This is a very earthy, bold tasting tea and is reminiscent of coffee. In fact it's billed as a coffee lover's favorite.

Weird thing is, I don't like or drink coffee (not counting some marvelous sugary, milky Starbucks 'is there really coffee in there' concoctions). But I do like this.

Mate is supposed to be a hunger suppressant and has the caffeine-jolt of a cup of coffee -- although there are other energy boosters besides caffeine naturally in it. Of course, this makes it a good daytime not bedtime tea!

Anyway, this particular version includes: almond bits, cactus blossoms, cornflower, sunflower petals, crushed cocoa beans, chocolate bits and some Rooibos tea.

I like it when I want something less obviously flavored along with a wakey wakey push.
