I usually pick 3 1000-yd sets from the following list (some are 2000 and some are 1200)

2x(5x100 free, on a time)

50 free, medium
50 free, hard
50 free, sprint) 30 seconds rest

5x100 free, 1 min rest
5x100 free, 45 sec rest
5x100 free, 30 sec rest
5x100 free, 15 sec rest
