vinegar is a natural preservative, I've never heard of anyone keeping it in the fridge altho I probably would if it was an infused product (e.g.herbs or chilli in it), Once I open pickles I keep them in the fridge. But maybe this is a habit I picked up living in the tropics, can't remember what we did with them as a child.
I've often heard vinegar has health promoting properties and often heard it from pretty healthy older peple so there's probably something to it. (how's that for anecdotal!)
My daughter loves balsamic vinegar on her pasta and just with danish fetta.

Well, "up" in Canada we use regular white vinegar for pickling, and we also put it on our french fries. YUM! I wouldn't recommend that since we're all trying to lose weight! I do also use it for cleaning.

As for the original question, no I don't put vinegar in the fridge.

Vinegars do not go in the refrigerator but keep on a shelf. If they develop the film/sediment at the bottom you just need to shake that sediment up real well.

Sometimes vinegar will develop a sort of scum floating on the bottom. this is no problem. It is called The mother of Vinegar (I assume you are talking about organic apple cider vinegar because white vinegar can only be used for cleaning products like windows, shelves etc) someone told me I could make more vinegar if I had pure organic, fresh apple juice, just by using this 'Mother' but I never found out exactly how.
I have never thrown out cloudy vinegar or even kept it in the frig', and I am a hale and hearty 78. Joni

My goal is to get one pound slimmer every week until I reach 140, and then stay there forever, healthy.

I notice that my weight always comes up as Kg but believe me, I never weighed 210 Kg LOL It should be reading pounds (that is what my scale says), and I cannot seem to change it so wanted you to know. LOL

I never thought of vinegar going bad. I guess if it is moldy or discolored don't use it.

There is often a # on products to call with questions. I have done so a few t imes, but not @ vinegar. Sometimes I end up with coupons sent to me for the product I asked about.

You do not have to refrigerate it. I don't know the shelf life, it never lasts that long around my house. We use it for cleaning, cleansing hair rinse, etc.

I don't know the shelf life of vinegar and I Hope you don't have to refrigerate them, cause I never do. I don't have enough room in my fridge for the food I DO have *grins*.

Have a beautiful day!
