Several of my favorites are
Schindler’s List
Up
Steel Magnolias
On Golden Pond
Hunger Games trilogy
The Book of John (NT)
Phantom of the Opera
To Kill a Mockingbird
The Scarlet and the Black
Freedom Writers

I prefer story lines where the characters are well developed and they speak to the best in us even in the midst of horrible circumstances. Especially like it when they focus on real people.

I had this aunt and uncle that would take my sister and I to stay at their home for several days each summer when we were young. They treated us royally. So of course we enjoyed going over there. Think so of it was they had 3 sons and no daughters, and enjoyed having girls in the house.

this one is tough for me. My dad was in the Navy so we moved a handful of times, but i do know that in the last place we moved to, the AuSable River became my life force. I would take the dog for a walk down Rayburn trail and just be lost in the woods and the touch of the water would instantly bring joy.

My aunt and uncle lived on a farm in Kansas when I was young. My grandmother lived with them so we always spent a few days there in the summer. They had milk cows and chickens so we got to watch them separate the milk from the cream, go to gather the eggs and slop the hogs. It was such a change from living in town that made it so much fun. Many years later my husband and I bought a small farm and I didn't think it was that much fun then!!! We didn't milk cows but we had cattle, hogs and sheep, not all at the same time, thank goodness.

…:::TUESDAY'S QUESTION:

Do you have any special childhood remembrances of places you 'got away" to that left a sweet memory? …

Yes, I do. In Junior high, my BF's family had a cabin in the woods. It was called "Lettuce Loaf' and I loved going there! … I can still remember the woodsy smells; My friend and I would go hiking or ride her horse, "Bucky." … It was the first time (but not last LOL) for me to get bucked off a horse! … we got up early, stayed up late, telling stories and it was a delight being out in nature!

My mom meant to name me for a Greek goddess, but she named me for a Roman goddess instead(!)

There were 5 Dianas in my fifth grade class.

I don't mind my name, but I strongly dislike being called Diane. When people cannot remember my name, they often call me Kathy(?)

When I was a kid and we played pretend, I usually chose the name Sabrina. But as an adult, if I could choose an alter ego, I guess I'd like to be called Kate.

I would not have chosen Charlene. I am named after my mother and when I was I kid I thought I was supposed to be exactly like her. She is a great person, but I think my child interpretation of the name kept me from exploring my own personality.

I would have love the name Julia.

I subscribe to Plan to Eat-- and love it! I just drag and drop my meals to a calendar and that's it! It even generates a shopping list (on my phone or printable).

Before I left for vacay I made 25 more freezer meals (9 diff meals) so when we go home so DH can cut the grass I bring more back to our little camper freezer.

Since the freezer full of meals I made for post surgery worked out so great, I just might cook like that all the time. 2 days of cooking--25 dinners I love it!

I forgot to mention: Every Thursday is my morning to drive out to two Organic Produce farms.
I get loads of fresh vegetables and wonderful lettuces-such a variety. I have preservers for veggies so they stay fresh for a week; but the lettuce gets eaten quickly as a huge green salad is eaten every day. ……… emoticon .. emoticon … emoticon 'n more!

I'm afraid we are way too spontaneous around here. My hubby loves to cook so he pretty much picks what we are eating, he asks me if it's ok first. If it isn't exactly good for weight loss then I just don't eat as much of the main course and I add a big salad to it or a couple kinds of veggies. He is very thin and eats anything he wants, he is a grazer most of the time.

Somewhat spontaneous. I usually have a plan for 3 days or so in advance, but I only track once I've actually had the meal or snack. I keep a full freezer (actually two and a half) so I can change my mind at any time -- just have to pick up fresh fruits and/or veggies if needed.

…..::::QUESTION emoticon Of The DAY …:::

…:: Are you spontaneous day to day or do you keep some kind of meal planner .. emoticon

I typically plan meals for the week to be aware of nutrition, calorie counts, and like to stay within a budget as well. Planning helps me achieve this and for myself, I track foods for the week. (Of course it is easy to change when necessary) ..
