Please check out Seventh Generation, Burt's Bees and Origins Makeup. Walgreen's carries Seventh Generation and I have gotten their 15 oz shower gel for 3.99. I grab everyone they have when it is on sale. Same for Burt's Bees. They had the $18 acne wash (yes 55 and still dealing with that little devil) for 4.99. I have never seen these advertised but I am in the store a lot and never leave before checking to see if they are on sale. Check out Seventh Generation website. They have a lot of stuff.

I used Origins for years and then started using Bare Essentials. I went back to Origins as they have a better track record and a lot more products to choose from and the prices are comparable.

I threw out everything that I had been using 4 months ago, and it was a lot and most of it was pretty expensive. I checked out the products below and they are paraben free but sometimes these guys will reformulate and put them in. I now only use Seventh Generation skincare, body wash and lotion as well as many other products, Kiss My Face products, Burt's Bees, Origins makeup, Greenscape Organic Olive Moisturizing Shower Gel on my face (oooh the compliments I get), J.R. Watkins products, Meyer's, Dr. Bonner's, MyChelle, Nature's Gate, Jasons, Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel (most Garnier products contain parabens, this does not).

Oops, I forgot, that I have been using Crystal Body deodorant for over 20 years.

Love this thread.

We are lucky that a local company, Ava Anderson Non-Toxic, provides us with skin products & sunscreens to distribute to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients and to survivors at our events. If you're interested in products, designed by a 14 yo who is now 18 and CEO of her own company, visit http://www.avaandersonnontoxic.com/default

I am using either neutrogena (foundation) avon products.
I do however use the deordant for breast cancer patients(can't think of the name of it).
here in Shelby I have 2 local people that make all natural supplies, laundry det, deordant, lip blam , shampoo & I use that too. I am trying to use all I have here at home first before buying more, however I have thrown alot of makeup & other stuff out.
I know what u are talking about in the chemicals they put in stuff. I am very wary on things... because my Breast cancer is classified as more environmental - not herediatary.

Since being diagnosed with breast cancer, I've become concerned about the chemicals I had been putting on my body though my makeup etc. I switched deodorants to a natural crystal and only use that when I think I'm going to be hot and sweaty. Turns out plain old soap and water every day works pretty good for me most days.

I've been doing some research on sunblocks and makeup but I haven't settled on brands there yet. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have discovered that coconut oil makes an excellent moisturizer. I figure if it's safe to eat it, it's safe to put on my skin!
