I have thought about trying out some other video from the libary. I think a Richard Simmons one would be fun and I can really remember the music! Okay, I know I am dating myself if I can remember all the music he uses in"Sweating To The Oldies" but what the heck. It might just be the kick I need to get going again!

I have all the videos saved, so I'll do that program again at some point. But I just got a new program: The Firm TransFIRMation with 4 DVDs and cute pink weights all in a pink case.

I've started the videos and they are approximately 55 minutes long. I haven't made it all the way through yet, but I'll keep going until I've mastered it.

I thought since I did the Swimsuit videos for a month I should get in a change of routine to prevent any more plateaus.

I have managed to do all the video's, some better than others. I do modify a few of the exercises or do the easier ones that Nicole suggests.
I have had a bad week as far as getting out to exercise. I do try to walk every day, but I need to do more. Today we had a pig-out at work, and I guess I did not do to good at avoiding all the food. Tomorrow we are moving our daughter to a bigger apartment, so that should be a little more workout to burn off some of the calories I had today.

Hey ya'll. Yeah I definitely slacked on this. Which is very disappointing. But I'm almost all caught up on the videos this week. *shakes head* I wish I would have done better. FV, while I use the add video button, I also add all the video exercises individually, using the print out page (of course they're all saved now, so one click of the button adds all the exercises in a particular video), so I get credit for all 10 points available for strength training.

I think you are right about that. I looked and all my routine is there for tomorrow. I will wait until tomorrow and add the video and see what happens. I have the videos listed in the user entered area also so if things get messed up and can do it one by one.

Catnips, I will try both of those ideas. I was adding the videos as soon as the e-mail would come out so I will try and add it the same day. And I will change the settings to user entered and see what happens. I don't have problems adding the videos it just that it was erasing my strength training routines.

FVHorvath, I changed my SP generated strength exercises to user created for the duration. I have no problem adding the video exercises.

I don't understand why you do because even when I had SP generated exercises, I could still add my own exercises.

Could it have something to do with the fact that you're adding it to the next day? Does it happen when you add it to the same day?

I am still doing Bootcamp and enjoying it. I have to make up a vid or two each week as I have been away from the gym for a few days. On Monday, I did the legs video along with a step class and lots of lunges, squats in there too. I can hardly move today. My quads are SO sore and tight. I missed my workout today which is probably contributing to it. I do plan to catch up tomorrow....if I can walk! ;)

I am having a problem with adding the bootcamp videos to my routine. I click the link to add it to the next day and it does go there but if I have strenght training scheduled it deletes it. I do click the place where it says add it to my routine.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

I have got the video done for today and the cardio is always pretty much a breeze for me. The only time that I have a rough time getting it in is when the weather is not so good. I am a walker so I am out almost daily walking. On the days I am not walking I am usually mowing grass so I still get in the cardio.

I have been doing the video's everyday. Also doing the cardio every day.I have also been tracking them in the goals and now with the fitness tracker that they added. Working on jogging about 2/3rds of the time I walk at lunch time.

Wow. I got so far behind this week it was bad. *shakes head* I still think I need an hour workout to get caught up. Or maybe an hour an 10 minutes? *Shrugs* And I haven't done today's workout yet. But I just got caught up on Monday-Fridays so...And I totally did yesterday's bonus challenge. Yay! =)

Now time for a shower and lunch and then I can do today's exercises and be all caught up.

P.S. Day 5 and those leg circles are still sooooo hard. I did much better on Day 6 this week though, so that's still good. =)

I forgot to post the workout yesterday and have not gooten todays done yet. DH is home (his day off) and that always throws me schedule for a loop as he thinks I don't have anything to do except sit and watch TV with him or visit his Mom. I would like to send him there by himself so I can get my exercise and workouts done!

So I did day 7 video and that wasn't too bad. I'm still 20 minutes behind on cardio since I only got 10 in on Friday. And I can't get the day 1 video to work. Like it just shows up as a blank screen on both sparkpeople and youtube. Weird. I'll try again later. Or I guess I could try to follow the print out, but I don't think I'd be very good at it... Anywho, hope everyone else is doing alright! =)

UPDATE: Okay, got Day 1 video to work so I'm all caught up except for that 20 minutes of cardio. =)

Took a study break to do day 6 video. It wasn't too bad except the whole backward stretch ones. I kinda sucked at that. Oh well. Hopefully by the end of the month I'll be an expert. ;) Still need to get my cardio in, but I'm not too worried about it. I'll definitely do at least one of my 10 minute pilates workouts and then I might do one of the cardio videos on here. *Shrugs* Keep up the good work everyone!!

