emoticon This morning I walked in the East Gate Foundation 5k, which honored My Husband as the Guest Of Honor. They raise money to help local Patient's who are battling major illnesses, and they have helped us out several times since my husband was diagnosed with Colon Cancer 2 years ago.
emoticon This afternoon I went to the Gym and did 10.25 Miles on the Recumbent Bike.
emoticon My Knees are Not Happy, but they actually aren't hurting as much I expected. Tylenol and Ben-Gay are My Friends.

emoticon Depending on how the Weather acts, I will either be walking with Leslie or walking the neighborhood later.
emoticon My daily Average Steps are around 14,000-16,000, but I'm aiming for 20,000 today in order to complete my Library "Exercise Your Mind, Read" Challenge week early.

emoticon The general recommendation is to aim for at least 10,000 Steps a Day. That may or may not be a reasonable goal for you right now.
When I joined Curves back in 2009, the Trainers told me Over and Over that I needed to be Walking in addition to the Workout. I told them that walking in to the Gym and doing the 30 Minute Circuit was as much as I could do. But ... eventually, I started parking further from the door, and walking a Lap or Two around the Store or Parking Lot when I went in to buy groceries. Before I joined Curves, I was not even doing my own Grocery Shopping.
emoticon Nowadays, I average about 14,000 Steps a Day, including my 50 Minute Treadmill or Recumbent Bike Workout.
emoticon Set your own Goal for Steps per day, and work to increase it gradually. Share your Goals here so that we can cheer each other on, and Celebrate as you meet those Goals.
