Time to start thinking about our November challenge ... with the holidays approaching we need all the ammunition we can get. If we go for another challenge in November, and then again in December ... it just might be what we need to make it through the holiday season with little or no damage.

So start thinking about team names, themes etc ... and let's get ready for the holidays!

I'm putting out a challenge for our teams (those not on teams are welcome too!)... let's see how many can really rack up the points on our Erie Sparkers Team Leader Boards!

I'm not sure how many of you even look at the point totals ... go to the Erie Sparker Team page ... at the top you will find some team info ... one of the boxes you can click on is the "See Team Leaders" it is a listing off all the team members that are currently earning points, and their totals for October.

I think our September Challenge has been a real learning experience for all of us. Now that more of us know how to do this we've decided to try again in October ... I think this will be a little easier ... and maybe even a little more fun.

The October Bring It On! challenges will start on Friday, October 3rd. The rules for the challenges are as follows:

1. There will be three 1 week challenges held in October. Each challenge is concluded at the end of the week and a winner is declared. The next weekly challenge will start with a clean slate and all teams results are set back to zero.

2. There will be two teams competing. Regardless of the number of participants. The more participants, the larger the teams. Results will be based on average amount lost per team member.

3. Sign up on this thread will include signing up for 1 week, 2 weeks, or all 3 weeks depending on your schedule. If you know that you will most likely be too busy to post and be active during the second challenge week, then you would only sign up for weeks 1 and 3. Please do not sign up for a challenge if you do not plan to be active with the team on a given week.

4. Weigh-ins. Starting weight (SW) is due the first day of the challenge. Anyone who has not posted their starting weight by 11:00pm EST on the starting day will not be included in that week's challenge. The same holds true for the final weigh ins (FW). If you do not post your final weight by 11:00pm EST on the last day of the challenge, your results will not be included in that week's challenge. If for any reason you will not be able to post that day, please make prior arrangements with me.

5. I will post the initial team lists for the month on September 30th. That will give each of the teams 3 days to formulate their game plan, create their team name and touch base with the team members who will be participating in the week 1 challenge.

6. Anyone who wants to join in after the initial teams are set can post to the BIO October Challenge Thread at any time. I will then add them to a team prior to the start of the next challenge.


Remember, that the object of this challenge is not only to lose weight, but to support your team members in their weight loss. Hopefully you will also get to know each other better and have some fun with it.

The three weekly challenge dates are as follows:

Week #1 Challenge: October 3rd -- October 10th

Week #2 Challenge: October 10th -- October 17th

Week #3 Challenge: October 17th -- October 24th

When you sign up to join the challenge, include your name and which of the challenges you are signing up for - #1, #2, #3, or any combination of weeks. The teams will be posted on September 30th.
