Caro is right! Get thee to a Dr., clinic, hospital ER, something. You don't want to lose your feet or legs!!! What medication are you on? There is a grocery chain around here, and you can get your diabetic medication free! If you have a Giant Eagle near you, check it out.... Please!!!

Beat the bushes until you find someone to help you. Is there a free clinic or Catholic charities in the area? Maybe a church willing to assist. Most of the time you do not have to belong for assistance. There are ways to get what you need. My pharmacy has cards for people who do not have insurance and cannot afford your meds. Just remember this... You Are Worth It!!! Take care of yourselves. Do what ever you need to do to take care of your health issues. Start asking questions. There is help out there. You just have to ask. You will feel so much better about yourself and life in general when you are taking care of yourself. Good Luck we are pulling for you. emoticon emoticon

Emily, we ALL get into these situations. Sometimes it all just seems too hard. But I can do it. You can do it. Like Frieda said, one step at a time. You also might need to have your doctor check to see if you need medication. Perhaps you are clinically depressed and need medicine to balance you out. Or maybe low thyroid leaves you with no enthusiasm and no energy. I take thyroid every day, and have more energy and determination.

Frieda, please, please, take your diabetes medicine! Find help. Maybe the government or maybe a local church can help you afford the medicine. Ask the pharmacist. If your feet are discolored, go to the doctor, the ER, the Urgent Care Center-- you can't afford to lose your feet!!

I am out also, you know sometimes we have to choose between feeding the family, or sorry to say, our medication. I don't think we are "setting ourselves up" there are circumstances, which at times are out of our control. I am also out of my Diabetes medication, and I've noticed discoloration on my feet, again. Cheer up, start tracking, try to move more basically get the ball rolling. Use baby steps and before you know it you will be in control. Freida

Hi, I'm Emily...I have been out of tx for almost 2 years now...I am overweight and don't exercise...I need to take charge and cut back the risk of a reoccurrance. I feel like I set myself up to fail...does anyone else seem to have these issues?
