I have always had half cup of tomato juice at breakfast. A hot cereal goes with it. Variety in the cereal served keeps each day different. A variety of sweeteners (br. sugar, raw honey, molasses, or real maple syrup) gives each morning a change.

I am the "on up" age. We've gotten out of the habit of supplements but I have them on my grocery list so we can start taking them again. They are like insurance. The ones that build up in our system need watching, but many vitamins and minerals don't build up like others do. We are careful to have the 3 essential fatty acids.

I've learned to get my vitamins for the day so I can do my chosen exercise routine without getting kinks afterward. Some vitamin supplements are too expensive for me, so I choose individual ones that I know I need since I can't eat as much of the foods to get the amount recommended for me by my doctor and nurses.

North American exercise & 3 square meals team leader.

I believe that I am less likely to procrastinate if I change my "wish" to "will", my "like to" to "try to", and my "have to" to "want to".

I take a One a Day and have done that ever since high school. I have notes to myself on the table of what to eat and when. First I looked into what my body needs at my age and weight. Every day when I eat the right thing at the right time I make a check mark on my list.

Good Ideas. I sometimes run a little low on protean. But take my multi vit every day. Also try to have my Soy milk. This seems to work for me. Like you say we all have to find our path.

Women are living much longer these days so the vitamins, minerals, etc. probably are the same as at the 75 yr. suggestions. Exercise plays a key role at any age but be careful and ask your doctor or nurse for advice.

Mrs. Santa uses this basic rule of vitamins every day, in foods and supplements (from Adele Davis)
58 grams Protein
800 mg calcium
10 mg iron
5,000 U. vitamin A & 400 U vitamin D
0.8 mg B1
1.2 mg B2
13 mg niacin
70 mg vitamin C
