no matter who you are i'd say a minimum of 8 glasses of water. and i use powerade zero when i feel yucky...i know there is sweetener but sometimes i'd rather lose a headache than a pound!

I'm glad you made an appointment.

Have a doc apt Monday. In the meantime I sucked down three 32 oz bottles of Power Ade Zero. I know, not the healthiest option but MAJOR improvement in how I feel. Palpitations all but gone. I normally drink 8 - 12 glasses of water every day but diet was low on potassium. How much water is needed on keto? I now know I have to keep a much closer eye on the electrolytes. Will see what doc says on Monday.

Agreed. You need to see/speak to your physician.

You need to call your doctor. None of us are qualified to give medical advice. Don't let this go!

If your doc says its electrolytes I can give some suggestions that work for many...but not until you get medical clearance on this.

Can someone please tell me how long it took for the awful palpitations to go away? I could swear there was an earlier post here on that topic but it seems to have vanished. It's been 5 days with this symptom now and I am about to give up on this lifestyle if this doesn't get better. I am in ketosis (1.5 blood at fasting), blood glucose has dropped to normal levels (3 weeks in this time around - fell off the wagon for a couple weeks during the holidays due too many gifts of wine!) Weight is up and down, I am watching salt and taking magnesium but not getting enough potassium. May have to try a sugar-free electrolyte drink because I cannot tolerate standing still and having my heart racing at 110 bpm! And not happy that my weight is creeping back up. May be too few calories?
