week and I bet you anything you have built up muscle and we all know muscle weighs more than fat, so you stayed the same. Have you checked for any inch loss?

Last week seemed to be a tough week for everyone on making the best choices, but remember this is a new day, new week and a new lifestyle we are working towards. Is it going to be easy - absoutly not and I think we all know that. Remember, you are making great choices and we learn for our challenges or so called 'mistakes'. You rock girl and you know that!!

A little bummed about the 0 loss...I didn't eat horribly last week, but this weekend I went out and didn't make the BEST choices...they were o.k. but not anything grand. I am going to step it up this week (I hope)

Ladies,

Today,(Monday) marks our first week in our challenge.
I want to thank each of you for being apart of this team and being a strength and inspiration for each other.

We are all here to take steps towards a healthy lifestyle. Some of those steps are easy, some are met with resistance and some with feeling of euphoria of success. But, one thing that will always be consistent is that we have each other.

Each other to share our success, our not-so-good days and the days were everything is just 'another day'. No matter what it is you have to share, no matter what time day or night, no matter where you are; YOU will have a connection to help you through the moment, the day, the week.

So please take a moment through your day and drop in and say hello. Your perfect timing that day, maybe a saving grace for another or yourself.

One last thing..........

Feel your strength, feel the motivation, feel the energy of loosing and remember IT IS FUN!!
