TEN THINGS I WANT TO ACCOMPLISH DURING THE 5% SUMMER CHALLENGE

These 10 reasons are not in any particular order:

1 - Lose 9 lbs. emoticon
2 - Fit into a size 10 - emoticon I managed to fit into a size 12 by the end of the spring challenge!
3 - Walk a 5k by the end of summer emoticon
4 - Lose 5 inches overall emoticon
5 - Become consistent with exercise - Follow my schedule emoticon
6 - Use the gym at least 4 times a week emoticon
7 - Feel comfortable in a bathing suit emoticon
8 - Get a minumum of 6 hrs of sleep/night emoticon
9 - Track ALL my food emoticon

1. To improve my overall health... mentally, physically, spiritually.

I have pleurisy, 2 types of anemia, macrocytic anemia, Iron deficiency anemia, from blood transfusions with wrong antibodies, causes blood to replace daily instead of 100 days, chronic pneumonia, pleurisy, chronic kidney disease, a partially collapsed lung, low blood pressure & blood clots in both lungs for 3 years. Now formed scar tissue.I am 56 years old. I had cervical cancer 6 years ago, no signs last 4 years as well. I have new blood clots now,2019.I am on P.S.T. time zone.

I am scheduled for surgery in October and need to be at least 30 pounds lighter.
Reduce my risk of future cancer.
Lower my blood pressure.
Get rid of clothes I have now that I don't like too much.
Look better.
More energy.
Less time spent 'thinking' about it, more time actually 'doing' it.
Be a better role model for my family.
Have fun doing new things.
Keep up with my family and friends

10 reasons why I want to lose weight:

1. Lose excess fat and regain some muscle strength
2. Better stamina so I can go hiking farther
3. Fit into clothes that I will feel awesome wearing
4. Less weight for my old knees to pack around
5. Reduce my blood pressure to normal limits without having to use pills
6. Sleep better
7. Go someplace and not be the fattest person in the room
8. Not shy away when someone brings out the camera
9. Look better riding my motorcycle and have better endurance
10. I have a teenage grandson that is obese and I want to set a healthy example for him

This is always a hard question for me to answer because the truest answer would be 'because I want to.' But that said, here are some of my reasons:

I want
1) to avoid having knee replacement on my second knee for as long as possible
2) my clothes to fit comfortably
3) to look at myself in the mirrors at the gym and be happy with what I see
4) to be the healthiest I can be
5) to wean myself off all my medications
6) to be around to enjoy my children and grandchildren for a long time
7) my life to have meaning and purpose
8) to be proud of myself
9) to have more energy throughout the day
10) to take long walks with Daisy every day

2018 Summer 5% Challenge Community Motivational 6

Today's assignment is to list 10 reasons you want to lose weight. I have more than ten. I want to change many things. What do you want to change? How do you want to look? How do you want to feel? What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body? And list all the OTHER things that you want to change!

Here are reasons WHY I want to change and want to reach and maintain my goal weight:
Be as healthy as possible and feel better physically.
Lower my blood pressure and get off blood pressure medicines.
Feel more confident and have self-respect.
Able to move more freely.
Be physically fit.
To have more energy and live a fulfilling life.
Avoid looking for sturdy chairs without arms.
Be a role model for my grandchildren.
Take walks with Hubby and dog.
To walk without a cane or a walker.
To stride or saunter instead of struggling, slogging or waddling.
To exercise and still be able to breathe.
To do yoga, dance or Zumba.
Have my long neck back and only one chin.
Cross my legs at the knee.
Get into and out of the bathtub.
Get up and down off the floor with ease.
Improved appearance.
To have stronger muscles.
Shop anywhere for attractive clothing that I like.
Wear a swimsuit or skinny dip instead of chunky dunking.
Wearing clothing that fits.
Feel proud of myself.
Look into the mirror with confidence.
Avoid becoming a diabetic.
I want to live longer than my siblings and parents.
Have photos taken and feel like smiling.
Feel feminine, sexy and have sex with ease.
Able to do my own toenails.
To turn over easily in bed.

Think of yourself reading this list at the end of the Challenge, and have accomplished your goals! Because I have a very long journey ahead, I will not have accomplished all of my goals. I will have made positive changes toward all of them.

Ten reasons I want to lose weight.

1. To be the healthiest.version of myself.
2. To be able to handle the constant caregiving of my husband.
3. To stay strong.
4. To look better with and without clothes.
5. To be able to handle whatever life throws at me without anxiety.
6. To show the world that you can age gracefully without fitting into their idea of what the elderly are like.
7. To know that the main reason I am doing this is for me, myself, and I.
8. To get rid of the layer of fat that makes me crazy.
9. Less weight means better workouts.
10. To show my grandchildren that Grandma is not a slouch or a couch potato.

1. So my bones won't ache.
2. To stay cancer free
3. So my clothes will fit better
4. So I can buy a smaller size
5 . To be healthier
6 . To avoid diabetes
7. To look in a mirror and like myself
8. To have more stamina and energy
9. So yoga postures will be easier
10. To feel a sense of accomplishment

10 reasons I want to lose weight

1. Lower my cholesterol as much as possible without meds
2. Be gentle with my joints
3. Fit normally in most of my size 8 clothes
4. Feel and be as healthy as possible
5. Be proud of myself
6. Look good according to my standards

. What do you want to change? My dress size to fit an expensive dress I’ve only worn once
How do you want to look? Comment worthy
How do you want to feel? On top of the world
What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body? Climb that hill more easily
And list all the OTHER things that you want to change!

2 To just have curves where they ought to be
3 To continue to be able to be actively there for mum, Anne, Margaret and the church
