Hang in there!! I had lost 60 pounds with SP when I was diagnosed with stage I invasive bc. After surgery and radiation (thankfully no chemo necessary) with long-term oral aromatase inhibitors I put back on 20 of those pounds but have now re-lost 10 and am working on those last 10. I'm at the gym strength training 3x/week, ride my bike an average of 10 miles/day, and paddle with a dragon boat team comprised of breast cancer survivors (we compete and have won medals). You've already shown you can be strong and focused - keep going and you will get through this as well.

I was a faithful Spark team member and lost 30 pounds. Then during a yearly mammogram they found a 0 stage DCIS in my left breast and 3 suspicious areas in the right {found by MRI} I wanted to be sure as I had never had anything but cysts in the left always benign. After days and a week or so of testing I had to have a radical left mastectomy with axillary nodes removed. on March 8 Recovery is not so bad but the fear of the possibility pf chemo has me eating sweets because "I deserve special" for all I have been through. 3 biopsies in the left as well as the mastectomy but 3 ultrasounds with 3 biopsies an Mri and an MRI biopsy needle location in 2 areas and 2 open biopsies on the right .I live alone but have family, friends and therapist for support..I have not been able to exercise yet due to lymphedema. Hoping to get back to it and spark people food program soon.
