Back in the day, when I did use a stove (I almost caught our kitchen on fire), I used to make fried potato wedges in hot grease and would pour gravy over.

I really like your Allrecipes meat and fries dip. Simple. All ingredients compliment themselves. Or is it complement? LOL

I jotted down the ingredients.

Thank you.

When I was in the military overseas I picked up a German habit for eating french fries -- either with brown gravy atop or with mayo & black pepper.

I'm not even near perfect, but I know someone who is.

I found a recipe on Allrecipes for a meat and fries dip:

1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt

I'm not even near perfect, but I know someone who is.

I'm starting this off with a Ranch Dip recipe for us home-folks:

Mayo Dip converted for our use:

1.75C mayo + 0.25C milk
or
1C each of a) mayo + b) plain yogurt (Zero, Low, or regular Fat) _ga- more like buttermilk

then mix into that

2.5 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix (*See below)

and then add

1 Tbsp dry minced onion

1/3rd tsp garlic pwdr

1 tablespoon reconstituted lime juice (fm $tree, &c.)

2 tsp chile pwdr of choice -- paprika, red chile pwdr which is straight ground chile pepper, red chili pwdr which is for making a bowl of American chili to eat--with or without beans.)

Cover tightly and rest in fridge at least 30 min.

Now for the note I referenced in the recipe as *below

diy Ranch dressing For This Recipe:

1.3 tsp lime juice
1.5 tsp Dried Parsley
0.75 tsp Dried Dill Weed (I like to crush anise seeds for this)
0.3 tsp Dry minced onion
1.3 tsp Garlic Powder
1.3 tsp Onion Powder
0.25 tsp Salt (sea or kosher preferred)
0.25 tsp Ground Black Pepper

As ever in my recipes the following are commonplace:

0.25 is 1/4 0.3 is 1/3 0.5 is 1/2 0.75 is 3/4 1 is 1

tsp is teaspoon Tbsp is tablespoon C is cup

pwdr is powder Bkg is baking Pkg is package

grass is brown or green, but sometimes yellow. hahaha humor alert

We're adults now, we don't need anyone's permission to play with our food!

If you don't have all the ingredients, just wing it with what you have. It might not taste like Ranch, but so what. It tastes like it tastes. You might even add a splash of soy, Maggi seasoning, catsup, yellow mustard, honey, maple syrup (real or imitation), allspice, shredded citrus peel, the sky is the limit. You might come up with a new craze! Woo Hoo