To my surprise I found Day 5 somewhat difficult! I used to do lots of pilates and have not in some time and really think that makes a big difference on the ab/adductor moves. But I made it through. Was sick Thursday and still struggling through a cold so did both Day 5 & Day 6 today. I love the upper body workouts. Also, did 50 minutes of step aerobics and 25 minutes on the EJ. Had to make up for missing Thursday. I think I might be sore tomorrow....but that is A-OK! On to Day 7!

PS: To previous poster...If you want to elevate the difficulty, do more sets or reps. I have been doing that on some vids that I find easier and it makes a big difference if I increase the reps and/or weight. Good Luck All

Day 6 done. Made up for the lost cardio of Wed with one hour last night - Jog/walk while kids at soccer practice. I see we go back to Day 1 video on Sunday. Was hoping they would get longer and harder as time went on.

Just finished Day 6 along with me regular routine for strength training. Day 6 was easier to me then Day 5. But will keep trying to do more on Day 5 so that I can at least get through 1 set of those exercises with out it causeing to much discomfort. I have been told that even with the back injury that I have I should keep exercising and that will help strengthen it so that I do not sufferas much paon as I usually do. I keep trying and sometimes it does help.

I just finished the day 5 video. Those leg circles were a killer. I have joint problems and it really bugged my knee. But other than that the rest wasn't too bad. I liked the stretches at the end. I took a Yoga class last semester and those were some of my favorite stretches that we did. (Besides of course Childs Pose which is my all-time fav!)

Update: Just finished my cardio too! =)

Day 5 was the hardest for me and I could not do all the reps but did do atleast some of all of them and it took me a lot longer then the prevoius days. I have an injury to my back which makes it real hard to do some things but I hope a little exercise will help and not hurt it.

i have got 20 minutes of the cardoi in and plan to walk in place while watching the News tonight so I will have my 30 minutes in.

I did the day 4 video this morning and I really liked this one. I thought about adding some of the exercises to my regular routine. The cardoi I have done at home since it has been raining outdoors all day. Walked from room to room and marched through the news. I got my veggies in between the chop suey (homemade with lots of veggies) for lunch a baked potatoe & salad for supper.

I am loving the Bootcamp this week so far.

Hey guys. I'm definitely in on the bootcamp thing. But I'm still not caught up all the way. I have to finish my cardio and the video for today. Due to all the work due the last two days of classes (Monday and Tuesday) I kind of did the videos on the wrong days. LoL. But now I'm all set to be doing everything on the right days. Yay. I definitely like it so far. I'm kind of sad I can't do today's veggie challenge though. I don't have an veggies to eat on campus. Fruit I've got tons of, but no veggies. Oh well. I have done all three video's and hope I have posted them in the correct places. I really like doing the challenges, it keeps me more motivated.
I am trying to get different exercises also so it doesn't get to be such a routine.

I am enjoying the program andit has showed me a lot of different exercises that I was a bit afraird to try can be done. Maybe it is because I have been exercising for the past 3 months and have gotten stronger. Who know but I think I am going to change some of the exercising in my regular routine to some of the ones in the videos.

I entered both day 2 as Bootcamp day 2 and have done day 3 the same. I never tought about entering the excerises separtly for the points. But that is a good idea.

I have got Day 3 done and most was fairly easy. I was a bit afraid on the chair slipping on the Tricep Dip and I used Wall Pushups instead of the modified Pushup. I can't use my knees as they will "pop out" and then I would not be walking. emoticon

Day 1 vid goes into cardio, day 2 strenght. You can enter the exercises individually as suggested or do it manually as 'Swimsuit Day 2 Video-lower body' one rep, thats what I did.

Jayne, I entered the day 1 cardio video as low impact aerobics, 10 mins, in my cardio tracker.

For the day 2 video, I used the printout to enter each exercise in my strength training tracker. That way I get a SparkPoint for each exercise entered while I'm reporting my completion of the challenge.

