My "safe sex" was getting hubby fixed. I've been stable long enough now that sexual promiscuity is no longer an issue for me.

Today's Coping Skill is "Take good care of your body- healthy eating, exercise, safe sex". It's important to take care of ourselves to feel good! I know it's hard when you are depressed, but sometimes getting up and taking a shower, having a good lunch (because face it- when you are depressed who's getting up in time for breakfast?), and maybe go for a walk. Safe sex is also important because you want to be careful with not only who you have sex with, but also using condoms to prevent your body from harm.

Personal note from Rissa: I struggle with cleaning my room and showers. And exercise. I can do healthy eating and safe sex (abstinence), but some of the basics are hard for someone who's chronically depressed. I need to take this one to heart!