Is it listed under strength training or low impact aerobics. This is getting confusing as far as posting. I have just been putting things in my fitness tracker. Maybe I am doing it wrong.

Yes. I am doing this one too. Not starting off very well unfortunately. I have dial up as well, so everything takes forever. I did my regular cardio today and will officially start the "bootcamp" vids Tuesday. And I agree with other members about this thread. It will be helpful as the other one is SO LARGE! Thank you. e.

After being unable to load Day 1, last night I set the computer for no mail and no screensaver (to avoid using extra bandwidth), started the Day 2 video on the Spark site, clicked on download to RealPlayer, closed the video on Spark site, and went to bed.

This morning I found the familiar popup: RealPlayer had to close--Send or Don't Send error report. Just before I clicked Don't Send, I decided to try to play RealPlayer. I clicked Play and it worked and actually recorded the whole workout.

Since I wasn't sure if it was saved, I decided I'd better do the exercises immediately--even before I had my breakfast (and I never exercise right after I wake). Well it worked fine, I got my Day 2 exercises done and am set for the day.

I closed RP and opened it again to see if the workout was still there: it was. So now I have hope for recording Day 3 (and I'll try Day 1 again). It's so much better to work with the video than a printout. But the printout was handy for entering the exercises in my fitness tracker.

I really think I'm gonna get this Bootcamp done. I hope everyone else is succeeding! It's such a great feeling of accomplishment! emoticon

I thought Day 2 was easier also,but the problem I am having is where to log this workout. Should it be with the strenght or a light areobics? Any ideas on this? I have checked the Bootcamp team and they are having the same problem. Nobody know what to log it under.

Hi all Bootcampers
I did Day 2 this am and I too thought it was easier than Day 1. I might do one of the other lower body videos to offset. Going to jog/walk while at daughter's soccer practice tonight for cardio. I think I'll benefit from the 5 days of cardio more than the videos.

Just done day twos video, it was good, not as hard as yesterday I didn't think,(but thats ok!) despite the fact my legs are sore from yesterdays!

Also went for 60 min run and have had 2 fruit portions so far! Only one to go!

well its day two and i'm sore from day 1! My back is sore and my inner thighs hurt! Going to head out for a run this morning and get my cardio done then try the video later, good luck girls!

Jayne, it took me a while to get my coordination during the video aswell. what help for me was not trying to keep up with her or do it at the same time. I just got the move and did it in my own rhythm until she said stop.

I spent hours Saturday trying to load the video. It quits halfway through and tells me it's done. I had to do the first half using the video and the second half using the printout.

I'm going to try again with the next video. I'm really psyched to get in shape for summer. I think the bootcamp was a great idea.

I did the video, it was hard and I felt really uncoordinated. Will just keep plugging along. I got a hike in and mowed some lawn also.

I got the video workout done earier this morning and also thought is was more than I thought it would be. Got in my cardio by walking and delivering all my Avon books! 70 minutes for cardio! emoticon

I joined in on the fun also. I will check out the video on my main computer and see how it goes. It will help get some new exercises in. I also just joined a new fitness club in our area to get some circuit training. emoticon

I am in on the Bootcamp. Although due to still being on dail-up I am using the printable workout.

I have tried to load the video both on SP and YouTube and neither works. Only gets me to the second exercise.

I think it's a graet idea to have this here to chat about the workouts. The Bootcamp team is really big and has a lot of threads that repeat themselves so this here will be helpful to all of us! Thanks for setting this thread up!

It consisits of 4 weeks of
Sunday: Do the "Day 1 Workout Video" (cardio)

Monday: Do the "Day 2 Workout Video" (lower body) + 30 minutes cardio of your choice

Tuesday: Do the "Day 3 Workout Video" (upper body) + 30 minutes cardio of your choice

Wednesday: Do the "Day 4 Workout Video" (core/abs) + 30 minutes cardio of your choice

Thursday: Do the "Day 5 Workout Video" (lower body) + 30 minutes cardio of your choice

Friday: Do the "Day 6 Workout Video" (upper body) + 30 minutes cardio of your choice

Saturday: Do the "Day 7 Workout Video" (core/abs)

In addition to this plan, they'll post daily bonus challenges and tips that are optional.

I was hoping some people on here would be doing it so we can chat here. I find it difficult in giant teams no-one really responds to what other people are saying!
